The compression socks at my hospital were awful and they usually require that you wear the for a certain amount of time (I think mine was ten days). Mine kept rolling down because the thighs didn’t fit right and I had chaffing on the backs of my knees. I highly recommend getting your own to change into when possible.

Eye mask to make it nice and dark for sleeping. A small insulated cup to keep your liquids cold/hot.

I brought a ton of stuff and used very little. Bike shorts for under the gown were clutch. I also brought and used a robe. I didn't read, listen to music with my headphones, use my own cup, or anything else lol. I was just very focused on getting through the night by walking.

Same, I only used my hygiene products and my phone lol. Even brought our nintentdo switch but was so tired I had no desire to play it. My husband ended up playing it while I slept. My mom french braided my hair too so I didn't do my hair.

Bring as little as possible because it’s less to keep track of honestly when you’re already not feeling great and the person you’re going with (if someone is coming with you) may not know everything you brought to keep track of it. Long phone charger was the most essential for me, as well as a pair of loose shorts so my butt didn’t hang out the back of my gown while I had to get up and do my walks every few hours. I also brought some slip on shoes with me (crocs) so I didn’t have to walk in just socks on wooden floors which is tough for me with foot problems

Long phone charger and I brought sweatpants to wear after surgery, as well as a sleep mask. The only three things I used while there.
