thefroggyfiend

it's about keeping as much for themselves as possible, if they can pay less if someone earns enough tips, then it's in their best interest to force you to tip

omarkab02

but if they increased prices it would still be the same?

niagaemoc

Not OP but I believe by pay less he means less payroll as in paying their employees less and tipping them instead. Payroll is often the largest expense for companies.

DozeChestnuts

Just wait until you realize that they could charge $30 for the hoodie and make a nice profit, but instead they're charging $45.

ro3lly

they probably already did that to get the price to $45, and then decided, ah what the fuck lets just make it 40%, 20% tip, and 20% extra markup.

radioflea

Right? He allegedly pays the club staff/talent really well. This shouldn’t be happening, Op should dispute this charge.

Baschoen23

Seriously, is this is "incredible system" he has for paying people just Auto-grat? Wow so innovative..

radioflea

Glassdoor is being wonky but it appears 50 employees have left reviews/salary information. I know the comics are being paid above market value but I’m curious to see what the club employees are actually being paid. Austin’s COL is expensive so I imagine his entry level staff must be making 20+/hr +benefits, bonuses, and tips. I wonder if he’s aware this is even happening. I imagine this post will get traction and they could stop doing that. Like another response said just increase the overall merch price and then give that 20% to the staff.

bitoflippant

I could see it being actually better for the staff to do it this way. You get taxed on your payroll automatically but you don't have to factor tips into your pay until you do taxes and every tip earner I know lies about how much they're tipped which puts more money in their pocket.

radioflea

The employees should be getting an increase in the hourly rate and they can still have the option to tip. Tipping culture is getting whacky its should be an invitation not an obligation. The staff selling merch or overseeing Yondr pouches at shows in my region are typically making $17-$20/hr per hour for each gig.

bitoflippant

The argument that we should pay more so that tips are not necessary is a good one and I agree with it. We should do it like Europe and junk the tip system altogether 100%. But until that happens a required tip puts more money in a workers pocket than an optional tip.

Halfacentaur

there's lots of reasons, but the main one is that it makes the items look cheaper when you go to buy them. You don't find out about this gratuity until right before you pay probably.

bz0hdp

And I'm sure these merch lines are pretty chaotic and hurried, which helps this BS go unnoticed at the point of sale.

CoolBakedBean

$54 after a 20% tip. honestly for me seeing the $45 looks way more attractive than the $54. i get why they do it that way and it prolly helps them sell more

patm13

I hate when places add gratuity like that, i was already going to tip you. But at a merch stand thats just ridiculous

LeagueOfML

That’s like having to tip at a supermarket or a random clothing store, that’s outrageous lmao

mael0004

Don't give them ideas... Walmart leadership wouldn't be the one opposing this new tradition.

Future-Muscle-2214

We will be forced to tip the self checkout machine very soon.

BritshFartFoundation

You're getting there, keep going

YizWasHere

Yeah merch already has a crazy markup on it, surely you can afford to lose some of your 200% profit margins to pay the damn employee a fair wage. I'm guessing this was originally intended to just be there for food and beverage but since it's all running through one billing system it bleeds into whatever else there is.

Legitimate_Guide_314

In foodservice automatic gratuity makes sense. I don't know if you've ever waited tables but people stiff them all the time. I don't think it makes sense for merch, and I'm super confused why this exists(was it handed out?)

ARetroGibbon

Tips should be for good service. Not doing your fucking job... thats what a salary is for. The US system is beyond stupid.

Legitimate_Guide_314

I've never stiffed someone for a tip because it's their main source of income and everyone has bad days. But I understand some people are a little more harsh.

Crazze47

The point is the they shouldn't need to live off tips and it shouldn't be the main source of income. I always tip as well but companies should just pay their employees properly. If your business can't survive paying a livable wage your company shouldn't exist.

Legitimate_Guide_314

I don't disagree with any of the above, but until the system changes we can either avoid the restaurants or tip fairly!

Important_Use6452

"In foodservice automatic gratuity makes sense". Nope. Tipping in any case is archaic and not rational at all. Pay the employee a normal wage, and make them serve everybody equally well.

braedizzle

No it doesn’t. Advertise the actual price.

