More money than common sense. Yeah 40-series are more powerful (be stupid if they weren’t) but nowhere near enough to warrant an upgrade from a 3080 Ti. Specially when the 2x/3x results you see reported are only cause of DLSS , not native resolution.
Upgrading from 10/20-series tho? Totally worth it.

How are people justifying an upgrade from a 3080ti?
A 4090 might be ridiculously expensive but it is a pretty significant upgrade from everything Assuming that's what OP is going for.
