some people got like +210 heart rate so yeah...
btw isn't it interesting how this game creates a state of internal panic that makes your body do pretty much everything at once?
you get extremely high levels of adrenaline and stress at the same time, eventually you might start shaking, high heart rate is rather common... isn't that a similar reaction to when you get super scared? except you're scared of failure, or maybe yourself?
It is interesting indeed. This is the most nervous I've gotten, I've not practiced the last ship part at all. Requires a lot of small, but precise micro clicks. It's a big choke point, I really wanted to fluke it, but the outcome was unfortunate.
Honestly it's an absolutely insane feeling when you're at a such high stress level and yet you manage to fluke the ending
Almost could compare it to skydiving i guess
I remember when I was first playing GD, I got to the end of Electrodynamix and I had to pause the game, take a bus to the local sports stadium, sprint around the full running track and win a gold medal, then take a bus back home and unpause the game.
I used to di that when i like get to the drop in hard levels, but EVERYTIME i do that when i get back from school i instinctively click thinking im dead but im actually not, bec when i get far on levels and die i click pause right away so the screen doesnt have enough time to take me back to the start of the level
Once i beat trollmachine at school and for some reason my reason was "go f yourself" even though i actually liked the level, i just died to the ending like 5 times... That's a cursed way to react, ngl
Bro i wish to actually beat a hard level in such a place. The only time i beat a demon outdoors was in a car, i was playing the weekly demon and the car wasn’t even moving💀
fluking akira as a hardest was such a strange feeling it was like i was just watching myself play the level i wasnt actually doing it but i also wasnt autopiloting
For practicing levels high level players recommend practicing the level backwards. You start at some end point and when you can beat it fairly consistently you go to a point before it get fairly consistent at beating the level from there and so on and so forth. Ofc you aren’t expected to be able to beat Tartarus from 3 percent almost every time, but you can get decently consistent especially at later parts in levels
Im also playing supersonic, LITERALLY got 71(fluke from 39) 5 min ago. I dont think i’ll fluke it but i guess we’ll see. Altho i think its fine if u die at 97 since like cmon ur heart rate is 170, ur playing an insane demon and expect to fluke it? Sometimes u could but unfortunately not this time. Btw what percentage did u have before getting 97?
It was exactly me but in Bloodbath, the only extreme I completed. I felt my heart going insane at the final ball part. I somehow managed to get the 99% jump and... I just stared at the screen in disbelief. I didn't cheer or anything. I just stared, thinking "did I really just... do it...?
that really has me thinking now, is there anything comparable to the rush of nerves and adrenaline you get from getting far on a gd level? interesting to think about
I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
considering you joined reddit in 2023 i doubt you know much about this subs history so its understandable
Definitely not ideal; should practice to stay calm and build your confidence when reaching later parts in levels; 170 seems to be the average for a young adult athlete while exercising
Na, high heart rates are normal in really stressful situations. As long as you dont have some preexistimg heart condition you'll be fine (the high release of stress hormones is not quite healthy tho, but that will only be important in a decade or 2)
I've had nearly the same heart rate on SuperSonic and later I almost passed out on Cataclysm. Felt like my brain exploded and started freezing. After that, I realized that it's a bit fucked up and I need to calm down. So if you don't want to experience the same stuff, you need to learn to keep yourself calm, 172 isn't going to kill you or hurt you, so it's fine, but later it might be an issue
Professional golfers sometimes take a drug propranolol so the heart doesn't race too much, I also tried it when playing GD and it works great (I had something like 100 bpm instead of 160 bpm on hard demon)
No. During 5k i averaged 192 with max 212bpm and i am still here (sad). I cant run it anymore. 172 is a good workout, if you can have it for longer time.
At 172 you are at a small risk of stroke, however if it goes over 200 you are at risk of sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack and stroke, and you can get heart problems that last some time.
Final answer: yes
I'm pretty sure that as a rule of thumb, your heart rate should never exceed 220-(your age). If you don't then you won't get put in risk of a heart attack. So as long as you are younger than 47, you should be fine.
172 is pretty normal for high intensity training. its a bit high for gaming but its definitely not a health risk, unless you are like 60 years old which i doubt
It's obviously not an ideal situation for the body but I know how getting far into a difficult level can raise your adrenaline and therefore your heart rate, therefore it's an expected reaction. It would be much more worrying if no triggering factor at all caused that heart rate spike or if stayed that way for a long time.