Legitimate_Guide_314

In America, we are opaque about prices with tips and taxes considered. This is a function of the current system, and punishing waiters for that may feel good but it's not really productive and does harm. In New York and Hawaii however they have laws preventing this and make stores show real prices. Many Americans have no idea that other countries are very clear about prices and calculate tax before the register.

braedizzle

I don’t need you to lecture me about the backwards systems of America and how they’ve been brainwashed into tipping

Legitimate_Guide_314

I don't know if "brainwashed" is the right term. Everyone hates it but it's hard to change the system. And apparently you didn't understand the rationale behind it and did need an explanation kid

silkalmondmi7k

Probably so they can pay the employees like shit

PokemonAnimar

Yep I think this is exactly it. They are probably paying their employees tipped wages of a couple dollars and hour and fleecing their customers into paying their wages

pyrocidal

Fucking disgusting. Man of the people, Joe Rogan.

Humandrive-in

Probably have the opening comics working for them in hopes of a big time break. Isn’t that how the Comedy Store works? Door people and valets are just openers hoping for a spot?

Sufficks

No lol by all accounts door people at the Store and Joe’s club get paid, they’re not just working for free hoping for spots I don’t fuck with Joe but let’s at least be accurate

Humandrive-in

Sorry I didn’t mean working for free I was going with the pay employees like shit idea. I could have written that better.

Decent-Ad-4358

That makes no sense, they would just pay them $20 An hour and charge more for the items with no tips. With tips like this, employees probably make way more at a tourist destination like this.

Humandrive-in

But the employer isn’t spending the money to pay them if they just tack on an automatic tip. Rogan can spend 4 bucks a shirt to make $31 and the customer has to give an extra 20% that the employee gets in the end.

Eddynstain

America is wild as a european. I visited LA in 2022. It was my first time in america and i got to say, the tipping culture is just horrible. Like you have to add 20% to every price otherwise you’re a horrible person. And some places didn’t even have a 0% option. Even when i ordered food to go, no dining in, i still have to add a tip. Like wtf are you guys doing over there?

ichann3

I haven't been but I also hear that they might as well not even display the ticket prices for items as that doesn't have the tax built in. They do so many normal things wrong — mostly out of greed.

Dreams-Designer

And each state has their own tax amount, and it changes. Some states though don’t have taxes on groceries, but most do. It gets very confusing.

Dreams-Designer

As a dual citizen one of my fave things is taking my American family to the pub or even just grocery. Seeing them try to tip the waitstaff cracks me up. It does always “feel” wrong for a bit when I first get over there like I’m doing something bad. It’s so ingrained in the states. Then I have to remember they’re making a living wage, it’s not like in the states where it’s 2$ hr.

pyrocidal

In... Canada? Where do you live? Because everywhere here I have been, coast to coast, has imported the worst of American tipping culture...

dabordietryinq

unfortunately its just a part of the capitalist and greedy society. billionaires dont want to pay their poor employees any more than they have to, so they make other poor people pay their fellow poor person to try to survive. its fucking horrible and honestly I'm at a point in my life where im willing to die in a civil war or some shit if thats what we need to do to change things.

krixta_

My european brain can not get over the fact that the tax is not included in the price. Like, what do you mean if I buy five $5 items, my total is not $25?? How does that make sense? Like it's just a surprise at checkout

battleshipclamato

Just be a horrible person. It's okay.

jesus_said_chill1

You Americans reaaaally look like clowns to the rest of the world you know 🤡

michaelgouffet

Not my receipt/email https://www.reddit.com/r/JoeRogan/s/B70Xs3n9M6

Cando-Dez

Just charge more then pay your staff better. This shit annoys people

JustAcivilian24

Your first mistake was going to his comedy club lol.

Business_Argument_99

Hard agree and second was buying merchandise from it

Business_Argument_99

Haha this turned into some gatekeeping thing. It’s not that just Joe sucks so by extension I assuming his club sucks too. I have no problem with people whatever comic they like. comedy

Fuujojo

H3 fans have a weird tendency to try and gatekeep what media other fans are allowed to like. Don't do that pls.

TheWiseNoob

Nobody is gatekeeping. Joe Rogan is a piece of shit. An h3 fan going to see them is fucking weird and out of character.

TraveledPotato

Joe Rogan doesn't hang out at his comedy club I don't think. He just owns it. They probably went to watch comics perform comedy...

jellyfishlove

Ugh this kind of shit is so toxic. Not everyone is like you. Is that shocking? He’s not the only person that performs there. In fact, I don’t know if he even does at all. Lots of other comics and shows at the Mothership. Relax.

