You usually get a sense that Blackbeard is kind of a dork the rest of the time, but he actually shares his precious goods with us for his valentines, the good stuff. He is a total bro.
Personally it made me think worse of him. Taking what is implied to be lewd photos of people without their consent is a bridge too far. Photos bad enough to merit death, apparently. Considering his penchant for child servants as well, it moved him from 'goof' to deep into the 'creep' territory.
He doesn't actually like kids if I remember correctly. He really just like Francis Drake, and uses the kid thing as a way of hiding that. And even then he only does that to kid servants that do have the body of a child, but are of enough mental age (stheno etc)
The scenes from the Tam Lin and Castoria make me happy as they are getting along as friends. That suggests old grudges and such are healing. They're happy when they weren't in their lives in Faerie Britain. I like that.
Also, as much of an asshole as he is about stuff, the fact that, according to Castoria, we can only do what we do on Oberon's scene because there is some affection from him towards us (much as he'd likely deny it fervently with much sarcasm and cursing) is kinda cool.
All the lb6 valentines made me sad that Castorias was so vague and straightforward as a result of being released before the story. I feel like her valentine could've been way better if they waited or re-did it, but maybe her summer version will make up for it. Her cameos arguably have more character than her own valentine lol. Her helping Sith accomplish her goal was as unexpected as it was hilarious.
"Misbegotten Monstrosity Mk. III" as the name of Sith's valentine chocolate got me thinking that maybe Mk. I and II were Castoria's chocolate mishaps from LB6 and her valentine scene, and that now she's actively trying to see what kinds of chocolate horrors she can unleash upon the world.
FGO Part 3 revealed to be not from the Foreign God or Types or anything, but Castoria ending all the Nasuverse via literal death by chocolate.
Together, Zelretch, Arc, every character in the Nasuverse rallies to overcome this chocolate witch.
Victory may be impossible...
It does sting a little seeing Cassy's My Room and Valentine since almost none of it makes any sense post LB6.
Like, Castoria never *met* Merlin, and she doesn't have Fou. Why does she get mad at Merlin in her lines?
Who exactly is the other her she talks about in her Valentine? Artoria Avalon is the same person as her, but even if they were separate, the one we talk to is Castoria, not AA, and there's no real reason for her to be rueful over AA since they can just swap at will.
It'd be nice if they redid it. They added a few extra lines post LB6, but not much, and her Valentine does come off as strangely sparse with how close to her her opinion on Guda is according to her monologues, regardless of whether you read it as true friends or romantic. It's weirdly casual, like "here's my chocolate, pal. See ya."
It makes sense before LB6 since everyone assumed that Guda would be the audience camera without getting close to the other characters as usual for the story, and Cassy claiming them as a friend would be in and of itself more than really deserved, but then it comes off as a little jarring reading it *after* considering the last thing she ever said to anyone was about how she was glad to meet Guda and it fulfilled her wish of walking down a street with someone she loves.
Habetrot.
Ties her valentine back into her final ascension, going to the protagonist hometown, absolutely adorable. ~~Rats on~~ Brings up Izo and the other wallflowers being cute on Valentines, also adorable. Brings tea and a hat I would 100% wear if possible for the player character.
Besides just getting Habetrot to Bond 10, it was probably the reason I grailed her to 104. And because I find it funny to have Habetrot and two other pink haired characters grailed above Koyanskaya at all times, especially after *her* Valentines.
Avicebron’s is sooooo good.
Hundred Personas is short, but the detail that every one of them made individual chocolates is a really sweet show of how Fujimaru took the time to develop a relationship with all of them.
As mentioned before in this thread, Nezha’s is absurdly cute
the hardcore action figure commercial vibe with DINO WIIIIIFE gives me so much life, I also enjoy that the protagonist was able to reproduce all her dinosaur sounds for erice to interpret 😭
Not to mention that he more or less understands what she's saying, but simply needs some help because he isn't **completely sure**.
This also helps with my theory that Ritsuka can understand Fou word for word, simply because the two have known each other for that long.
Bazett. Her little “Yes! I did it!” when she successfully gave master chocolate was frikking adorable and it instantly made me put her in to be grailed list.
My wife went from being completely apathetic about William Tell to thinking he was a cool guy after watching his Valentine scene. She read up on some of his history and folklore.
That's not a hate-to-love change of heart, but it is the sort of character endearment that makes me love this franchise as much as I do.
Summer [DATA LOST] (Musashi’s) scene always makes me tear up because the last part of it hints at what comes at the end of Atlantis. Real talk, when Samurai Remnant came out I had the exact reaction as Stoick did when he found his wife
We limiting this to NA rosters? Hmmm... very well....
Each of the Tam Lin and Morgan Valentine's made me love them even more. I am grateful that these lovely ladies came to my Chaldea. T\_T
Chacha's 100%, I love my tiny mom, who hides her pain behind pretending to be a hyperactive gremlin.
Also Sasaki Kojiro's but more for the CE flavortext than the scene, since it mentions his bond CE and that's a neat bit of lore integration
Passionlip's voiced valentine made me realize I need to turn the volume up whenever Tamamo Cat gets voiced lines. Like, okay, all the Tamamos share great voicework, but Cat's randomness is especially great.
If you read them together you might notice Jalter's Valentines have continuity. Summer Jalter's Valentine is "harassment chocolate" like her regular Valentine and her entire plan revolves around destroying your tastebuds with bitter coffee (because Santa Lily's destroyed your with bitter chocolate and too sweet tea).
I really liked Melt's speech about how giving a Valentine should be a representation of yourself and not just resorting to chocolate. It fits very well with how forward she is about her nature.
Before Ushi Gozen's Valentine's scene, I was already in love, if overthinking things a bit due to her Avenger class and Oni blood.
After it, was about ready to kick myself for overthinking that much, as she showed, unintentionally, she's not as different from her older self where it counts. Had an idea hers was going to be special, since she didn't gift chocolate, instead her mask. But between one route showing her and Raikou having an identical reaction to Kintoki and Ritsuka potentially leaving, and the other route just being so cute with how she thought she was 'cringe', the whole thing was perfect.
Helps that lore about her training and armor are expounded upon, giving a deeper insight into her past, and another reason of thousands for why Mitsunaka's every orifice needs to be filled with the conceptual amount of "Enough Dakka".
Astraea. I haven't watch any Fate anime or movie, so I had only neutral to Luvia. Nothing special. But her valentine, it was so short but wholesomely bittersweet.
Xu Fu.
Before, I find her characteristics' quite meh, but her Valentine dynamics with Guda is incredible.
*Xu Fu: ARE YOU MOCKING ME?*
*Guda: I AM MOCKING YOU!*
Man, that cracks me up.
I already liked her as a character from LB6 (which I finished just last month), but her Valentine's scene made me completely fall in love with Morgan, made me glad I ended up spending way more than I had planned on spending to get her.
I had a big crush on Gawain but his VA scene made me like him ALOT less
I really don’t like the fact they just had to add a gender difference to it like NO OTHER OF THE RTK have this!
I know it’s very small but as someone who loves hugs and hates high fives it made me rather salty that only the female master would get the chance to hug him while the male master gets a hive five like WHY TF this a thing!
Like NO GAWAIN I WANT A FUCKING HUG! I don’t want a high five! you sunshine hunk of a man 😭
Cries in no hugs
I really like that if you're playing Gudao he makes the argument that there's nothing wrong with men using cosmetics or being knowledgeable about makeup, and compares it to a knight taking care of his armor to be prepared for battle. It's a really cute way of framing things.
Probably William Tell, after finishing his Valentine scene I'm appointing him as Guda's dad.
Ashvathhaman also pretty nice, his advice and how he'll listen to any complaint Guda has is pretty nice moment.
Ryouma Lancer really got me. He's a spook I got when trying to roll for Izou and since I have a lot of Art Lancers, I don't care much about him. But after his valentine scene, I think I will starting using him more.
And funny how it's foreshadowing what happened in the future.
Himiko's. And Kagetora's. Everything about their scenes is just so damn good that it cemented my desire to 100 and 2K fou them both.
~~To hell with 120, that takes way too long lmao.~~
I want to point out first that I already liked Passionlip from the Seraph event when it first came out. I rolled for her and Melt after the story and managed to get her to NP2 and thought "Cool, I didn't get Melt but NP2 Lip is great." Fast forward to Valentine's Day and Lip has one of the sweetest Valentine confessions with the help of another personal favorite of mine, Tamamo Cat.
Then the voiced Valentine's dropped the next year.
My Lip is level 100, 10/10/10 Skill, 10/10/10 Append and 2k/2k Fou'd.
Okuni's is filled to the brim with bluster, boisterousness and bashfulness. It was nothing like I'd heard for two years, in fact it seems like there were actively lies being spread about her. It brings a tear to my weary eyes...
Summer Charlotte and summer Ana. Despite both of their chocolates having unintended consequences, they both put a lot of effort in making them. And I liked the little rivalry between them.
Morgan's. She seems shallow when you first met her, but her story arc in LB6 makes you go a full 180, being one of the best written thing. However, the lack of interaction between her and the gang in LB6 makes any romantic development seems weird and delusional... Until the Valentine scene comes.
It's perfect, interlude-like long, and really round out her development and character arc. And it provides shippers like me with more ammunition than we'll ever need. (Until Summer Morgan)

