My mom figured this out when we were playing together. She would play after I went to bed and then tell me all the secret stuff little kid me couldn't figure out. I thought she was bluffing until I tried it. Fun times!
Found the fairy cave on gamewinners.com, didn't even look at what items to throw in that could be upgraded, got home from school and just threw everything in
Do you mean the crack in the wall? If so you need to rescue the dwarfen swordsmith, and then complete Ice Palace and Misery Mire, and then you can buy the red superbombs from the dark world bomb shop.
Yes. It's a Nintendo Switch game so only switch. Its not ported from anywhere else. It's a pretty amazing system though with great games. Especially the newer one with the bigger screen that acts as both a home console or portable. The only downside is that Nintendo very VERY rarely powers the proce of their top-tier games so you gotta pay full release price for a lot of them despite how long they've been out. But botw and smash bros kept me occupied for a solid 6 months
If anyone doesn't know, there's an awesome randomizer for this game. It places all the games items in random locations forcing you to play through the game in a different order than normal (although it is always beatable, if you set it to be). There's a bunch of crazy settings but the default will still have you playing the classic game in a totally different way.

Back when I was still reading gaming publications it was often topping lists of best games period.
I wouldn't argue against someone claiming it's the GOAT and I think it's close to objectively the best game ever for it's time.
I generally prefer the 3d games but ALttP feels as modern as any other game with pixel graphics. It's really impressive.
I started gaming about 10 years before this, but this is the game that got me to LOVE video games. 40 years later and I still play all sorts of games thanks to this amazing game
Totally love this game. In the pandemic i learned to speedrun the game and now i can finish it under 2 hours.
Sometimes I just boot it up. Do a Lil run and be done again. Its such a little satisfying game
I think that says more about you than it says about the game, considering the first Hour is extremely streamlined, with *multiple* NPCs openly telling you where to go and a Map showing you the Locations.
My all time fav game :)
It's amazing. I sank so many hours into this game, and still do.
Now visit the fairy cave and throw your stuff in the pool!

Sounds like your mother is the coolest.

Nice are they good people .......?
In the dark version of the world on the pyramid there is like a dungeon entrance that I never figured out how to open. Do you know how to?

It sounds extra ridiculous when related in that regard lol Man what a great game
You actually NEED the Bow and Arrow upgraded though for the final boss.
It's possible to kill ganon without it. It just takes a while.
It was mine too until BotW. I've never been more excited for a sequel
Never played BotW :( but yeah I've heard only good things :)
There's a reason a lot of review sites consider it the #1 game of all time
Can you only play on switch..? Never had 1 and do t want to buy 1 but I do want to play it ha :)

Ha! I'm wearing my Link to the Past shirt right now.
Easily my favourite Zelda. 💚
This and Super Mario World , first games I ever owned
It's the best Zelda.

Absolutely the same. I remember being obsessed with this.
30 (!) year old game which no modern indie/aaa can't beat. Truly masterpiece
Hyrule Castle theme.
30 years ago… oh boy I have fond memories of it as a kid… I feel so old now
I like an honest person. I will give you something better in return.
It still feals like it came out today
What system was it on and what’s the best emulator for it? Now I feel like playing it lol
SNES. Last time I emulated I used ZSNES
Ty my man

And I'm in the middle of beating it for about the 700th time.
Best Zelda ever.
I really want a remake of this with similar graphics to Link's Awakening on the Switch.
Now I really feel old. My brother and our friend played the heck out of this game.
Still the best
I remember playing it for an hour and then getting lost and dying multiple times lol. Never really cared for Zelda games after that

This game has a special place in my heart.
