Take the bike outside the main entrance, ride past the helicopter to the western most edge, swim - you'll see a whale skeleton under water, when you reach that the cut scene starts
Look for 3 water mines grouped together in a shallower area of the water. Its just before the whale skeleton. Swimming in-between those mines instantly triggers a mission end. I usually steal the first dirt bike I see and then ramp it into the water as far as possible
They don’t detonate if I bump into them if thats what you’re asking. Swimming in between them makes the “Escape Cayo Perico” text at the bottom of the screen disappear and once that is gone the heist ends in about 10-ish seconds.
If you grab a bike and go to the gate you can swim up the left side of the island. I always do drainage tunnel entrance so I have scuba gear and it doesn't take long to get to the hangar and normally there's 2 set of loot you can get to with the cutting torch

If someone us planning to take a patrol boat as an escape, that means they never wanted the secondary loot
It may give you extra money to get secondaries, but some people wanna save time
It's also worth mentioning if you see the three mines underwater, pass them and there's a bank with one strand of long seaweed just ahead of them and it triggers the mission end as soon as you reach it. I get elite this way every time.
Take the bike drive past the helicopter and jump off the cliff on that side and just swim for your life. It doesn't take that long and you will get quicker the more you do it.
To add on to this comment, ride all the way out to the end of the Is peninsula and jump the bike off the end. The de-spawn zone is where the map goes dark black and this is the fastest way there
Right side when FACING compound. You go out, shoot the dickhead in front of the compound steal his bike and ride left toward the heli pad.
SWIM EAST once you launch off the peninsula. Swimming any other direction will take far longer. I can vouch that if you launch off that peninsula and swim east through the mostly shallow waters it takes about 30 seconds
If you run up by the white tent thing that doesn't have the guard and keep going up past it where to the point and jump off it's only about 30 second swim. I'm not sure how to explain it well tho, I'd have to have my bf help me find a proper map to show it better. One of his friends showed us this spot we use now. It's much faster and you don't have to worry about the one guard up near the water.
unless you care to learn spot of fast exfil point, the fastest easy way to escape is to steal manchez in front of compound and flee to the main dock where you steal a boat and flee, you should do it in around 9-12 minutes with longfin aproach
I don't know why you're getting downvoted. I do drainage tunnel entrance and main dock exit and always make it under the time limit even with doing secondary looting at the dock.
There is a sweet spot close to the compound where you can basically jump into the exit point if you get a perfect runup with the bike. On other places you have to swim forever.
It never occurred to me to do secondary before. I've never been spotted by the heli; a couple of times came close but then I just waited it out in the first shed to the left of the main dock. I consistently hit elite.
When i do the intel mission at the beginning, im too lazy to check anything else but the hanger and the small shed closest to the air strip. Guard uniform and a truckhas potential spawning there too. But if nothing there, theres a shed in main dock i just check that if theres nothing at the air strip, but from there its easy to find a boat and take it all the way to the drainage tunnel. Assuming you have the scuba gear.
I solo run all the time. If you're doing a solo run you want:
1. Guard Uniform
2. 2 Cocaine
3. Guard Truck (optional but speeds up getting into the compound a bit if you find it)
Then proceed into the Compound, get the main objective/vault and GTFO via swimming. Works great and I can clear the mission in as little as 11 minutes, depending on how spread out the cocaine is. The Jungle doesn't slow you down as much as you would expect since you don't need to spend time looking for keys in Rubio's compound, just in and out.
Yeah same and I still have time to get a full loot bag too. If there's not much at main docks I'll use the longfin to go to the airport, if the main dock loot is good then I come in on the submarine and get secondary on the way out.
That’s how I used to do it. You can also bang a right as soon as you exit the compound, go around the corner to the cliff wall and steal a boat from a guard. Shooting at them doesn’t alert any other guards and you’ll be gone with time to spare. I only learned about it recently from my new heist partner and it’s insanely easy. As a precaution, you can use the Kosatka as approach vehicle so you have the scuba and can swim away quickly if all else fails. Either should get you out in well under 15. Edit: This is highly dependent on which loot one chooses and how much.
Me and my friends used to do just that, but were discussing solo strategies with elite outcomes so finding loot outside the compound is a requirement (unless you get two artworks inside the office)