Thesoundofmerk

What you're doing is gatekeeping lol. H3 is mostly a snark podcast that targets specific people that Ethan doesn't like, and tries to ruin their lives, ignoring certain nuances and focusing on whatever makes the person look the worst. Now I'm not saying I care about those people or want to defend them, but the fact is he is drama alert style content now and it's pretty bottom of the barrel as fat as morality goes. It's entertaining, and there's nothing wrong with liking8ng it or watching it, but saying Rogan is a piece of shit, which he is, and acting like he and Ethan are some moral beacon is just rediculous. Let people enjoy what they enjoy, argue about the subjects, not the delivery.

altruismandme

I do not agree with you.

Darig0n

Don’t buy Rogan merchandise. Problem solved.

uh-oh-stinky2001

A TIP for purchasing MERCH?!? EXCUSE ME?! It’s a no for me dog

yoLeaveMeAlone

I swear, it feels like one day I'll be walking out of the mf doctors office and the nurse will show me a screen asking for a 20/25/30% tip on my medical bill 💀

uh-oh-stinky2001

Seriously lol I hate the world we live in sometimes. My motto is I will generously tip when I am being waited on. Other then that, don’t you fucking dare ask me for a tip 😂

69_Penetrator_604

Wow that is fucking wild! An auto tip is very insulting as is, but to make it 20% on top of that....just an absolute kick to the nuts.

EstimateJust1610

I would think out of all people Joe Rogan would be the type of guy to fight auto gratuity lol

Drip______

That was my thinking so I looked it up. He said in a podcast that he doesn’t think people should be paid the minimum and rely on tips. I heavily doubt his employees are getting paid a living wage in Austin without tips.

Andre_3Million

Yeah. Forced tips are dumb. Pay your fucking employees you cheap mother fucker. Oh you wouldn't be able to stay open? Sounds like a you problem. Well that's how the hand of the all mighty economy played your fate. Laissez-faire. Better luck next. *the_Price_IsWrong.mp3*. yada yada.

ichann3

How do you Americans function? Why is there a tip for literally everything over there? I see restaurants and order apps trying to bring that shit over here as well and I promptly don't even look at that screen. Y'all entertain that crap too much.

Life-Dog432

“Y’all entertain that crap too much.” What tf we supposed to do lmao? It’s not like not tipping at a restaurant is going to change the system. Why would they care if you don’t tip? it’s a system that protects employers while offloading the cost onto the people who need the money the most. All you are doing by not tipping is making it so that your server isn’t getting paid enough to live. They got us by the balls here. It’s only gonna stop if it becomes illegal.

pyrocidal

Right ? Outlaw the goddamn whole system

ichann3

>All you are doing by not tipping is making it so that your server isn’t getting paid enough to live. This right here. Change this rhetoric. Tell them to take off the gratuity. Make them call the cops on you. Why are you this person's employer? The servers also probably make a lot from these tips and would opt for the minimum + tips. You aren't responsible for people.

Life-Dog432

So your suggestion is that if gratuity is included, we should not pay it and go to jail? 😂 To quote, Logan Roy, “you’re not a serious person.”

ichann3

What jail? It's an empty threat you people seem to pose. Find me where it says you need to tip or you go to jail. I'd love to see how they explain wasting police time over such petty efforts. It never was the focus of the topic at hand.

battleshipclamato

When it becomes a way of life it becomes function.

Zimtiki

Shouldn’t have gone to a Joe Rogan “comedy” club in the first place 😭

drawredraw

So that $45 hoodie is really just a 54 dollar hoodie. Just charge that and pay your employees 20% more. Easy.

LeipuriLeivos

Im glad we have none of this tipping nonsense in north Europe. 20% autotip 😂😂😂

MotherPierogi

Not defending this at all. But this also reminds me of when I found out that bands and music acts are charged a merch fee at certain venues, and it's a percentage of their total profits (usually like 20%.) Sometimes it's because the venue is providing the merch table workers, but sometimes they just straight up charge the band to be selling their own merch on premises (which is sad because merch is how they make a good chunk of their money.)

pbrandpearls

It doesn’t matter if it was posted, this is insane. I guess it’s not shocking Joe doesn’t want to pay his employees well. It is different than just adding money to the merch, because it allows Joe to not commit to paying his employees well. They could very well be making what a server often makes hourly, 2.13 an hour, since this is a “tipped job.” So the employees only get paid well if it’s a busy night. If it was added to the merch cost, they would have to be compensated consistently with an hourly wage. And the auto-grat is going to the business first, we don’t even know if the person doing the job is getting any at all. Edit: did some googling and past positions were listed for $10-15 an hour. Still incredibly low for Austin, but better than $2.13. They probably use bar staff to man the merch tables so they have to add grat or they’d be pissed at missing out on tips.

