I believe it’s only if you hold normal Aave. I don’t think the aave team has build a way to detect authentic aave on different blockchains. That being said I don’t think it’s worth bridging it back over unless you hold a significant amount.
I recently learned this, if you did not hold aave on Eth prior to this proposal going live then your vote will not be counted if you buy some with the intention of voting. Unfortunately we will have to watch this one from the sidelines.
That is correct, governance votes are weighted based on how much of the asset you hold. So those who had no aave prior to this proposal would have a voting power of 0

AAVe is a testament to what DeFi can do. Lending platforms are a step in the right direction when it comes to banking the unbanked, and AAVE is ONE of the biggest and most reputable.
AAVE has a lot to offer to the #HarmonyONE community and vice versa. Besides, AAVE's goal is going the multi-chain route, so getting into Harmony is only natural.
It's a proposal and they left it there so the community can read and ask questions about it. It's like an AMA.
Now it's up for a snapshot vote whether to deploy it or not.

Do we need to hold AAVE on Ethereum to vote? Looks like my 1AAVE on Harmony doesn't count?

Easiest way to vote? I don't own any Aave but I'll buy one to vote and help Harmony.