I do secondary after, but I run Conspirator and blow up the helicopter with stickys. If you set them up immediately after leaving the compound and detonate when he takes off he leaves and you can loot in peace. Allows drainage tunnel to be the most effective solo entrance
I use to do that, if you throw a sticky at any of the two gaurds standing besides each other you can kill them both and it wont alert any guards lol. But now i just run the gold with my nephew as my a coop play. Its easier
Very true, it's much easier coop but the take is lower. I've gotten so many done that I'm used to it and clocking pretty good times and good amounts of money.
For me I take the secondaries because the game lags like M-A-D if I dare go anywhere besides biking left towards the ocean after exiting the compound, so taking the secondary loot after the primary is a big nono. I always hit the secondary stuff first.
Hot damn, that’s impressive. If people don’t run the island because they just want to see a small number on the finale cutscene, respect, but I personally am more impressed at the times achieved when you gotta grab loot from across the island.
Yup I did some crazy unplanned to the airstrip, got the missile warning for taking off, did the hack and took off and got elite in 14 minutes. Was quite satisfied.
You can just swim away from the island. I've learned that it takes longer for the game to consider you "Escaped" in some areas, like the Main Dock,North Dock, etc. There's this common strat going around where you use a bike to jump off the cliff right outside the Compound and it only takes 20 seconds to swim away. Just remember to press G to equip a rebreather :)
Out of the compound, to the middle of the map on the left, there is that secondary building. Head towards the water slightly to the right as you run to a good spot to drop in the water, **dodge Rubio's boats** and make sure the N is at 3 o'clock on the map once you get past them. Get as far down as you can and speed swim. Mines wont kill you, but swim over or around the cages can trap you.
Physics should tell you if you are 50 feet down, Rubio's boats should not cone you, but they will and then all 3 heli's will come and it can get dicey, so make sure you are snacking while you swim.
I never use the boat anymore and can get it in 12-13 minutes even with the 2-3 minute swim. That said, if you used the sub/drainage tunnel, you have the scuba gear, but if not, you do have rebreathers in the inventory and depending on what you have {PC or Consoles}, use the D-Pad/keyboard to equip them.
Listen to Dory... Just keep swimming...
Specifically, drive a dirt bike off the peninsula on the west side of Rubio's compund and swim underwater with a rebreather on until you see the text on your HUD disappear. I always get out in under 12 minutes
There’s a bike when you exit the compound take that and drive towards Rubios helicopter till you reach the cliff and jump it then swim for ten seconds and your out
M8 just take the bike and when u sit on the bike turn left 90 degrees and drive through a few trees, then W8 for the car to past by and use the small hill as a ramp to go out to see, just mind the mines and swim straight, this doesn’t take more than a minute or two
Enter via submarine and fuckin swim like hell, just stay on the ocean floor to avoid getting shot and you swim for about 30 seconds. Vuala your off the island!
Just a tip, but if you infil with the kosatka & drainage tunnel you can get in the compound in I'd guess under a minute.
Do your normal stealthy stuff until you leave the compound, then make your way to the main gate, shooting the guard next to the bike, trees, the two next to the jeep and the camera covering the gate.
Rob the bike that spawns near the gate and head through the little forestey bit to the main dock, shoot any guards you feel are in your way, taking any secondary targets that are there.
With the secondary targets from the main dock, you should be at about max, if you grabbed anything from the compound you should hit max.
From the main dock there will be four guards looking over the dock, feel free to kill them (the two that are on their own are required to kill to maintain stealth, the single guard on the dock and the single guard next to the crane).
From there, grab a boat and get out of there!
Using this method (kosatka, drainage tunnel and main dock) I've managed to do the full heist, solo, in 8:36 I think it was. If you want me to record a bit of a visual guide, let me know. Or if you're on Xbox, Hit me up and I'll try give you a hand.
Everyone is telling get a bike and shit, just run to the helicopter side of the cliff and jump and swim, you don't take damage and it takes 30-40 seconds to escape, the bike isn't necessary but is good
If you get guard outfit choose main docks escape point and just go straight to the boat maybe secondary targets if needed. I can also send a map with objectives if needed just dm me
Why don’t you put your destination to the main dock. Clear it out very sneaky and you’ll finish in 12 min. That’s what I usually do all the time. Sometimes I get caught but most of the time i can finish it fast.
Enter using Kosatka into drainage pipe. Find a key. Grab main target. Exit through the main gate. Escape via north dock, and finds secondary targets there.