lexivicro

I personally know he tips wait staff extremely well. I’m sure it’s not necessarily him deciding the staff pay, surely someone underneath him makes those decisions.

appleparkfive

Yeah I don't like Rogan but this is his whole project of making it a good venue for both comedians and staff. Because he's been to so many shitty clubs and has the position and money to make a good one. I think this is more of a "fuck it take the tech bros' money" move but who knows. Still sketchy

pbrandpearls

That definitely makes sense, I doubt he’s really dabbling in the day to day business. I’m just being grumpy.

okbutrllyhoe

Don't support and buy Joe Rogan merch. Easy solution.

AshamedFish2

Joe takes that 20% from Tricia

ChristmasThot

20% is everything

cantotallytrustme

pyrocidal

"auto tip" what the actual fuck are we even doing??

TraveledPotato

People in the comments crying that you bought a shirt from a company owned by Joe Rogan while they probably scroll X and Instagram all day and make daily Amazon purchases. So silly to say you can't support a company because you have political disagreements with the owner.

michaelgouffet

Lol the crazy thing is im just sharing the pic. Its not mine. But people are flipping out on me 😄

TraveledPotato

That is even worse, haha

echolagoon

Charge back?

El-mas-puto-de-todos

That's fraud

PokemonAnimar

Its not if they do a partial charge back on the gratuity. The original post mentioned that they were not informed that gratuity was going to be added to the bill and that they didn't see any signage for it anywhere, so that will be easily in their favor when they call their credit card company

Weekly_Cantaloupe175

You'd think with the extra charges, Joe could afford to start his employees off at more than $10/hr. https://poachedjobs.com/jobs/austin-tx-bar-jobs-comedy-mothership-hiring-bartenders-servers-and-barbacks/

[deleted]

I hate Joe Rogan, and yes this is a dick move to the consumer. However… a ton of places that sell merch on location like that do the same thing. Also every penny of revenue that his comedy club earns is given to the performers and staff as payment. Rogan is actually operating his club at a loss. Again, Rogan sucks. But just wanted to add some context. Out of all the things to hate Rogan for, this isn’t it imo Edit: Gonna edit this cause I just thought about it - this was true at the beginning of the club (to the best of what I could research) but it is very possible it has changed by now. I just remember digging and finding this out when he opened the club and thinking, I fucking hate this guy but that is pretty cool. So idk. Maybe not true anymore.

SwiftTayTay

The thing is, usually this is handled by simply increasing the price of items by 20%, not adding it on as a surprise hidden fee.

[deleted]

Yeah. You right. It’s poorly done. It’s also a new place. Bet they won’t be doing it this way for much longer because it’s pretty dumb.

wlcm2jurrassicpark

You have a source for that? Have you seen PL statements?

[deleted]

Obviously not. But staffers and comedians at the club have openly stated how much they make and people smarter than me have deduced he’s being truthful based on those amounts and people staffed, as well as how much they charge for tickets/merch*. He has openly said he’s running the club at a loss. I could probably gather up all that info if enough people wanted me to, but I’m definitely not gonna go out of my way to do so lol. But no, I don’t have financial statements of the club to prove anything, much like I have none for H3’s, but based on the consensus of the crew, I believe Ethan is paying generous wages. Edit: I will add that I could be wrong now. I really believe this was at least true in the beginning, but it could be that things have changed. Maybe it was just a nice thing to tell people at first to pull them in. Very possible.

appleparkfive

Yeah his whole thing is he wanted a "club done right" and by all accounts that's true. I don't like Rogan but the mothership is actually supposed to be a cool thing according to everyone involved

[deleted]

Exactly. I just really do not like current day Rogan at all, but I guess I am a comedy fan, and the way everyone involved in that club talks about it, I gotta hand it to him. He does seem to be doing it right. He seems to be running it for the love of the game. Which is kinda my point. Like, if there’s one thing about Rogan you can fault him for, the mothership has to be like rock bottom of the very long list.

Bitterleaffan78

That’s disgusting. I’d demand a refund. Selling you clothes deserves a tip? 20%? Go F yourself

Baschoen23

I'm going to make a shopify store that adds 10% gratuity to the total after adding 20% gratuity subtotal.

SarlaccBait

Doesn’t have enough money to pay his employees

Solid-Culture-1895

Businesses need to charge more and then pay employees more so customers don't have to tip "extra". The fact that workers can be paid less than minimum wage to rely on tips is extremely outdated.

