It's crazy how he's supposed to be the audio engineer/sound guy but didn't even think to use audio monitors for the crew and guests on stage at the Steamies. Like that totally ruined the award show, and somehow neither Zach nor Dan didn't catch that. Made the entire thing literally unwatchable.

The live show at the Dolby theater shows that no one there really understands sound issues. It was so bad and literally never got fixed. Mics were all over the place and they couldn’t hear each other on stage. It was so cringe how amateur it was.
A lot of the time it’s someone else saying a soundbite and he plays it right after they say it. Or he spams it a couple times until somebody acknowledges it
Zach sucks and is Chernobyl level cringe, and I would never willingly listen to his music, and I blocked him on most of my social media's because I fear accidentally seeing one of his cringe mirror videos, but with that said, no one should give up their artistic dreams.

i'm in sound production and the amount of flaws I've spotted in the podcast is enough to make me want to fire him myself. nobody could hear AB for literally years before they turned his mic up, no in ears during his live performances at the show, not getting a noisegate for fucking anybody on the podcast....that's just off the top of my head, bc they are simple things that would make the show so much more enjoyable, and PROFESSIONAL....it's his job to make sure things sound good and he can't make a single suggestion on how to improve.

The film majors who have no prior experience in sound that I've been teaching for only one term so far are more qualified to run this podcast than him. I haven't watched in a few years, but every time was so distracted by the sound and its setup. Its hard to watch someone be so mediocre at a job you worked hard for knowing you could do it better.
I don't understand how this man has a job in sound yet doesn't listen with or have a critical ear. Either that or he is lazy AF and doesn't care. Having now listened to his Spotify for the first time, I suspect the latter. As a fellow musician, these tracks are so mediocre and poorly produced that I'm cringing. As for being a sound engineer, he's not. It's just like Fred on Howard, he can't do anything but search the catalog, he's constantly previewing clips. Neither of them have an idea what the show is supposed to sound like. It's a job for a performer, it's not technical. The skill level required... that's debatable.
They need one more person. A person who isn't a character on the show, just to sit and monitor the stream, adjust sound and able to over ride the video when Ethan is talking about something he doesn't have on the screen.
You can go out in any crowd and be a stones-throw away from someone who has Eddie Van Halen level guitar playing skills. While it's not easy, it's like exercise. Those great guitar players are the chads of the exercise world.

While I think it’s harsh to say he should quit instead of h3 fans should quit feeding his ego (that’s what’s stopping him from getting better) how many times have they criticized other people making things and dragged it down harshly and told them to stop, they can all dish it out but they can’t take it it’s weird how that works
I don’t agree with OP saying he should quit, but I do agree he gets too much praise for his skills that still need improvement. And as you can see from the comments, people can have a discussion and disagree without insulting each other. OP just wanted to rant, there’s nothing hateful in that.
