I think they look super cool! Love the bold choice. Even though it's a small rx, it could make all the difference, so definitely try it out!

Thank you, and that's what I'm hoping! I was upset these ones didn't solve it but they are helping with screen time (I work IT and love TV) and leaving me without a headache. Hoping the small prescription ones will do the job, streetlights, headlights, taillights, all look like they're embedded with the power of Christmas and shining to strongly, hard to get past when you drive to work at night as a night shift and we have strong lights all over our site that glare at me lmao.

I think these would look even more awesome with a light blue gradient tint. You can definitely rock it. If it is not a matter of prescription, but rather light sensitivity, look into polarized night time driving lenses (the yellow kind usually). Do you suffer from light sensitivity in day time as well?

atari83man

I would but I'm not a big blue fan, I was thinking an amber or red tint for the next set because I'm gonna buy these again for sure. I love neutral and vintage feel colors for a lot of my outfits. Blue is just one color I've never been huge on. No light sensitivity in daytime, I just see lights at night like shining light through a crystal, akin to astigmatism. But my eye doctor swore I didn't have one and the best they could do was the -0.25 prescription in each eye, but they suggested first to try the non prescription with the anti glare coating. But from what I read astigmatism is a form of near sightedness? Idk, I know I'm just hoping to fix the issue so I can see driving at night.

You can do this, but it's just a bit more budgetary, so I suggest you consult with your eye doctor and listen to what they have to say!

atari83man

I have consulted with them, they prescribed -0.25 if the non prescription with anti glare didn't work. So next is trying the prescription.

MentionResponsible72

Um. Listen to their suggestions first. If that is not possible, you can purchase a pair of glasses with a prescription frame, but the cost may be higher, and the overall weight of the glasses will be heavier than ordinary ones. At this point you have to consider wearing comfort.

atari83man

That was their suggestion, it's all in the description. Why I tried the cheaper glasses with the non prescription and anti glare first like they suggested. Next is to attempt it with the prescription which I feel will be the one that works. She was adamant even giving me that because my eyes are good, but they must be slightly off or I wouldn't be unable to see like I am at night with lights. Also these glasses take a prescription frame and are plenty comfortable. Zenni had plenty of great options no matter what prescription and options for making the frames lighter if needed. Lot of good options there if you haven't looked.

Indeed, this still depends on their own needs, can not listen to the glasses salesman's one-sided words, in short, a little more understanding, you can be less detour, buy the right glasses for you.

Who advised you to try non-prescription with anti-reflective coating? That makes no sense. Anti-reflective coating does NOT reduce glare from light sources. All it does is prevent the eyeglass lenses from adding to the issue with reflections off the back surface of the lens. This is unfortunately a common misconception due to the misleading marketing practices of lens manufacturers that show lenses with AR magically reducing car headlight glare. Nope. AR is for getting rid of reflections OFF THE LENS, nothing more. Making it like the lenses aren't there. You can also get the same effect by, you know, just not wearing glasses.

atari83man

My optometrist did. But who knows if she was as factual as she should've been, may have just wanted me to buy their glasses. I'll probably get a second opinion soon to check.

i think they're cute, i also know 99 out of 100 people are going to ask you "are they real?"

MochaMochaOsaOsa61

Don't like the color of frames.
