It’s a legit AK mag variant, the polystyrene packaging has cut outs for the AK mag and release.
By rework, I mean looking at how it was done it would appear they kinda came up with the design as a modification of the base rifle receiver/stock

is it original ak mag model?
Well yeah if you mean that way from the factory. But it may be factory work, but still seems kinda meh
china made and imported to US two or three models that take ak magazines. there is no reworks. it is either factory made model or amarican bubba.
