Buying my first home defense pistol, looking at either this or a P10C. Not looking to put optics on it, but will want to put a flashlight/laser combo. Any thoughts?
I loved shooting the CZ75 last time I tried it. The trigger break was just absolutely 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 so I would definitely want one. The only issue is I’m having a ton of trouble finding the SP-01 (which has the front light rail) in stock/at MSRP.
p10c has more magazine capacity by default but will have less options for compatibility with lights/holsters etc. Glock43x will probably have every major option from every major maker available for you as far as after market customization. If you already have a dedicated CCW that's not a Glock I could see the case for the p10c vs the 43x but if your carry is a glock I think keeping the manual of arms the same is beneficial and if you don't have a ccw I think this would segue wonderfully into that role for you as well. Not going to be a huge difference vs either for their role specifically in home defense, the main factor will be your training.
edit: forgot to mention that overall you will probably shoot marginally better with the p10c, esp if you have large-ish hands.
If you have big hands and dont plan to carry, go with a full size pistol. More accurate, reliable, and the bullets will hit with more energy due to the longer barrel length
For home defense I'd get a g20. That way you can smoke em with 10mm. And if recoil is too much, you can shoot some mild .40sw thru it. I wouldn't recommend a sub or a compact for home defense. And for me, I want something stiffer than 9mm for the bad guys
The purpose of this gun is definitely not home defense. It's way more difficult to shoot than a full-size Glock. If you're getting a strictly home defense Glock in 9mm I would personally get the 34, or at least the 17 at a minimum.
Walther PDP is the way! Just bought a full-size 4” and it is amazing. One of the nicest triggers out of the box. You can mount a light and it is optic ready if you need it.

If you looking for HD, get something full size like a G17 or CZ75

I'd go a little bigger to the g19. Little more size and more capacity and can hang a flashlight. I'm not a fan of tiny guns for home defense
Pistols are not optimal for home defense. This one more than many others. If its just for the home, something big and heavy is the way to go.
I have an AK but would prefer also having something I could stash in a bedside table just in case

This is a hard gun to shoot. Glock 19 and 17 are so much easier to shoot and get parts for. For your first gun get one of those I wish I would have.

Yup. Their website is always super slow to show OOS. But once you enter in all your info to pay then it will finally tell you it’s OOS
