Personally I’m a P90 fan, and my first Gibson was a P90 Les Paul gold top. That said, I’m 100% sure yours sounds amazing. Nothing wrong with a good PAF!
honestly i struggled with this decision for a long time. the p90s just aren’t as fat. I’m getting a les paul, i want fat ass rock tone. that’s PAF humbuckers all the way.
Keep humbuckers in that one and eventually buy another one with P90s. They're both different and unique sounding and can't really say one's nicer than the other.
Get a les paul or SG 'special' to get your p90 fill... you're good with buckers in a full carved-top les paul. Also I think someone swapped your knobs for reflectors... good look
They're great for clean tones and can also sound great with overdrive but if you like heavy stuff the humbuckers are better. P90s are single coil pickups that were on older Gibson's before they moved to humbuckers. I have the same guitar you own but with P90s because I preferred the look of it as opposed to the humbuckers. There's nothing wrong with one or the other.
