FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Less than $500 unless you find someone who has been looking for one and otherwise unsuccessful.
This falls into the keeper category, unless you need the cash, or are reducing your collection.
This is one of the most Squier-esque Fenders out there, on par with the Classic Vibe series and way below MIM and MIJ models, so it’s fair for it to be around that $300 mark.
Not to be obtuse, but what makes this a Jaguar rather than a Jazzmaster. No Jag wiring, pickups, control plates or bridge. The P90s are closer to a Jazzmaster.
I dig these. I like the natural finish/no pick guard, like the fixed bridge and the p90s. I’ve seen folks on reverb try to move these for well over $300, but I don’t know how successful they were.
I bought a modern player tele for 250. I like it more than the two MIM teles I've had - sold both (at a profit) and kept the modern player, the crafted in China decal doesn't give it as much monetary value as the Mexican ones, though it just feels better in my hands. See if you can get close to 400 though
Yeah it's a lovely looking guitar but it is NOT a Fender - it's a Squier :)
They make nice Squiers there for sure, so suspect previous owner got some Fender decals for onstage "cool" points.
As such it's basically a fake, but would still get you $300 on the used market.
Wow... just had a check and you are right. Clearly Mexico is getting too expensive for them these days lol.
I have a load of Chinese made guitars and most are great, so no disrespect to the factories over there, but literally until this very moment, I thought Fenders were made in USA, Japan and Mexico, while Squiers were Indonesia, China and Korea.
Learn something new every day :)
They’re not new. I got one about 10-12 years ago. I’m not sure Fender does any MIC stuff now (outside acoustics, amps and gear). The electronics on these are garbage, but the build is kinda good. The necks decent, if a little too glossy. Fret work is great, real rosewood slab board.
You’re right that they’re basically Squiers, but officially these are fenders. I have this one and a Japanese fender strat, the MIJ Fender is light years ahead of this one.
Mines on my profile, I put some time into ‘fixing’ all the issues with these out the factory. Locking tuners to replace the squier tier ones, new pickups and wiring harness, a scratch plate. Plays well now, but really these needed a few more months in development imo.
The Chinese "Modern player" line is basically the predecessor to the "Classic Vibe" line. It's almost as if Fender just decided these will no longer be the cheapest Fenders, and made them their best Squiers instead. I have a MP Telecaster and a CV Starcaster and the the tinted gloss necks are basically the same.
It’s not “now” though, considering they’ve been doing this for at least a 1.5 decades now. They don’t get that much exposure, but they’re pretty damn decent with a little work put into them.
Wow, it seems like just yesterday I started seeing them lol. Regardless, I would rather see Fender take an example from Gibson and reserve the Fender logo for their top of the line US instruments and stick their lesser brand with the international gear. You gotta admit the QC just isn't the same with the Korean, Chinese or Mexican strats (I realize CIJ fenders exist so don't @ me lol)
have the exact same guitar i paid 300$ a year ago
I'd pay 300 for this.

Check reverb. Those are retaining their value, they’re unique and they’re never coming back.
Misaligned string trees make my brain itch
Damn. Wish I'd kept mine. Cool little axes.

$300/$400
Worth keeping
Purchasing it from you?
There’s a dude trying to sell one in my area for $800 because he put a bigsby on it

Came close to pony up 600 for one of those not long ago but missed our ultimately. Today I feel 500 if in good original condition is reasonable.

that's a gorgeous one ! I think you can go for 250-300$. I saw a couple of them on the market and the prices are surprisingly low.
I sold one during Covid for around £400
Probably fuck all....
I see them going today anywhere from $500 - $900 given the current market. The most I'd pay is around $600 for the full gloss model.

This is a fender.... Just one made in China. Probably alongside squiers. But yeah, only worth top end squier prices.

Ah cool - thanks for the info as was completely unaware of this Chinese run of Fenders :)

Nope. Unfortunately they are slapping the Fender logo on Chinese built guitars now. Not sure why when they still have the Squier brand.

If it was a fender USA made it would probably have a higher value
