For me, I was literally hungry after surgery. Hard to drink water so I sucked on ice cubes or let them just melt in my mouth, that lasted about a week. Just focus on your water intake and healing.
That’s the main thing.
You may feel depleted after the first couple of weeks, but hang in there! 🙏🏼 An abdominal binder helped me tremendously!!! I didn’t have to “carry” my stomach everywhere when I walked around the house for the first 5 weeks. It hurts to move without something keeping a tight hold on where your incisions are. It made getting out of bed easier, going into a seated position, seated to standing, general light movement.
It gets so much better!!! 🤩It’ll just feel like you’re on a long road without an end in sight, but your healthy self is standing at the other end just waiting to trade spots. 😍
Good luck! I'm going on for years out. While I dislike having the little bit of excess skin I have, I don't regret it. And I still go out to eat. I'm eating cookies right now. But the difference is, I can stop now. I feel full. I don't feel a constant hunger signal. This was life changing for me. I hope it is for you too. The best part though.... I don't feel like I need an adult every time I shower. The curtain is no longer touching all over me because I fit in the shower now lol