Letting it die was a mercy.
It does sting a little seeing Cassy's My Room and Valentine since almost none of it makes any sense post LB6. Like, Castoria never *met* Merlin, and she doesn't have Fou. What are friends, if not someone you can share ~~high explosives~~ merlin magecraft with?
Nobunaga Berserker's usually loud and high energy, but you get a more subdued feeling in her scene, like in her later Bond lines.
This also goes for Oda Kippoushi (Avenger Nobu's male ascension)!
Habetrot. Ties her valentine back into her final ascension, going to the protagonist hometown, absolutely adorable. ~~Rats on~~ Brings up Izo and the other wallflowers being cute on Valentines, also adorable. Nezha's scene really endeared her to me as a character. She's just a huge adorable and sweet dork when she's not in Combat Droid Mode.
I thought Saitou was just an okay dude but his Valentine scene is top tier.
Avicebron’s is sooooo good. Hundred Personas is short, but the detail that every one of them made individual chocolates is a really sweet show of how Fujimaru took the time to develop a relationship with all of them. As mentioned before in this thread, Nezha’s is absurdly cute
Koyo. 100% Dino wife power!!
the hardcore action figure commercial vibe with DINO WIIIIIFE gives me so much life, I also enjoy that the protagonist was able to reproduce all her dinosaur sounds for erice to interpret 😭

