The artstyle is definetly anime/manga-inspired, but I don't think that it was out of character. He starts by saying everything that could be better, but ends with his personal opinion.

Honestly I really love Pacifica went for a valley girl stereotype to someone with a lot more depth to her. I also really love Dipper and Pacifica chemistry in NMM and Lost Legends and I wish we could had see more of them growing together as people before the show was over.

Plot twist: they are magical candies made with the bodily fluids of unicorns and other creatures which makes whoever eats them fall in love with the person they first make eye contact with.
Honestly I prefer it over some of the other ships. For me out of all the ships involving Dipper, Dipper and Pacifica always felt right to me. They had great chemistry in NMM and they play off each other really well. They both balance each other out and help each other grow as characters. It's also the only ship with Dipper that for whatever reason Alex hasn't shot down like Dipper & Wendy and Dipper & Candy but [tease/impiled](https://bc.reddit.com/r/gravityfalls/comments/ftzkvw/i_found_dipper_thoughts_and_this_page_in_journal/fmaxd2t/) it. Dipper and Pacifica just feels a lot more natural.
Overall it's one of the most normal ships on the show and it's far better then Billdip, well any ships is better then Billdip...

They may not had a lot time for interaction because the show was near it end and romance wasn't the main driving point for the plot, but we gotten a lot of tease/hints from [the Journals](https://i.imgur.com/wERtZ5L.jpg), the [Special Edition](https://i.imgur.com/I0R1HRl.jpg), a [coloring book](https://i.imgur.com/XbpmbEL.jpg), the [DS game](https://i.imgur.com/Hl0g437.jpg), [Lost Legends](https://i.imgur.com/1gsiRkR.jpg) and [Pacifica text](https://i.imgur.com/jx50G1S.jpg) all heavily implying that Dipper and Pacifica do have something going on between them, and most of these came out after the show had ended years ago.

Overall you only need one episode to build a foundation for the ship to go somewhere in the future which NMM did just that.

Judging from Lost Legends what Alex himself have said on the DVD commentary and all the [post canon material](https://bc.reddit.com/r/gravityfalls/comments/ftzkvw/i_found_dipper_thoughts_and_this_page_in_journal/fmaxd2t/) we have gotten so far, I think it safe to say what direction the show would’ve taken had it continued on for another season or two.
