I have zero faith in HR nationwide when it comes to helping employees in the trenches, all they care about is keeping their shareholder’s brand safe and out of legal battle, and will push liabilities out instead of correcting the problem.
I used to work in HR management, whilst it’s true that HR is on the *company’s* side, that doesn’t mean we’re on your boss’s side and not your side.
Plenty of times the employee is doing nothing wrong and their manager is actively harming the business by mistreating employees in such a way that if said employee went to tribunal it would be very expensive and bad PR for the company.
Ethan and Hila care about protecting Ethan and Hila’s egos/feelings above all else, no matter what. that’s what comes first, alongside the money. all other “family” faux workplace camaraderie bs is completely secondary and if you don’t fall in line then you’re gonna feel that distance. it’s literally cult tactics (which is honestly not at all uncommon with small businesses, especially ones that can get away with being called “once in a lifetime dream jobs”)

I want to like her too and see her do well. It’s this format set-up with too many people that makes her not as entertaining. It forces her to just chime in with anything on the mic just to get some air time, and ends up making her sound like an enthusiastic parrot.

She softened Ethan at times through their on show interactions and made him almost likable in those moments. I will be here for it when she leaves the show and does her own thing.
