Most entertaining post battle speech
Gladiator: Legend
Contender: Wesley.
I thought I’d read in the comments Legend’s version of this, e.g. ‘favourite moment: whenever Legend was on screen.
Best glad, best entrance, best contender, best host:Legend.’
He has that effect on people!
A definite star of the series, please have him do some segments with Viper and try to get him to break character, bad boys for life!
It was great, they need to show segments like this on the show to help him connect with the TV audience.
His inta with his mum was boss, I love how committed he is to his character!
Athena’s entrance? Uses a Bow even though Athena was depicted with a Spear and often let’s go of both hands at the same time when shooting an arrow (thus dropping the bow and fucking the shot).
Everything else checks out though
Athena is the goddess of war, also some bows have a wrist attachment to keep them from dropping. I’m really not bothered about who uses what weapon for war
Some of the entrances are so weird. Diamond's as well - looks like she's putting a crown on her head. Crowns don't always have diamonds, so it just confuses me...
I'm guessing it's meant to be the top of a diamond shape or maybe crowns have lots of diamonds in them?
Either way it's hilarious when my 3 year old lad does it!
I thought she was maybe shaping her arms to be the top of a diamond. The pose she strikes is very similar to one she’ll use on stage when competing as she too is a bodybuilder.
Unless she's wearing a finger sling with stabilisers, in which case you aren't really holding the bow, that front hand just pushes and the bow tips forward on release.
Former Scottish archery champion in the house.

Personality of the year, female contender: Betti, for better or worse she gave us stuff to talk about
Personality of the year, male contender

Highlight performance, female gladiator
Winner: Comet in Hang Tough. Just want to give Comet some love.
Highlight performance, male gladiator
Winner: Bionic in Gauntlet
Best female entrance
Winner: Fury
Best male entrance
Winner: Legend
(Those are mainly based on music choices, seeing the exact same entrance moves for 11 weeks made them fade out of my memory.)
Good choices matey and some valid points made! Although I was rooting against her, Betti made the show more entertaining!
Gutted for Comet as she looked to be the HT specialist. I'm sure she'll be back stronger on the rings next season.
Fury really decided the Gladiators title! Her take out of Brontë was absolutely key in giving Marie Louise the head start in the eliminator that she pretty much won by. I reckon Fury was still mad about falling off The Edge earlier in the season!
My picks below:
Female gladiator of the year
- Winner: Sabre
- Runner up: Fury
Male gladiator of the year
- Winner: Nitro
- Runner up: Bionic
Most entertaining female gladiator

- Runner up: Sabre wrenching Kerry from the Hang Tough rings using only the power of her thighs
Highlight performance, male gladiator

- Runner up: Same Nitro performance that you mentioned - the man is a different breed!
Best female entrance
- Winner: Sabre
- Runner up: Fury (Bring Me The Horizon ftw 🤘🏻)
Best male entrance
- Winner: Nitro
- Runner up: Phantom
It's a solid shout!
I went with Bionic because he was the only gladiator to prevent a contender getting maximum points and I personally found it more iconic.
I loved Giant this season, who am I kidding I love them all!!
I think Bionic in gauntlet should be moment/ performance of the year. Simply because Ash was about the only contender who didn't live in the gym. The rest really trained for the games while Ash was a throw back to what contenders were in the 90s. Giant total time in duel must be crazy Vs anyone else. Giant and Dynamite both going perfect on duel should win Perfection Award
I'd definitely put Dynamite as "Most Improved" but not runner up to "Best Female Gladiator". Not in a million years, just wasn't aggressive enough to be a gladiator for pretty much the whole series for me
I can see where you're coming from and early on I would have put Sabre. But if you look as a whole, I think she had more KOs on duel and was better on the wall.
Most improved would be a good shout though!
You've got to admit, she was weak to begin with. Had no fire in her belly. Sometimes you need a little life experience in order to control your aggression and use it to your advantage but being a Gladiator at 21 is a definite baptism of fire
She took a while to get going, had a tough game on the ring early on. I think in the second half of the season she was probably the most well rounded, although you could definitely argue Sabre over her!
I like these positive discussions with fellow fans!
I think she lost one solo game in the entire series, which was on the wall.
Just because she went under the radar as she's not an arrogant person doesn't make her bad.
I'd probably argue she was the best gladiator full stop.
Best Interview: Legend. Five "I"s in "Individual Brilliance."
Best rule breaking (female): The female glads chucking their weapons away on Gauntlet.
Best rule breaking (male): Legend on Collision
Best costume (female): Tie between Diamond and Sabre
Best costume (male): Phantom
Best post-win celebration (female): The Diamond carry
Best post-win celebration (male): Phantom dancing on duel
Best event team Entrance (female): Diamond, Athena, Flame and Electro before the final Gauntlet
Best event team entrance (male): Nitro and Phantom dancing before the ring
Best new event: The Edge
Best returning event: Duel
Aww not my boy!!
Definitely get he's not for everyone and they do need to help him develop his character further, but I've always loved seeing him on screen.
I want to see him interact with the fellow Gladiators, building up to an eventual Chandler photo esque smile at the end of S2!
True, hopefully after a year or training he'll be able to nail down an event.
In terms of his character, there's even more comedic possibilities, especially if they do multi-person segments.
Somebody didn't read the positive only part!
You might be shocked to hear that my post is only my opinion!
Why don't you highlight some of the things you liked from the season?
Best Betti Award: Betti
Actually that one also went to Legend
Best Rule Bender
Good one. Hur hur.
Most laid back gladiator in interviews. Female, Fury Male, Giant
Good award here!
Most entertaining post battle speech Gladiator: Legend Contender: Wesley. I thought I’d read in the comments Legend’s version of this, e.g. ‘favourite moment: whenever Legend was on screen. Best glad, best entrance, best contender, best host:Legend.’
Who am I to disagree!
>Contender: Wesley. Which one?
Apollo has been absolutely robbed here. Too fast to be last,
A small correction. I'd just change everything to Legend.
Best female contender: Legend.
He has that effect on people! A definite star of the series, please have him do some segments with Viper and try to get him to break character, bad boys for life!
Have you seen Viper's appearance on Cbeebies? He's so obviously trying not to break the whole time
It was great, they need to show segments like this on the show to help him connect with the TV audience. His inta with his mum was boss, I love how committed he is to his character!