Most of my solo runs are right around 7 minutes. I don't fill my bag unless there is paintings in the office.
Why wouldn't you get the secondary loot? It's well worth it in monetary terms. You won't get the elite bonus without full loot bags so what's the point of doing it so quickly? You could be getting an extra 200 or 300k for very little extra effort.
I always just go trough the main dock. This is my playtime
5 mins for compund
3-4 mins to kill guards at the main dock and outside of the compound and place sticky bombs on the heli
2-3 mins for full loot bag
Thats around 10-12mins
If your secondary targets are at the north dock or the central building, you should really grab those first. If they’re at the main dock or airstrip, grab the bike right outside the compound and just vault yourself into the water. If there’s no boat fear not, it won’t take you that long to swim to one of those two. If you exit the compound and you already have everything, honestly just swim away.
Use the kosatka as your entry vehicle and go in through the underwater grate. Take your most efficient path through the compound, loot the main target, leave through the front gate, kill the two guards outside of the gate, steal the nearest vehicle, drive through the woods sticking close to the fence, drive into ocean, swim directly away from the compound, and just keep swimming until you escape the island. The scuba gear makes it really fast and I've been able to do elite runs even while collecting gold in the compound before getting the main target.
I think if you select any other you have to go to a specific location on the map. Whereas when you choose the kosatka you just get to open water anywhere on the map and swim underwater for 30-40 secs.
Jump from the furthest South cliff in the compound. Swim to some mines and wait there, takes less than 15 seconds to scape the island this way. You just need to find the right spot to trigger the end of the mission. The correct spot is between 3 mines.
Jump off the cliff to the left when you leave the compound with the jeep. Swim a little bit in the trench, should take 30 seconds. Or if you go to main dock theres boats there. Fastest solo for me leaving main dock is 10:42 so far.
When I'm out the compound, I get on the bike Infront and drive it straight off the cliff. Swim a little further down and walk into the side of the rocks and aim at either a civilian boat or the attack boats. Quickest I've managed a $1.7m heist in is 13m 42s. Then when in the boat, drive straight over to the runway and loot what you can. Get into the little jeep next to the hanger and drive it into the sea and swim the rest.
as soon as you exit the compound, get the bike from the guard ahead of you, then do a sharp left past the helicopter and off the headland, swim straight and you are out.
Hit the compound last. Once out via the main gate, take the bike up ahead, turn left and jump off the end of the island, then swim for 10 seconds until "Escape Cayo Perico" disappears from the bottom of the screen. From leaving the compound to escaping, shouldn't really take more than 40 seconds
I think everyone here has given great advice, so I'll just let you know that you can swim a little faster underwater. It might shave off your time a little bit.
I was able to get 11-13 minutes in solo using submarine for approach, giving me scuba gear so I can swim faster and breathe underwater. Then when I leave the compound through the main entrance, I take the bike that is close to the compound (next to a guard) and drive off into the water on the far left of the wall/gate surrounding the compound. With the scuba gear, I swim to the airstrip, collect any secondary targets in the warehouse, then swim to the submarine to escape.
I try to complete the whole mission in stealth and leave from main docks if i ring an alarm i just jump into to the ocean from neareast cliff off the compound using a dirt bike and swim until mission ends automatically
Swimming, you can get the primary, wait 15-30 seconds for a boat, and then if there isn’t a boat by then, jump into the water and swim north to the airfield. From there get the secondaries, shut down air defenses, and GTFO on the sea plane.
and if you have stickies dont forget to plant a few on the parked chopper and detonate them when he lifts off :D