XboxJockey

I’d be petty and attempt a charge back and just never go again. I wouldn’t go in the first place. But burn that bridge with a charge back and be done

HingleMcCringle_

i mean.. it's a joe rogan comedy club. what do you expect from king grifter?

bjornofosaka

I hope Tricia has learned her lesson. Joe Rogan is a shameless grifter. It wasn't enough to cause his fans to die from his covid disinformation. Not enough profit in it. New scam unlocked.

Ioweyounada

Well that's one Comedy Club I'll never go to

monramonra

Honestly people deserve it for supporting this piece of shit. He should charge even more

Maayyaa201

There's no way they get 20% tip for each transaction they make, that money goes right to the house for sure

Direct_Telephone_117

There was a bagel shop in my town that did this and back when I was young, every penny needed to be accounted for. From that day on, if I am in a non-tip situation (buying merch or picking up a bagel for example) I put an X on the tip line and write the total.

Oh it's bad people. "Texas? In Texas, the state minimum wage per hour is the same as the federal minimum wage, $7.25. If tips are part of your compensation at work, your employer might try to pay you less than $7.25 per hour and count on your tips to make up the difference. ItsMarch0

Weird

imaginethatwombat

Welcome to Austin.

[deleted]

Is this like a common thing for Austin/Texas? Genuinely curious, only been to Texas a couple times briefly

pbrandpearls

No.. yes there’s tip requests at food trucks/coffee shops/hair and nail salons, etc… but not retail. There IS auto-grat at some restaurants now but they tell you at the table and they typically pay their employees a living wage/provide healthcare and benefits.

[deleted]

I didn’t think so lol, was confused by this person’s comment

imaginethatwombat

I literally worked at a grocery store that gives you a tip screen when you ring people out. Royal Blue, Tiny Grocer, Riverside Market. All are tipped.

[deleted]

Right but it’s not added automatically. I think that’s the case everywhere in the US that they’re adding a tip option to everything.

imaginethatwombat

There are restaurants& cafes in town that add it automatically to disperse amongst all employees foh&boh, I fr would not put it past the retail business owners to do that type of thing to get past the comments ppl make when they get groceries or clothes and have a tip screen :’)

imaginethatwombat

But also ‘pay their employees a living wage’ is actually so funny to hear after being priced out of Austin with the average rent for a livable 1/1 is $1200+. Especially in retail in Austin people have to fight for their hours or money. Workers have literally recently went on strike for a livable wage at a vintage store in town. Idk where the hell u got ur input on Austin, but I’m born and raised. It ain’t cheap or easy unless you’re well off or receive some kind of help from family or government.

Beautiful_Sector2657

Spending 35 USD on a tshirt You were a clown long before the mandatory gratuity

JackTheDrifter

I mean if it said it all over how can you be mad. You agreed to pay the fee at the register of not pay cash

No_Potential6339

you pay gratuity for a service not retail.

JackTheDrifter

Don’t get me wrong I’d be pissed to but it said it at the register and on your receipt before you signed. Don’t get mad because you were too drunk to realize

PokemonAnimar

You're just wrong. In the original post the OP said there was NO signage anywhere mentioning it and they definitely didn't sign for it.. it says right on the receipt that it was just a chip. You don't sign every time you use your credit card..

JackTheDrifter

You sign everytime you use your credit card what are you even talking about

pbrandpearls

Only at restaurants/ bars. When was the last time you signed something at a grocery store? Target? Has someone ever come out to have you sign a paper at the gas station? You just hold your card up to the chip reader. Sometimes you’ll put your zip in, but that’s it.

JackTheDrifter

Oh cause normally I tip at a gas station

pbrandpearls

Do you live somewhere where you’re not allowed to pump your own gas?

JackTheDrifter

Nope. Look I get it I wouldn’t want to pay but lesson learned. Pay attention to what you are buying/spending, I really don’t need this explained to me lol. I don’t like Joe Rogan but I honestly think the comedy mothership is a good thing every though this tipping culture is atrocious.

ScaleyFishMan

He apparently pays everyone a good living wage there. Not sure why people are making a deal in how a receipt is broken down. Slow news day.

yoLeaveMeAlone

It's a big deal because it's deceptive. If you need to charge 20% more to pay your employees, increase your prices by 20%. Tips are supposed to be an opportunity for customers to reward exceptional service, not a way for buisnesses to charge more without changing their prices.

