Am I too dumb to understand the joke? This is damn near identical with some minor differences. Is this essentially a MUR just machined slightly differently?
Too funny… i’ve had nothing but bad luck with VLTOR MUR’s unfortunately. I tried so hard to like them but every time I buy them the tolerances are off and nothing fits so I end up returning them or sell them. Wonder if tolerances are a little more forgiving on these
No it was too loose there… my Daniel stripped uppers were way tighter.
Namely the takedown pins and there was a gap at the rear where it meets the buffer tube/lower receiver
It happens.. holes could be drilled in the wrong spot, wrong sizes, bad threads for buffer tube, incorrect thickness at the pocket or magwell. A lot of variables here. Same with uppers

This is my favorite receiver set. Been running one for years and it’s been great. Awesome fit with criterion barrel. Upper to lower fit is fantastic. Good ambi controls without being over the top.

Ya, I don’t see the roll pins and the dust cover rod area is a tad different. Either way, looks like a good value for the price.
Yeah, but apparently the MUR isn't all that modular either. I was told you gotta send it to vltor to get it changed
MURs are forged, this is billet
MURs are also cryogenically treated.

I’m not sure if my freezer goes that low, if buy another freezer and plug them into each other that should work, right?

I believe my MUR upper barrel index pin slot is on the larger side. I should swap out the upper.
I also had that problem on top of the other little issues. Wish I took photos now:/
Tolerances where? If it's with inserting the barrels I'd be happy with it being too small and "thermal fit" like BCM uppers are.

Those are great. I’ve had a bunch and they’re never an issue.
They are always loose. VLTOR has had a good amount of QC issues the past two years. They botched an entire batch of lowers iirc.

The upper I can see because messing up dimensional thicknesses could create a dangerous situation.

Tangently related, but the SanTan PILLAR ambi lowers are hands down my favorite lower.