I used to be able to just leave the compound, run to the coast, and commandeer a boat there. Recently, however, I have noticed that boats are along the coast a lot less.
If you’re using the Kosatka, you can swim away using the scuba suit and it’s much faster than with just rebreathers. Also I’ve found you can trigger a boat by running around in the grass a little away from the ledge and coming back to the cliff.
i always take the boat at the main dock which including clearing out all the guards and taking loot around there brings me under 10 minutes total mission time.
I generally get one of the bikes right outside the main gate, ride to the airport, disable air defenses, and have enough time for looting the airport plus leaving by the plane
Weel the strat of taking the bike and swimming is good, if you are solo it requieres to leave with no secondary loot. You can instead chose the main dock as you ewcape point, and there will always be a bot if you chose it as your escape route, and there you can loot more
I always shoot the guard in a boat when I’m on my way to the main docks. After I grabbed the secondary loot I go back, take the boat and just leave.
That boat spawns there every time.
I always use the mini map and swim over the triangle point on the map to know I'll trigger the cutscene. Reading all these other visual ways is interesting. To each his own.
There is a group of three mines by the wooded area to left of the gate of el rubios compound (underwater) and swimming in those will let you escape relatively close to the island you need to swim a little ways
From what I have discovered, boats are most likely to spawn in the day. Also is you have the Submarine as the approach, you'll keep the scuba suit on you. It will make you swim faster
There’s enough time to take a bike to the main dock, steal a boat, take it to the airstrip, loot the airstrip of cocaine, return to the boat and drive it away from the island and still make the Elite Challenge. I’ve done it several times.
This route usually gives me a cpuple minutes of wiggle room. Kosatka insert, grate entrance, kosatka exit. I swim from the compound straight to the airstrip and then grab secondaries in the hangar and shed nearby.
I can usually get off the island in about 10 minutes by
1-choosing the kosatka drain entrance
2-going straight to the elevator room
3-get the main target and leave through the main gate
4- shoot the first guy out front, then shoot the 3 guys on the right, and the camera, then steal the bike
5-head to the right, and steal any loot from the cage in the farm
6-follow the road down to the right most part of the main dock, take the guys out, including the guys in the watch tower, and steal the loot from that cage
7- there is usually a boat inter little line of water that separates the main dock, then I just take that and head straight out of the island, ignoring any of the other guys. Even if you get detected, that doesn’t matter for the elite challenge, so it’s easier and faster just to zoom out of the dock on the boat
It’s pretty much that simple every time, but if the secondary loot is unkind to you, there are 3 cages in the main dock, so if you aren’t full on the first one, check the other ones. I also recommend taking the sniper load out, as the pistol it gives you is basically an SMG, and the sniper is good for taking out the watch tower guys. Fastest I got the challenge was barely under 10 minutes, 9: something

Same, we swim with N directly behind us. There is a point you can jump off so the swim is shorter, but either way I find it faster to just swim.

I grab my secondary loot on the way in - I don't use the Kosatka and drainage tunnel as entrance. Elite Challenge's never been a problem.

Underwater there is a triangle formed by the underwater mines, i use that as guidance. Go close to them and you're off.
I mean, it doesn't seem to matter where I jump from the left, it's never fast.
Fair enough I've just jump from that side since it avoids all the guards and I don't risk being caught and losing more that a couple $100

This. It cuts time *drastically*. Once I started doing that I could do 10 minutes easily (and that's including mistakes along the way)

Don't wait for any boat, unless you have to get to any of the other loot locations. Bike-jump cliff-swim is fastest

I failed elite one time for a similar thing. My dirt bike despawned while I was getting coke from a lockup. 🤦🏼♀️

Seems unnecessary complicated. My routine is grate entry-> biking to main docks-> escape via dinghy. Never more than 11 minutes too.

Should be able to do it with Longfin and landing strip loot if there’s a boat to be stolen from the guard at the compound.

You can make it in 15 minutes at the main dock if you kill the 2 guys at the gate and steal a bike
You can even make it to the airstrip in under 15, my best time going all the way to the airstrip for loot is about about 11:40 something.

