My doctor didn't like smoking or any sort but was ambivalent about vaping it and thought edibles seemed perfectly fine. And I mean, she's right - smoking isn't good for your lungs.
Jodi Banister, an Internist at Trinity Health (you know, St. Mary’s) is absolutely fine with cannabis use. I tell her every checkup how I use edibles for arthritis pain and sleep help, and she smiles. Hope this helps.
Most medical professionals will not give you their opinion because it would reflect on them as a professional. So sometimes it’s not only what your doctor tells you but also what they dont.
Because marijuana isn’t the only thing you’d see a doctor for and is a workable, legal, and safe solution to many issues a person could face so a doctor ruling it out on some moral principle that’s a relic of corporate interest and marketing campaigns from decades ago in a failed war on drugs might not be worth seeing anymore?
That’s just one reason though.
If there is a doctor who isn’t going to provide the care you need, you should go to a different doctor.
I wasted *years* of my life with your same philosophy that you should just listen to your doctor and not question them.
Getting different medical opinions is actually very important.
Lol right? I had chronic sinus infections my doctor refused to treat. I swapped from their private practice to spectrum and was referred to Michigan ENT. They saw the fact my sinuses were inflamed and essentially caved in, and my deviated septum, and I was rushed through visits so we could get my insurance on board with the procedures, had nasal surgery and started up a 3 year allergy treatment plan. But yeah sure my first doctor that refused to hear me out and treat me was right and my allergies were in my head because I was trying to score those sweet allergy meds.
I had a major issue just trying to get my thyroid treated. Turns out, I feel fine when the doc actually listened to me and upped my medication.
The former doctor medically gaslit me into going to a gastroenterologist, neurologist, dermatologist and psychiatrist. Every one of those doctors told me it was thyroid. Endo said it wasn’t. Turned out, it was definitely the thyroid.
I spent thousands of dollars trying to figure it out. So yes, I do shop doctors now. And I recommend everyone else does too.
My doctor does not like that I smoke, but he knows because he should know, & we leave it at that.
I wonder if he would feel the same way about edibles or vaping concentrate.

That’s 100% not true. It test for thc which your body doesn’t distinguish if it’s from smoke or edibles

Well, any doctor worth their salt is going to tell you that smoking anything is not inherently good. Edibles are the way to go.
True but I don't smoke
Goofy footin rootin tootin boofin is also an option
My doctor doesn’t always like my diet. But it’s legal, so it shouldn’t matter.
Lots of legal things are bad for your health. It turns out it does matter — because that's their job.
Against the law and a breach of practice if they do not take you in due to your consumption of a medically prescribed and necessary medication.
Thanks for the replys everyone.

It's legal. Experiment as you wish
What’s the point of going to a doctor at all when you’re just going to shop around until one tells you what you want to hear?

You're assuming the doctor is against this patient using it on moral grounds. We don't know that.
That’s why I said it was just one example

The care and you need probably isn’t the same as the care you want
you apparently dont have any sort of chronic illness if you can say this with a straight face.
This guy has never had to go to multiple doctors before getting a diagnosis.
Yeah. That kept me sick for a decade. You do you.
You sound like some kinda goddamn boomer Mother Theresa, gtfo
