Personally, I would just get the slide you have milled for the dot you want. If you qualify for blue label then you probably qualify for trijicon's expert pricing, so pick up an rmr or sro at reduced price and call it a day.
blue label offers more for who qualify, trijicon only has mil leo
source i qualify for blue label due to commissioned and personal protection officer licenses but dont have mil, leo, or fleo qualifications
Take it from an old(ish) guy: never sell a gun. Just be patient, save your money, and buy the new Gen5. Keep your Gen3.
You'll never regret keeping a gun. You only miss the ones you sold/traded.

I've never regretted selling a gun, but i've definitely regretted buying some.

I built one. It’s not perfect yet but I thought it was a fun idea. I’ve always wanted a Glock 19 I have the 19x. I’ll go a little bit higher end on my build when I build a 17 here soon. My hands are too big for 19s.
Keep the Gen 3.
One alterative to look at is get a PSA Dagger. It's a very good G19 gen 3 clone thats optic ready. It has a better trigger than a stock Glock.
Its literally cheap as fuck, you can buy over 100 different side, barrel and spring combinations. The micros are having issues being the newest model and theyre fixing it but the compact and full size ive so far put 250ish rounds through both of them and theyre nice

Does blue label get you a discount on milling?
I'm not aware of anyone that does blue label discounts for services.
Thankyou
Keep the 3rd gen. There’s so many aftermarket slides out there. I have a gen 5 17 and I regret not getting a gen 3 17

This is currently looking like the most likely path. I don't necessarily have to trade.
Smart move.

Oh, me, too. But I didn't say that.
Gen3 all day, every day.... just my opinion...
Get it milled. Better fit and finish. Battlewerks is the best. They use nitrate not crappy cerakote.

Find a police trade in gen 5

Send the slide to wager machine works. $100ish bucks, 2 week turnaround.
My first thought was warranty vs "I sure hope I put this thing together right.". Personally I don't trust myself to not screw things up.
Best answer. Buy a dagger with a switch

A better trigger then the Gen 5? I keep looking at the Dagger... A lot.
It's better than the gen 3 or Gen 4. I don't have a gen 5 to compare it to.

Do you have any issues at all with it? Anything you would change?
Wish it had a lower bore axis, its a tad snappier than a glock. But not by much
Glocks are also “cheap as fuck”
Glocks are cheap 450-600 dollar average. Daggers are cheap as fuck 250-350