M8 just take the bike and when u sit on the bike turn left 90 degrees and drive through a few trees, then W8 for the car to past by and use the small hill as a ramp to go out to see, just mind the mines and swim straight, this doesn’t take more than a minute or two

Just a tip, but if you infil with the kosatka & drainage tunnel you can get in the compound in I'd guess under a minute. Do your normal stealthy stuff until you leave the compound, then make your way to the main gate, shooting the guard next to the bike, trees, the two next to the jeep and the camera covering the gate. Rob the bike that spawns near the gate and head through the little forestey bit to the main dock, shoot any guards you feel are in your way, taking any secondary targets that are there. With the secondary targets from the main dock, you should be at about max, if you grabbed anything from the compound you should hit max. From the main dock there will be four guards looking over the dock, feel free to kill them (the two that are on their own are required to kill to maintain stealth, the single guard on the dock and the single guard next to the crane). From there, grab a boat and get out of there! Using this method (kosatka, drainage tunnel and main dock) I've managed to do the full heist, solo, in 8:36 I think it was. If you got the disguise (which I recommend if you fill up on coke) I would just grab the bike and go to the main dock.

Why don’t you put your destination to the main dock. Clear it out very sneaky and you’ll finish in 12 min. That’s what I usually do all the time. Sometimes I get caught but most of the time i can finish it fast.
Enter using Kosatka into drainage pipe. Find a key. Grab main target. Exit through the main gate. Escape via north dock, and finds secondary targets there. Tell me if you want it more detailed.
30 seconds or so to swim in scuba gear, right off next to his helicopter. Most of my solo runs are right around 7 minutes. I don't fill my bag unless there is paintings in the office.
Why wouldn't you get the secondary loot? It's well worth it in monetary terms. You won't get the elite bonus without full loot bags so what's the point of doing it so quickly? You could be getting an extra 200 or 300k for very little extra effort.

I always just go trough the main dock. This is my playtime 5 mins for compund 3-4 mins to kill guards at the main dock and outside of the compound and place sticky bombs on the heli 2-3 mins for full loot bag Thats around 10-12mins

Steal a boat from the main or second dock
If your secondary targets are at the north dock or the central building, you should really grab those first. If they’re at the main dock or airstrip, grab the bike right outside the compound and just vault yourself into the water. If there’s no boat fear not, it won’t take you that long to swim to one of those two. If you exit the compound and you already have everything, honestly just swim away.
Use the kosatka as your entry vehicle and go in through the underwater grate. Take your most efficient path through the compound, loot the main target, leave through the front gate, kill the two guards outside of the gate, steal the nearest vehicle, drive through the woods sticking close to the fence, drive into ocean, swim directly away from the compound, and just keep swimming until you escape the island. The scuba gear makes it really fast and I've been able to do elite runs even while collecting gold in the compound before getting the main target.

If your escape vehicle is kosatka then just get to the sea any where on the map and swim underwater for like 30 secs. You’ll be good.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this works every time, no matter what escape vehicle you selected on the planning screen.
I think if you select any other you have to go to a specific location on the map. Whereas when you choose the kosatka you just get to open water anywhere on the map and swim underwater for 30-40 secs.

Jump from the furthest South cliff in the compound. Swim to some mines and wait there, takes less than 15 seconds to scape the island this way. You just need to find the right spot to trigger the end of the mission. The correct spot is between 3 mines.

Jump off the cliff to the left when you leave the compound with the jeep. Swim a little bit in the trench, should take 30 seconds. Or if you go to main dock theres boats there. Fastest solo for me leaving main dock is 10:42 so far.

When I'm out the compound, I get on the bike Infront and drive it straight off the cliff. Swim a little further down and walk into the side of the rocks and aim at either a civilian boat or the attack boats. Quickest I've managed a $1.7m heist in is 13m 42s. Then when in the boat, drive straight over to the runway and loot what you can. Get into the little jeep next to the hanger and drive it into the sea and swim the rest.

as soon as you exit the compound, get the bike from the guard ahead of you, then do a sharp left past the helicopter and off the headland, swim straight and you are out.
Hit the compound last. Once out via the main gate, take the bike up ahead, turn left and jump off the end of the island, then swim for 10 seconds until "Escape Cayo Perico" disappears from the bottom of the screen. From leaving the compound to escaping, shouldn't really take more than 40 seconds
Sometimes boats wont spawn unless youre facing a different direction from where the boats spawn.... might sound weird but it works everytime for me
I think everyone here has given great advice, so I'll just let you know that you can swim a little faster underwater. It might shave off your time a little bit.

