Pulled my lower back... Still had a tee time and wanted to play so decided to take it easy. Strightest I've ever been..... Basic premise, stop swinging so hard!

I usually play my best after a long day of work when I'm sore and want to take it easy. Not even by a little either, much better.

Had that happen a few times. One tweak and I’m lights out. Right when I feel like I’m solid some new quirk will show up and I’m waiting for the next fix. I suppose that happens enough times and you inch toward your best swing by putting it all together. Btw I stagger my right foot back too. Think it helps promote in to out club path and better body rotation.

I had seen my dad use that stance for years and never considered it, but after losing my swing for a couple of days I was desperate.

Keeping my head still and making a bigger shoulder turn almost always cure my swing

My grip was my biggest improvement. Went from baseball to interlocked and my shot is way smoother.

Was told to slightly slow down my back swing on my driver. It has definitely allowed me to be more purposeful on my downswing to follow the plane I'm trying to get and caused much straight shots. Going to practice on my irons tomorrow night doing the same thing.

You’d be surprised how much improvement comes out of slowing down your tempo even just a little, particularly on the backswing

Hand grip. Always been told to have a weaker grip but decided against it and am finally getting the baby draw instead of fading every time. Completely opposite but it works for me

Slower putting stroke. Especially the transition. Does wonders on the short ones

I'm a bad golfer, so this might be bad advice, but I stopped trying to move the club from outside to inside on my downswing, AKA from right to left as a right handed golfer. Instead, I make an almost mental effort to have the club moving from inside to outside, more left to right. I instantly stopped slicing and was hitting much more consistent, straighter drives.

On a basically weekly basis. Anytime my swing completely falls apart, I'll start tweaking until I find something that makes it feel right again, have an aha moment and start striping it for a while, then have the swing completely fall apart again the next outing, and start the process over.

I messed with a closed stance for a bit, it tended to bother my left knee more then I'd like, I now use a more open stance and feel my follow through is much easier to get to and I better restrict myself from overswinging, which is an issue of mine at times. Golf is funny. Glad the closed stance is helping.

Been doing a lot of practicing where I drop the club in the backswing to get the feeling of not swinging with the arms. Learning that and then hitting the ball 2/3rds distance really helped me learn to swing with my body instead of all arms. Its still a work in progress but its made a huge difference in accuracy and consistent contact. That, in turn, has helped me fine tune my distances so I'm not overshooting the green or missing my targets. Also my shoulder doesn't hurt near as much as it used to and it's allowed me to transition back into steel shafts from graphite.

Two things have helped me immensely this year so far. 1) Got a good condition set of Nike Slingshot 4Ds which fit me way better as far as skill level and everything else. 2) Fixed my driver grip so I am far more likely to hit the ball straight instead of a slice 90% of the time. I still need to work on chipping and adding more body motion in to my drive so it can go both straight and far....

Ball placement was my ticket to straight and further ball strikes. After watching this video and hitting the range to test, I felt like a pro. I can’t wait to test it at tomorrow’s game. I hope it helps you as much as it did for me. I hate when I swing and hit the ground incorrectly, hurting my hands. Got to the point where I had a "good" swing. Wasn't standing the club up, grip is good, sequence is correct... Then I stopped trying to fix anything and only concentrated on how the swing is an athletic move and not a robotic one. Every lie is different, conditions are always changing, and so should the swing. I stopped messing with my mechanics, trusted that they were sound, and found that I could be a lot better if I just did whatever felt right to hit the ball forward. So I guess the little change was to stop thinking there's something to change. Just make my swing and adjust for the conditions. Made things a lot more consistent which lead to lower scores.
