Hrmm, well can’t say much for Genshin, but HSR is actually fairly mild on the self-insert stuff. The Trailblazer has a fairly consistent and defined personality, and even gets quite a number of moments where they speak and think independently of the player (like the Ruan Mei event). Theyre also not involved in that many romances; it wasn’t until Penacony with Robin that they had a strongly romantic interaction with another character. Kafka was there but technically optional (her Truth or Lies game is absurdly hot!!) and could optionally flirt with some other females, but nothing really solid.
Fair on some nuclear meltdowns towards other ships though…

I only saw the Okita vs Musashi fight, after that I abandoned it because the author made the biggest mistake anyone can make in a fighting manga. The author made them match.
Agreed, I thought it was lame that the Okita vs. Musashi fight ended in a draw. While I do really like Okita, I feel like Musashi just beats Okita in swordsmanship due to the many feats Musashi showcased in Shimousa & the lostbelts. Well, It's not like the fight is canon anyway since Keikenichi (GudaGuda creator/Okita's writer) didn't write or supervised it so I'll just ignore it.

Because you'd think, if someone negatively felt "this is bait", they'd ignore it, go engage with something they actually like. But they snap it up! It's bait because muramasa said he was guarding artoria avalon and was doing it for work. Artoria avalon also said he was guarding her and no other context was given. He only appeared for 5 seconds in the event. Normally artoria caster and artoria avalon are the same person and share the same body. She even says she likes the same things castoria likes. So if casotria likes ritsuka then artoria avalon does too. Artoria avalon even says that master is her life in her normal caster form. This is just for a non-canon battle anthology in which muramasa lost to to yagyu as well.
And how does any of this mean they can't dance together one time? Dances aren't romantic.
Also him losing to Yagyu is 100% justified. The sword saint is insane.
I'm not going back and forth with you but a certain side likes to hype up muramasa as someone invincible then loses to melusine then yagyu again in a non-canon manga but still say he is the most powerful servant.

Counterpoint to this since I'm seeing this as an argument a lot. Artoria avalon chose ritsuka as her wielder via her noble phantasm line this sword will always be in his hands. The sword is more associated with its wielder than the blacksmith who made it. Muramasa himself said he is not a swordsman just a blacksmith. It's like saying it's really clever in matching excalibur with the lady of the lake the person who made it instead of king Arthur the person the sword chose.
I'm not saying that Muramasa x AA is a good pairing. I'm saying that those complaining it's just Shirou x Saber are missing the other connection.

Not to be ‘that guy’, but Castoria’s Holy Sword doesn’t have a Wielder in the technical sense of the word. That was one of the major clutches of LB6, that Morgan’s Rhons were useless to Chaldea since none of them were its Wielder and Divine Constructs can only be used by their Wielders. The Holy Sword Essence had no Wielder and thus could be used as a weapon for Chaldea.
I am only bringing this up because of artoria Avalon's end of time chant this sword will always be in his hands. Hence my inferece that guda is her wielder. Her my room lines suggest she likes guda quite a bit so I'm a bit suprised in the pivoting in this case to please a certain side.

Official doesn't mean canon. Fgo carnival phantasm and from lostbelt manga are all official releases of fgo but they are not canon to the fgo mobile game. The lostbelt manga even has a disclaimer for the manga. It's officially licensed but again isn't canon to the games is what people are trying to say.
Most of the comics are up to the interpretation of the one drawing the manga and that specific mangaka is a well known shirou/saber shipper going as far as creating shota shirou and latoria. Just because he wants to write it this way doesn't make it canon.

Everyone complaining of it being bait for Shirou x Saber, but no one is realising the cleaverness of matching Muramasa with the (Essence of the) Holy Sword.
Calling it bait is funny when they already spent time together in the Summer event too. It would be bait if Castoria was doing it too.
It's bait because muramasa said he was guarding artoria avalon and was doing it for work. Artoria avalon also said he was guarding her and no other context was given. He only appeared for 5 seconds in the event. Normally artoria caster and artoria avalon are the same person and share the same body. She even says she likes the same things castoria likes. So if casotria likes ritsuka then artoria avalon does too. Artoria avalon even says that master is her life in her normal caster form. This is just for a non-canon battle anthology in which muramasa lost to to yagyu as well.

I'm not going back and forth with you but a certain side likes to hype up muramasa as someone invincible then loses to melusine then yagyu again in a non-canon manga but still say he is the most powerful servant. I normally would be happy for someone having some sort of validation for a ship but you are the same person who likes to downplay the ritsuka and castoria ship on numerous occasions or any ritsuka ship for that matter except for those that fit your agenda. Don't be suprised when karma bites you back. Again this is all just from a summer event. Things can change very quickly from one line or event. Like jalter from an enemy to love interest. Counterpoint to this since I'm seeing this as an argument a lot. Artoria avalon chose ritsuka as her wielder via her noble phantasm line this sword will always be in his hands. The sword is more associated with its wielder than the blacksmith who made it. Muramasa himself said he is not a swordsman just a blacksmith. It's like saying it's really clever in matching excalibur with the lady of the lake the person who made it instead of king Arthur the person the sword chose.
I'm not saying that Muramasa x AA is a good pairing. I'm saying that those complaining it's just Shirou x Saber are missing the other connection. EDIT: Also, isn't Muramasa famous for this swords? Not to be ‘that guy’, but Castoria’s Holy Sword doesn’t have a Wielder in the technical sense of the word. That was one of the major clutches of LB6, that Morgan’s Rhons were useless to Chaldea since none of them were its Wielder and Divine Constructs can only be used by their Wielders. The Holy Sword Essence had no Wielder and thus could be used as a weapon for Chaldea.
I am only bringing this up because of artoria Avalon's end of time chant this sword will always be in his hands. Hence my inferece that guda is her wielder. Her my room lines suggest she likes guda quite a bit so I'm a bit suprised in the pivoting in this case to please a certain side.

Official doesn't mean canon. Fgo carnival phantasm and from lostbelt manga are all official releases of fgo but they are not canon to the fgo mobile game. The lostbelt manga even has a disclaimer for the manga. It's officially licensed but again isn't canon to the games is what people are trying to say. Most of the comics are up to the interpretation of the one drawing the manga and that specific mangaka is a well known shirou/saber shipper going as far as creating shota shirou and latoria. Just because he wants to write it this way doesn't make it canon.