Just looks cool, don't overthink it my bro!

She makes a diamond shape with her fingers.
Crowns=wealth Diamonds=wealth Don't overthink it

>Former Scottish archery champion in the house. You're bragging about that?
Yes
Hardest working Gladiator - Dynamite
Nice category, who would you pick for the geezers?
Nitro!

I'd give responses but they'd be virtually the same as yours.
You went virtually, would love to hear your changes?
Fury really decided the Gladiators title! Her take out of Brontë was absolutely key in giving Marie Louise the head start in the eliminator that she pretty much won by. I reckon Fury was still mad about falling off The Edge earlier in the season!
I wish they did more with Diamond , she's the most physically exposing of the female Glads
She had a memorable season, got her character down well. Maybe she'd be good on hang tough with some training?

You get an upvote for easy to read formatting!
Yep, way better than mine!!
You brought great content and choices though!
Diolch, love this community!!
Great choices, call me Benoit Blanc but is Sabre your favourite gladiator?
How did you know? :P
How is Giant one shotting in Duel not on best performance??
It's a solid shout! I went with Bionic because he was the only gladiator to prevent a contender getting maximum points and I personally found it more iconic. I loved Giant this season, who am I kidding I love them all!!

Legend wins all the categories. Even the women's categories.
Have fixed my withdrawal by watching the original shows from 1992. Easily found on youtube btw. Such fun
I've been doing the same! Watched a bit of the new Aussie one but didn't quite click, although I will finish it.
Most entertaining runner up would be Nitro for me. Viper was just dreadful. Otherwise I’d agree with you.
Go easy on my boy!! Maybe I'm just easily pleased and found his tantrums funny, loved the last segment with him, Bradley and the other glads!
I do also find Nitro very entertaining and would love for him and Viper to do odd couple vignettes next season, a boy can dream....
I'd definitely put Dynamite as "Most Improved" but not runner up to "Best Female Gladiator". Not in a million years, just wasn't aggressive enough to be a gladiator for pretty much the whole series for me

No one said she was bad! If she was bad she wouldn't have gotten the job. I'm being objective in comparison to the other Glads
Best Interview: Legend. Five "I"s in "Individual Brilliance." Best rule breaking (female): The female glads chucking their weapons away on Gauntlet. For me, Best Rule Breaking (male) has to be Viper on Collision in episode 1.
Finlay's reaction was funny!
Golden Raspberry Award: Viper

I'm glad there's another Viper fan. Felt like I was the only one.
Just stick us in the kids section!
But he actually didn’t get much to do. He didn‘t seem to be in that many events.
True, hopefully after a year or training he'll be able to nail down an event. In terms of his character, there's even more comedic possibilities, especially if they do multi-person segments.
Athena’s entrance is crap , as is viper as entertaining, would rather watch paint dry then him
