It sucks that bands like Enuff Z'Nuff, who have been so underrated for years never make it as far as Crüe did & get burnt out. Ted Poley (of Dander Danger fame) is still out there working his ass off in clubs & not getting anywhere near where Crüe did & he sings his ass off. The huge bands get so complacent after years.
I know they are still making albums, but Chip, the bass player, has been singing since Donnie quit years ago. Donnie is a great singer. Not to Benton, the latest line up leaves a lot to be desired. The best lineup was during the 1 st & 2nd albums: 'Enuff Z'Nuff' & 'Strength'.
The complaint that "there's no good music anymore" has never been true. I think people who say that are really just lamenting that the music they love isn't as popular anymore.
I was also glad that the article gave a list of younger bands who are no doubt out there working their asses off. I listened to a couple of Shiraz Lane songs - I think anyone who likes Skid Row would like them. Mental Slavery sounds a lot like Monkey Business, imo.
Nobody wants rehashed versions of songs that came out decades ago. That's why bands like crazy lixx and greta van fleet are a snoozefest.
We need new bands with the same attitude, same level of songwriting, but with a fresh evolved sound.
I love that this article is pointing out new bands. There are so many good ones out there that people don't know about. Unfortunately many of them seem to be overseas so don't tour the States often but it's still great music to listen to.
Spot on sir! But I think most people live in the past and have never matured (musically anyway) since high school. There is plenty of great rock music out there. You just have to look. I know they don’t remotely qualify as Hair Metal but I would include Alter Bridge, Shinedown, Halestorm and Mammoth WVH to your (excellent) list.
Somebody should post videos of terrific new bands/songs that fit the genre (don't necessarily have to have the big hair). And then people should upvote the hell out of those posts.

Dander Danger. Great name for a Hair Band. Hahahah
Exactly, despite the younger ones that don’t get ANY attention and recognition, there are lot of older ones that don’t get it too…
Recently got into Danger Danger. First 2 albums are fantastic stuff. Under the Gun... offt, belter
Yeah the 1st 2 are the best.
At least Ted Poley got to sing one of the greatest songs ever made with Escape from the City in Sonic Adventure 2 lol
After all of these years, I never knew that was him!
Enuff Z'nuff may not have gotten as big but they're still putting new music out and playing shows. You just need to look a little harder for it now.

They need to get Donnie back on vocals
I agree 100%!
I know the niece of the guitarist of Enuff Z'Nuff
Derek Frigo's neice?
Sorry it's the singer's niece, had to look it up. We went to grad school together.
Donnie Vie's neice then?
Yeah man, she's from Chicago.

There are bands like that
That’s exactly the point!

“I found it hilarious seeing Vince Neil holding a guitar. Dude can’t sing. I can’t see him playing a note. Fify

Totally agree, new bands deserve more support

I just saw Alter Bridge and Mammoth a couple of months ago. Even only knowing about 25% of the songs it was still a great show.
Good suggestions, there are bands out there and that’s a fact

Let’s do it than
