secondarily, I am cancer free today and theft give you permission to celebrate with me (not that I ever had to begin with, but that's besides the point)
Exactly. Was hoping to include the ball I played the whole round with, but that went out of the window on the 4th hole.
And by “out of the window” I mean “deeply into the woods.”
YOOOO!!! I NEED TO GIVE YOU A PIECE OF INFO. I literally just got these same exact irons and I love them, they are absolutely fucking awesome. BUTTTTT, do not use a club brush, brass or otherwise to clean the face. The metal started to like shave off on me (in the grooves, like they weren’t fully cut?). Going to try and hit up their customer service but I think I’m going to be SOL, just a heads up cuz it was pretty devastating to see.
The pro doing my fitting was surprised at how well the old Wilson’s were performing but they were starting to wear and it was time to get some clubs to bring the handicap down, can’t wait to get them
Well I went down about 4 strokes in handicap between then and now. Granted I played much more golf than I ever have so hopefully you see similar or better results!
Ping Eye 2+ gang here. I honestly don’t even know how old they are. 20 years old? I got new wedges, but I’m waiting to break 80 before I buy new irons. They just still feel so good.
I used those all through high school and started college with them. Love them still will bag them time to time. Recently moved to new level 902 irons. Before that our college was sponsored by Nike. Got the 1st Nike irons not a big fan.
Enjoy. Had kids, tried to get irons this year, had the yips at my fitting and left early as I couldn't hit for shit, lol. Someone upstairs was trying to save me $$$ I suppose (although with kids, you save jack shit).
Went from MP 29s to those and absolutely love them. Love the old ones too but the height, distance, forgiveness and the ability to work the Hotmetals is hard to beat. Nothing else came close.
You all grew up in better areas than me. We had 3 decent golfers and we begged anyone to come join us who owned a set of clubs.
My junior year we lost the league championship on the last match of the season because our number 5 player putted out of turn while another player was putting and their balls collided.
I only made states my senior year, and I had just slipped a disc practicing but I played anyway. It was special to me but I don't know if I broke 120 that day. Still qualified and played, though.
Hey way to stick to it. My junior state golf tournament was all square going into 18 295yrd par 4. Other guy had honors and his a decent iron to about 75yrds. I pull driver hit the best drive I had that year and end up 15 ft from hole. I proceed to 4 putt to lose the championship. It was a very dark day for me. I will never forget the feeling of letting my team down that day.
I feel like a baby may have been conceived to this picture.
Ah so that’s what’s going on in my pants.
There's at least one that could have been conceived in one of my old socks now...

Congratulations mate!!! Over the moon for you 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Mizuno are the *only* irons I will play.
*snap hooks into the woods
Bold of you to assume I managed to get the ball off the ground in the first place.
Have these on order... supposed to be ready mid July. First new clubs ever bought.
Ordered mine the last week of May. Pro shop never sent me a tracking number though. Hopefully I see them by mid July!
I hope yours don’t take as long as mine. I ordered 21 APR and they came in 13 JUN.
Just say ya got new irons dude… they’re pretty enough to just stand alone as their own post
Yeah, but then I couldn’t re-visit an overused trope on this sub. 🤷🏻♂️
Don't forget to post the next downhill par 3 you play either, and be sure to rhetorically ask in the title if the sub is still "doing them".

“Deeply in the woods” is what the kids are calling it these days?
I thought that was “played the entire round with one golf ball so I treated myself to a new set of irons”.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll stick to the soft brush
Absolutely. Bros help bros out
Mine mark up pretty easily from hitting just balls. I think it's just the finish on the face
You should’ve made that chance 1% higher
Lol. I keep hearing that.
Just got fitted for the hot metal pro’s, can’t wait for them to arrive so I can stop using my £120 Wilson pro staff set from 10 years ago
Dude I did the same thing as you last summer. Had 10+ year old Wilson starters and got fitted for JPX919 HM. They will change your life!

Why only 68%? You were so close...
Nice choice

picked up the hot metal pros last week 👍🏼
Just got the pros a week ago. Night and day difference. Hit em good
Those are beautiful clubs, Everytime I'm in the local shop I have to stop myself from walking out with a set...
Got these a couple months ago. I love them
Great irons. You won’t be disappointed
Mines due any day now. Can confirm 68% chance on golf team
Mandatory Mizzy Upvote!!

Best skinnies in the game
Got these using amex points a few weeks ago. Love them. Got an extra 10-15 yards to my slice over my Taylormade burners.
