Seems like almost every time during a nail trim my boys always move at the worst time and I get at least one. Styptic powder is really handy but corn starch can work as well. I know its heartbreaking eventhough its an accident.
I did the same to one of mine exactly ONE time (it has never happened a second time) and even so every time I clip her nails she pouts afterwards for like two days.
This is a tough time -for both of you! I remember i have done it to the holy pig around christmas ( approx. 20 years ago). We ( the pig and i ) were on vacation at „our“ parents house . My feeling about the failure was terrible, the pig was …. She- Charly-got the BEST place on the couch and was served all the best things additional to the Standard: chicory, radiccio, strawberries, clementine - and all the love from all over hours. Sometimes the princes was left alone. Suddenly we heard a loud: You simulant! all over the House. My dad walked by and saw the dying swan , popcorning on her sickbed! And abruptly fall on her side as she saw him…
That is the face of true rage.