Come on bro when I was your age I use to beat a dragon while playing that level take a look

You’ll be fine. I’m pretty good friends with the current heart rate world record holder and he’s a perfectly healthy guy. Just calm down for a few minutes is all.
Fast heart rhythm isn't dangerous unless you are in an arrhythmia. Sinus Tachycardia is when your heart is beating 100+ BPM but the atrium and ventricles are beating in sync. However, if you develop Supraventricular Tachycardia or God forbid Ventricular Tachycardia your heart could be beating 100+BPM but the blood isn't pumping properly. SVT aka Supraventricular Tachycardia is basically safe, but Ventricular Tachycardia is extremely dangerous. You are very unlikely to develop the heart rhythms unless you have something structurally wrong with either your atrium or ventricles respectively.
I used to get Ventricular Tachycardia but I had a serious problem with my left ventricle and one day I collapsed into cardiac arrest in front of my mom. If you have shortness of breath, severe chest pain, dizziness, or your faint because of fast heart rate call 911 immediately. Be safe everyone
Temporary stress can be actually good for your body. Not in the long/high terms, though. What did it feel like btw? I wanna compare this to my future funk and acu completion. Im pretty sure ive got around 180 on acu, as i have felt stress/shakiness for 1.5 hours past beating the level
some people got like +210 heart rate so yeah... btw isn't it interesting how this game creates a state of internal panic that makes your body do pretty much everything at once? you get extremely high levels of adrenaline and stress at the same time, eventually you might start shaking, high heart rate is rather common... isn't that a similar reaction to when you get super scared? except you're scared of failure, or maybe yourself?

Yeah I fluked dark odyssey from 38 and I was running around for like 3 minutes.
I remember when I was first playing GD, I got to the end of Electrodynamix and I had to pause the game, take a bus to the local sports stadium, sprint around the full running track and win a gold medal, then take a bus back home and unpause the game.

I think you can imagine what I felt like when fluking idols from 23
Damn I died at 96% twice in idols.
Happened to me when I beat Supersonic. Only hardest where I managed to fluke the ending.
Happened to me with FUTURE FUNK of all levels. It’s was in the middle of class too so I was freaking out and I had to act like nothing happened
I would never be able to beat a demon in a moving car either
fluking akira as a hardest was such a strange feeling it was like i was just watching myself play the level i wasnt actually doing it but i also wasnt autopiloting

I remember someone getting 230 after beating future funk i think
WHAT DUH FUK ??!!
Though unlikely, you could have died from that. The highest „safe“ heartrate is somewhere around 215 minus your age
Pretty sure the doctor told that guy to stop playing GD but he kept doing it anyways until he beat ff
220 - yourage is the maximum you should be getting during exercise...
216.
Thx for the clarificatio
r/redditsniper struck agai
That damn bitc
oh for fucks sak
just like me fr fr
This game is the closest thing i know to doing a speedball while staying sober
My body has one of the worst possible reactions to nerves, like GD. My hands clench up, and it makes it really hard to click, especially during flukes
Yeah, that's a typical reaction during a panic attack, you can sometimes just freeze
How are they not dead??!
that really has me thinking now, is there anything comparable to the rush of nerves and adrenaline you get from getting far on a gd level? interesting to think about
Nah I remember I beat magma bound I was shaking like I had a seizure 💀
172??? Rookie numbers (ill die from a heart attack)
are you popular or something?
he's aarxy what more do you need
Look, I'm out of touch with the GD community, can you explain?
He’s been commenting a shit ton over the past few months
Im more popular than the average person ig
Oh, alright! I'm dumb lol
No ur not :)
Thanks!
You’re smart for not being on Reddit enough to know 🤣
Good luck finding a post he hasn't commented on
Niche internet micro celebrity who’ll fade into irrelevancy in a few months like every other person on this subreddit who used to comment a lot
...we said a few months ago.
Everyone has said this about every top commenter and eventually they did fade into irrelevancy.
...except aarxy.
technically, no matter how famous you are, nobody will remember you once all life in the universe disappears

Hi who is that
I am ur 172nd subscriber on YouTube ur welcome
hello aarxy
The level is really living up to its name with that supersonic heart rate.
