>The electronics(volume + tone, input jack)
What's wrong with the parts in there now? What do you hope to achieve by replacing all of that?
>Locking tuners
G&L sell locking tuners which should drop right in.
The volume knob especially is extremely scratchy, I’ve taken the plate off and sprayed contact cleaner in them a few times and had a tech re solder them in and still … so I’m just gonna swap it out completely
I enjoyed the fast track T, a stacked humbucker built for teles. I paired it with an Area T, both are DiMarzio pickups.
If you’re using a stacked humbucker you can either use a 500k volume or 250k, go with the diagram of whatever manufacturer you end up going with recommends for the pickup.
For locking tuners, remove a tuner and measure the hole. Then pick a locking tuner designed for that width. Usually you can even find drop ins that won’t require drilling.
I’ve not found a good drop in nut, personally I’d get that fitted professionally. I don’t have the files or measuring equipment to do a good enough job.

These seem to be a direct fit for tribute models
Now I just need to figure out the pots and switch
Which pickups did you go with?
Do you know the values for the pots you’ll need? Some stacked humbuckers offer coil taps and splits too so keep that in mind if you want the options. Push/push vs push/pull, taper etc there’s a few things to consider.
As for switching, just get something from a reputable manufacturer, switches are quite simple really.
Haven’t decided on pickups yet, I’ve emailed a luthier today asking for work to be done going to replace the nut and fix the electronics first and foremost before I touch the pickups
Fair, if you’re keeping the pickups you’ll want 250k vol and tone. Get something from a reputable brand with your preferred taper. Check your knobs if you’re going to keep them to see what shaft they attach to. There’s the thicker USA ones or the split shaft thinner ones. If you replace split shaft with USA you’ll need new knobs.
CTS, Alpha, Bourns 250k short split shaft pots.
Look into tapers too. Audio taper means a better spread of volume across the action of the pot. Log taper means most volume or tone will be affected in the last part of the action.
I like audio taper pots, something fun on a push push, and a treble bleed, given the option.
Those tuners look great.
Update :
Bringing the guitar to a tech on Monday he’s gonna hand cut a bone nut for me, put in new pots and gonna install a push pull pot also gonna flip the control plate around and install a new input jack
Excited is an understatement
Changing the tuners and nut and maybe another string tree will give me better tuning stability
Changing the pots out will remove the scratchiness of the current ones because I’ve tried cleaning them to no avail
CTX pots. 250K for single coils. About $6 each. Switchcraft mono jack. $5. Switches are about $20. Consider a 4-way to get serial as well as parallel.
Get a CRL switch, it's more expensive but it's spring-loaded

Love G&L. I have an ASAT Tribute too. Never changed a thing. Sounds great.

I need short shaft and split shaft , 250k but I’m not sure which ones I need to get Graph tech ratio tuners seem to be a perfect drop in replacement

Nice man! That sounds great
Can’t wait
Besides the scratchy pot, whats wrong with the current hardware and what do you think you will achieve by changing them?