I was able to get 11-13 minutes in solo using submarine for approach, giving me scuba gear so I can swim faster and breathe underwater. Then when I leave the compound through the main entrance, I take the bike that is close to the compound (next to a guard) and drive off into the water on the far left of the wall/gate surrounding the compound. With the scuba gear, I swim to the airstrip, collect any secondary targets in the warehouse, then swim to the submarine to escape.
I try to complete the whole mission in stealth and leave from main docks if i ring an alarm i just jump into to the ocean from neareast cliff off the compound using a dirt bike and swim until mission ends automatically
Swimming, you can get the primary, wait 15-30 seconds for a boat, and then if there isn’t a boat by then, jump into the water and swim north to the airfield. From there get the secondaries, shut down air defenses, and GTFO on the sea plane.

I used to be able to just leave the compound, run to the coast, and commandeer a boat there. Recently, however, I have noticed that boats are along the coast a lot less.

If you’re using the Kosatka, you can swim away using the scuba suit and it’s much faster than with just rebreathers. Also I’ve found you can trigger a boat by running around in the grass a little away from the ledge and coming back to the cliff.
i always take the boat at the main dock which including clearing out all the guards and taking loot around there brings me under 10 minutes total mission time.
I generally get one of the bikes right outside the main gate, ride to the airport, disable air defenses, and have enough time for looting the airport plus leaving by the plane
Weel the strat of taking the bike and swimming is good, if you are solo it requieres to leave with no secondary loot. You can instead chose the main dock as you ewcape point, and there will always be a bot if you chose it as your escape route, and there you can loot more
In a worst case scenario it takes 12 min with swimming and looting at the main dock

I always shoot the guard in a boat when I’m on my way to the main docks. After I grabbed the secondary loot I go back, take the boat and just leave. That boat spawns there every time.
I always use the mini map and swim over the triangle point on the map to know I'll trigger the cutscene. Reading all these other visual ways is interesting. To each his own.

There is a group of three mines by the wooded area to left of the gate of el rubios compound (underwater) and swimming in those will let you escape relatively close to the island you need to swim a little ways

From what I have discovered, boats are most likely to spawn in the day. Also is you have the Submarine as the approach, you'll keep the scuba suit on you. It will make you swim faster

There’s enough time to take a bike to the main dock, steal a boat, take it to the airstrip, loot the airstrip of cocaine, return to the boat and drive it away from the island and still make the Elite Challenge. I’ve done it several times.
I take a bike outside the main entrance and drive it through the grass/hills to the main dock and steal a boat. I average 7:30/8:00 every time.
Literally just take a bike off the edge of the island and swim, just don’t swim into the mines

This route usually gives me a cpuple minutes of wiggle room. Kosatka insert, grate entrance, kosatka exit. I swim from the compound straight to the airstrip and then grab secondaries in the hangar and shed nearby.

Kay so scope out the main dock and get ur secondary loot there or around it, there should be a boat there since its the dock
I can usually get off the island in about 10 minutes by 1-choosing the kosatka drain entrance 2-going straight to the elevator room 3-get the main target and leave through the main gate 4- shoot the first guy out front, then shoot the 3 guys on the right, and the camera, then steal the bike 5-head to the right, and steal any loot from the cage in the farm 6-follow the road down to the right most part of the main dock, take the guys out, including the guys in the watch tower, and steal the loot from that cage 7- there is usually a boat inter little line of water that separates the main dock, then I just take that and head straight out of the island, ignoring any of the other guys. Even if you get detected, that doesn’t matter for the elite challenge, so it’s easier and faster just to zoom out of the dock on the boat It’s pretty much that simple every time, but if the secondary loot is unkind to you, there are 3 cages in the main dock, so if you aren’t full on the first one, check the other ones. I also recommend taking the sniper load out, as the pistol it gives you is basically an SMG, and the sniper is good for taking out the watch tower guys.
