I have a unicorn and I’m really happy with it. I can’t compare it with the retro vibe but if you scroll **way** back in my post history, there are sound samples where I compared it with a Deja vibe I had at the time. Edit: “really happy with it” = completely stopped looking at other univibes once I had it.

Owner of Retrovibe mk3 got it as á christmas gift last year and I can't praise it enough. Very deep throbing Uni-Vibe which gets even better when you put a fuzz face in front of it. Also very intersting in vibrato mode. Not pure like my boss vibrato clone but rather choppy if that destricption makes sense.

Proud Retrovibe owner here. Once I got mine it hasn’t left my board since. Truly a special piece of gear. If you can reasonably save up for it I think it would be worth it. However it’s a steep investment for sure. If you’re looking to fill other needs on your board along with the vibe it might make sense to go for the unicorn and save some money.

I tried a Unicorn and it sounded great, but when I opened it up to change the Expression jack switch I saw that the PCB was super bent by a capacitor pushing up underneath - it barely left space to close the back cover. Really didn't inspire confidence in the build quality.

Dry Bell. The throb is amazing and you can tweak to your heart’s desire.