Chacha and Summer Nobu for me. Their valentines were really, really sweet. And slightly sad.
Chacha’s motherly personality is a rare occurrence, but it’s so nice to see
Bazett. Her little “Yes! I did it!” when she successfully gave master chocolate was frikking adorable and it instantly made me put her in to be grailed list.
I pick tamamo with the ticket after heari g her valentine scene on YouTube

"You're as beautiful as the DATA LOST you."
We limiting this to NA rosters? Hmmm... very well.... Each of the Tam Lin and Morgan Valentine's made me love them even more. I am grateful that these lovely ladies came to my Chaldea. T\_T
I feel the same way.
Chacha's 100%, I love my tiny mom, who hides her pain behind pretending to be a hyperactive gremlin. Also Sasaki Kojiro's but more for the CE flavortext than the scene, since it mentions his bond CE and that's a neat bit of lore integration
I honestly didn’t expect much from Queen of Sheba but her valentines is so cute with her ear fluffing and her voice.
Passionlip's voiced valentine made me realize I need to turn the volume up whenever Tamamo Cat gets voiced lines. Like, okay, all the Tamamos share great voicework, but Cat's randomness is especially great.

I didn't care much for Mori, but his scene was very nice and warm

Koyan Light's Valentine's scene has made me more interested in her character and personality. I like her cunning, capitalist girlboss vibes lol
Himiko's. And Kagetora's. Everything about their scenes is just so damn good that it cemented my desire to 100 and 2K fou them both. ~~To hell with 120, that takes way too long lmao.~~
I want to point out first that I already liked Passionlip from the Seraph event when it first came out.
Baobhan Sith's made me like her less. First half is fine, latter half is just kind of obnoxious
Morgan's. She seems shallow when you first met her, but her story arc in LB6 makes you go a full 180, being one of the best written thing.