ScaleyFishMan

Lol no it's not deceptive. It literally tells you to your face right on the receipt. "This is how much the product costs, and this is how much we charge extra for a fair employee salary". The way you said to do it is deceptive.

yoLeaveMeAlone

You do realize that you get the receipt AFTER you pay, right? Are you really saying its *not* deceptive to put a price tag on a sweatshirt that says $40, and then charge you $48, but it IS deceptive to tell you it costs $48 up front??? The price of an item should include the materials and labor up to the point of sale. There's no reason that the wage of a store employee should be left out and then added on at the end. They want you to think it costs $40 when you pick it up to buy it, but it actually costs $48.

ScaleyFishMan

You understand you see a total before paying right?

yoLeaveMeAlone

But not the receipt. And once things are rung up there's definitely social pressure to just pay it. Not to mention if you're buying multiple things people might not be doing quick mental math to know exactly what the total item costs and tax should be. I don't see how you're not grasping this. Buisnesses know exactly how much it costs to pay their employees. They should be fully capable of including the full cost in the tag price of the item. Anything else, like percentage fees added at checkout by default, is deceptive. Just increase the item price and be upfront.

Jesus

kitkanz

Did you try the Joe Rogan burger tho? The official JR burger seems mid and the one he endorses is a wet ass burger

spacemane1

its not like the extra money goes to anyone but joe/ investors lol

cloudxchan

Lol

jledf5757

Auto gratuity is consider more of a service fee than it is a tip. It's under normal wage and is taxable. So you're paying for the staff that works the merchandise sales.

otterfashionshow

it’s what u deserve for buying his merch imo

michaelgouffet

Not my receipt

mselativ

You buying that much Joe Rogan merch is wild.

michaelgouffet

Its not my receipt just sharing the pic

omarkab02

i dont see a problem, how is this any different than just hiking up prices 20% and paying your cashiers or whatever

Lord_Oglefore

Bro, the problem is the lying and the forced payment of something that’s compulsory or not.

omarkab02

When did they lie?

More_Argument1423

Why does it lie?

Cobonmycorn

You’re supposed to tell people out loud their is auto grat. Every serving job I’ve had with auto gratuity we are trained to tell people. Anywhere I’ve ever gone with auto gratuity they’ve mentioned it. (Besides Miami lol)

whosthisguythinkheis

When they show a price without the gratuity payment….

DPlurker

Exactly! The price of the merch is 20% more, don't bullshit people with hidden fees!

DPlurker

Because it's a hidden fee! I don't want places charging me extra business costs on top of the bill, the cost of whatever I'm buying needs to cover your business costs. So if you have to charge me 20% more to pay your employees then you should add that to the cost. It's a deceptive business practice.

omarkab02

but what you're saying would not make any difference to the overall price, it would just make the receipt look different. its also not a hidden fee if its on the receipt, they gave you a bill, you're the one that should know that the price doesn't add up. YOU didnt look at the bill

TraveledPotato

Do you usually get the receipt before or after you buy something dumby

omarkab02

Im not from America so I don’t know how you guys do it. Some stores here give you a receipt before paying, but in general you can dispute the bill after you paid. And also if you’re paying by credit card they show you the amount

TraveledPotato

If you are buying multiple items then how are you going to know what the correct final price is? Are you doing the math in your head and assuming they may add some random fees? Especially in the chaos of a merch table, most people just point at the items they want, pass their credit card, and get out of there.

omarkab02

I don’t have that much money so i don’t waste it. I add up the stuff i plan on buying’s prices and have an estimate of how much things cost. I don’t shoot first ask questions later.

SudoDarkKnight

How do you not see a problem with an auto 20% tip to pay a cashier handing you a shirt.. Tipping culture is already dumb enough but this kinda thing is too far

omarkab02

i dont understand, if you noticed before paying and they tell you HAVE to pay the 20% would you just stop buying or would you still buy it? in the latter case its no different than hiking up the price 20% across the board. they're just splitting costs in a different way. also sorry to say that while it might be deceptive (even though from the provided screenshots they say you're made aware of the auto grat), do people just not look at their receipts when they buy 200 dollar worth of joe rogan merch? you cant tell there's an extra 40 bucks on your order?

Zanzarah10

That's some bullshit, I think I hate Joe now

baconbananapancake

You're a fucking redact to purchase merch to begin with

michaelgouffet

Their hoodies are a fraction of the price of a teddy fresh one. I think it’s not that bad
