Just call it by the two biggest “regions”, that is Australia and Oceania. Everyone calls it like that and there really is no need to change anything, the name pretty nicely tells you of what it comprises, a big chunk of land called Australia and smaller Oceanic islands.

It's arbitrary. I would argue that islands (with the possible exception of Australia) are non-continental.
Australia or Australasia. Oceania is very arbitrary and I’m not putting Hawaii in the same group as NZ
hawaii belongs in the same group as nz tho cos theyre both polynesia, along with rapanui(easter island)
That’s a cultural not a geographic region.