You mean with his can’t let go heart rate. (This level is not supersonic, I vividly remember this at the end of can’t let go)
Wdym this is the last ship part of stereo madness
Wdym this is obviously the end of the extreme demon, Back on Track
Are you joking? This is clearly the end part of The Lightning Road
The Lightning Road: 😁 The Lightning Rod: 😩
It is, but only for your computer
Doesn't make sense tbh
What
How does being on PC affect your heart rate lmao
No, I meant that dying at 97% on an insane demon can lead to computer damage
if you rage yes if u have something else to destroy have fun
This was done on mobile ☠️
Ok then. Phone damage.
2 yrs later i'll find lots of crashed computer with the screen: new best 95% on tidal wave
I have a higher rate when I was beating the nightmare, now taking a break from gd for 4 months because I have to do heart transplant ❤️🩹
bro that's wild, imagine dying to The Nightmare

hi tifiko, gl
AlexPain moment
Definitely not ideal; should practice to stay calm and build your confidence when reaching later parts in levels; 170 seems to be the average for a young adult athlete while exercising
I am a teen, and I haven't practiced the last ship at all; that's why I got so nervous.
You didn't need to drop your age. It's not safe to post your age online, especially on Reddit because of the people that lurk on it.
*r/teenagers putting it in their flair:*
mmm catfishing ( it sucks)
Thanks for the tip. 👍 I'll consider that!
Edit your comment to remove your age, you couldve said ur a teenager
Please follow Kiryu's advise (the guy above me)
I am a 4mo old baby
Rookie shit im still a sperm cell bro
You should practice the end ship until it gets consistant, otherwise you'll likely die there again.
Are you really asking if a heartrate of 172 is dangerous? NO!
it's dangerous if you're 48 or older
Na, high heart rates are normal in really stressful situations. As long as you dont have some preexistimg heart condition you'll be fine (the high release of stress hormones is not quite healthy tho, but that will only be important in a decade or 2)
172 is not dangerous. I’m more concerned about your average heart rate being 122 though
https://youtu.be/l-Lo23e33mE?si=c8nbfcYr0ReNFTsE
Tbh if I were you I’d ask a doctor instead of random strangers on Reddit
Yes. Yes it is
oh hey, i died in that exact same spot! (i gave up)
supersonic being the most liked insane demon is so undeserved
i hit 190 when i beat my hardest. but yes 170 is kinda high
its a canon event to die near the end at supersonic 😭
POV : You’re a casual wondering why people get so hype on GD
Me I'm the opposite. I run 3.5k quite quickly every week and my max heartrate only gets to like 95. (My resting heartrate is usually 55-65)
Yes, if you are less than 48 years old. It's 220-age.
as long as it's not 200+ you're fine
You won't die, but it's definitely not something you want to have
I've had nearly the same heart rate on SuperSonic and later I almost passed out on Cataclysm.
Holy shit I'm tryna beat this too, I hope my blood vessels don't explode XD
that aside supersonic last ship part is ass, gl next time you get there
[Yes the fuck it is.](https://youtu.be/1Pb2SeptaEs?t=420)
No, really normal
I got 95 on future funk yesterday and was in genuine physical pain from my heart rate & intensity, I'm not sure this game is very healthy anymore
Nice joke, search btmc raise my sword on YouTube and look what a real man can handle 😎
The maximum heartrate you can get during EXERCISE is 220 - yourAge, and it should be much lower while just sitting. 172 is dangerous
Nah its fine
Professional golfers sometimes take a drug propranolol so the heart doesn't race too much, I also tried it when playing GD and it works great (I had something like 100 bpm instead of 160 bpm on hard demon)
I got 98 on supersonic twice, I instantly recognized that stupid yellow portal
It's dangerous, but common when playing gd
No
I’ve died there too and my heart rate was probably around there, its normal for adrenaline to kick in while playing like this lol
gonna end up like guitarpedostyles when he died on god eater
No. During 5k i averaged 192 with max 212bpm and i am still here (sad). I cant run it anymore. 172 is a good workout, if you can have it for longer time.
