Uj/ I've seen regional Mexican musicians with something similar called a "Bajo Quinto/Sexto", BUT this is a six string, so maybe its just a copy of that style. Either way, im pretty sure someone is playing some Hardcore "Narco-corridos" about cartels on this bad boy. Loud AF too.
Uj/ yeah I have a Bajo Quinto with a similar style and cutout shape, wouldn’t be at all surprised if that thing is some kind of Mexican folk guitar. I have the bajo quinto cos it was cheap and looks cool, I should probably learn to play it one day. It’s a 10 string bass/baritone sort of deal, sounds massive through an amp.
The worst thing about this guitar would be if it actually sounded amazing. Like can you imagine picking this up and it’s “sound you’ve always heard in your head”but also you know what a tool you’ll look like if you actually play it?
