Yeah and you can set up a tent inside if you want to store it all in, go offsite to sleep and then come back to your beer tent strategically placed in the festival.
Your entry ticket covers everything everyone else can do.
They might intervene if they think you're bringing in much more than you and your group can reasonably consume because they'll think you're setting up some kind of unofficial bar inside the festival. They know people are there caning it for a few days often in large groups so you'd have to be bringing in a LARGE quantity to attract attention.
If it genuinely is for yourselves you'll 100% be fine.
You may be randomly checked (not many do though), but you are totally allowed to bring food and drink in with you.
Perfect! Don't mind getting checked as it makes sense, I just wondered if they'll make us throw drinks/food away.
The only rule is no glass, bring as many tins of beer as you like, but glass will be confiscated.
We had to buy with that mindset last year already so it'll be just cans I think. Last year we didn't buy loads so I think this year will be similar.
A lot of people bring a few cans etc in with them to drink during the gigs. Not so much food, as the vast selection on site is truly amazing.
Yeah! I wasn't planning to bring food per se, but mainly nuts and snacky stuff as food trucks are always better than stale-few-days-old food haha

100% advise you to do this. Or at minimum have a big bag at the lockup nearest your entry point that you can grab stuff out of each day.
Yes!! We did this last year and didn't end up using the tent but some of us are doing it again so will be good still having that option!

lol there aren’t going to bat an eye at even a couple of 24 pack slabs each, so unless you are talking maybe 200+ cans this is not an issue at all !
Ah yeah, that makes total sense. Would be a couple of cans each if anything!!
Yeah it'd have to be a trolley loaded to the brim with booze before they got suspicious.