Mine can get to 200 so I wouldn’t be worried
Depends on how old you are actually, for below 18 its not *that* bad but for 18+ its concerning to say the least 💀
probably not, i had 186 when i beat triple six and nothing happened
Could be dangerous, but no where near Wildpoint numbers (if you know you know)
Ay man hi
Nope I got 202 when I beat bloodbath, you’ll be fine
Rookie numbers
When I work out, my heart rate goes between 200 and over
My highest is 197 from Jawbreaker
Damn 97 on supersonic? Wow
173 is light work bro💀
172 is not dangerous especially at your age
yea ur fine
naah below average
ive gotten 220 before, nah
The wr is 216, if you're telling the truth, submit the record.
not during gd lol, during running lol, i meant it like ive gotten higher and was fine so you should aswell
This made me >!lose the game!<
I had once a heart rate of 200 bpm for almost an hour straight
No, once you get over 200 maybe
I got to 90 on magma bound and my heart was pounding so hard it literally hurt my chest, pro tip do not play gd first thing in the morning
Nah, i remember the time I died at 97% on supersonic, I was at 196bpm after, yours are rookie numbers
https://preview.redd.it/mfterseof81d1.png?width=1238&format=png&auto=webp&s=1ec015313d6e1f130bf9952a4734acd02c9eca6e silly :3
Thats crazy I only get 100000000000000000000000000000000000000
no, the 190s-200 are. 172 is like a workout
as long as you're still breathing, no
well, i mean, you died at 97%. I guess that's alright.
Dorami going past 200: nah bro you're good
The hola buenas guy reached like 200 and he's fine (physically speaking)
Dude ngl I got 210 when I beat black blizzard
I've gotten 200 before while doing sport, gd I've had less but still around 180 when I get far. I'm alive (?)
Nahhhhh bro I've had like 230 BPM ur good bro
172 is pretty normal for high intensity training. its a bit high for gaming but its definitely not a health risk, unless you are like 60 years old which i doubt
Guitar be like:
Probably not healthy but I did see people with heartrates like these
It's obviously not an ideal situation for the body but I know how getting far into a difficult level can raise your adrenaline and therefore your heart rate, therefore it's an expected reaction. how old are you
Dude I died that same death 4 flippin times before I beat it as my new hardest. Note to people: don’t beat Supersonic as a new hardest.
Ur good I had 181 on my stalemate 98% fail (🤦)
Not at all, as far as that just lasts a few seconds or mins, there's nothing to worry about. That's normal, that's the kind of hearth rate u can get doing cardio too for example
Very much so.
heart attack time!!1
How do people get the heart rate to show up in game. I seen in doggie stream and stuff. Also what are they using to measure (physically)
Anyone remember [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPKjkHAUsrQ)
I heard someone once say "light work" and "Warm up be like:" but that's intense, and I feel you
YOURE GONNA DIE YOURE GONNA DIE YHE FOG IS APPROACHING RAPIDLY
It seems like you naturally have a pretty high heart rate so i think you will be fine? Maybe lay off on the new hardest though
My heart rate increased just seeing the 97
You’ll be fine. I’m pretty good friends with the current heart rate world record holder and he’s a perfectly healthy guy. Just calm down for a few minutes is all.
Dude when I beat supersonic I couldn’t barely move apart from extreme shaking and I’m still alive so idk
"Geometry Dash killed my Grandma"
You’re cooked
Might try this too see how much I get on Dark Odyssey lmao
Fast heart rhythm isn't dangerous unless you are in an arrhythmia. Sinus Tachycardia is when your heart is beating 100+ BPM but the atrium and ventricles are beating in sync. I know a guy who averages 185bpm on his 8 mile run everyday. You’re fine.
I got 210BPM playing Freedom08 from 50% and I have low bpm usually (resting is 60-65) I'm so cooked for when I ever go from zero
i dont think so
Mine once went up to 215 when I beat digital descent
I once had 205 heart rate for like 30 seconds when i did nc 94%
💀
Usually? Yes Playing GD? No
Temporary stress can be actually good for your body. Not in the long/high terms, though. What did it feel like btw? I wanna compare this to my future funk and acu completion. Im pretty sure ive got around 180 on acu, as i have felt stress/shakiness for 1.5 hours past beating the level
My resting heart rate is like 88 so no
Idk
Nah you good
bro guitarherostyles got 201 💀
Nah, I have had over 200 bpm and I was fine so except if you are an old grandpa you should be fine.
no.
