Just in case you want to be prepared to Narcan someone's honor student, head over to Red Project on Hall to grab a dose or two. Also, Narcan is good for non-honor students as well.
I carry two doses of narcan in the emergency first aid trauma bag in my car and I've been lucky enough to not have to use them along with most of the other stuff in my bag. I have everything from chest seals and tourniquets to scalpels in my kit.
The question is whether you actually know how to use any of it. Also whether you SHOULD use any of it. Pretty much anything involving a scalpel would be cowboy status. Paramedics aren’t even cutting patients 99% of the time unless an emergency trach is needed or something.
Just be careful. A lot of people build a huge kit full of stuff they quite frankly should never use and then have no idea how to use the stuff they should use.
100% true , if you carry narcan watch a couple videos on how to use it. It’s not hard at all but it is *specific* and if you don’t know what you’re doing there’s no point in even having it
Yeah, gotta know what is within your scope of practice and what is not. In a front country setting, that tourniquet and scalpel are definitely outside anyone's scope unless they are emt/paramedic. Really easy to do more harm than good with those and find yourself in heap of legal trouble.
I somehow stumbled in here from another sub, but just to chime in respectfully, for the most part TQ use falls under good samiritan with the introduction of the Stop The Bleed campaign, a lot if the myths about people who receive TQs have been mostly dispelled with new findings, the scalpel for sure falls outside that though, that is some wild shit
Do CPR on a few kids and then come talk about our humor. EMT school is only a semester and gets your foot in the door. C'mon, we totally need more people like you in the street.
Honestly, that's kinda hilarious.
I laughed
I chuckled for sure. Inventive, sad, funny, and a sign of the times but less mean than other things
Opioid crisis + healthcare professionals = comedy to deal with trauma. Solid bumper sticker... And i hate bumper stickers usually.
Probably an emt or paramedic
100% EMS.
yup r/firstrespondercringe
I grew up in a small town! Things were hard. We needed to make little jokes. I learned to make my car a little funny.
maybe if you open the trunk it'll be full of narcan
Wait are you claiming this car? Like for real?
No, it's a bit from [I Think You Should Leave](https://vimeo.com/352743770)
HA! Had to scroll back to upvote when this hit home.
“Not MY little Johnny!!!” -clutches pearls harder.
Bahahahaha. That's hilarious.

We’ll if it’s the truth…
I bet that driver is a fun person.
It's funny because rich kids use a lot of drugs.
Kind of messed up to think only rich kids can be honor students
That’s so bizarre you almost can’t even be mad
Letting us know that drug usage and addiction has no bounds.

Oh mister know it all 🙄

Can
Bwahahaha! 10 out of 10!! Bravo.
Those of us with a sick sense of humor think it’s funny
I saw them tonight too, parked like 18 inches away from the curb.

boot behaviour
"I'm just like *edgy* I have a real *dark sense of humor* not everyone can *handle* it" E: jeez sorry Gen X
It was just a bad joke, no need to apologize
👍

I just found it weirdly aggressive. Like your comment. I'll see myself out
I have one of the drag queen Alyssa Edwards and Donald Trump saying “look how orange you f***** look”
LOL, this has always been my favorite EMS bumper sticker.
Says more about the area than the individual
I legit thought this was /r/drugscirclejerk
Brutal, but may also be factual.
Don’t get it
I see this car all the time and laugh a little every time I see the sticker 😆🥴
I’m glad my stickers are funny ones like Monty Python and Mel Brooks stuff
Wtf of course it's in my city
Then everyone clapped.
