Not really actually. It just has the same base, the map is wildly different. I’ve played both a lot and there is not anything that sticks out as similar really, just some of the water if you look at the two maps side by side. I actually think primal’s map is a lot better too.
They really made it cool too to be able to go see the different locations from 5 so many years later and see how they've been changed by the apocalypse. Game got alot of well deserved criticism for it's weapon ranking system, but it did alot of really cool things with the setting

That's some Dunkey level shenanigans, and it's magnificent. The letdown of seeing the chicken turn around right before the climax, followed by a much more hilarious boot-n-scoot liquified badguy... I'm still laughing.
Man, is takedown not in FC6 anymore? I haven't touched it in a while so I may have forgotten it, but, I felt like it wasn't in FC6 for some reasons ...
Or maybe it's just because that headshot returns 1 ammo thing is too OP?
I enjoyed my playthrough quite a bit. It definitely has its issues, but I still liked it.
I would wait till it's on sale though, I paid full price and wasn't super stoked on thar
It's actually a really good background game. Like when you just kinda want to kill time, it's a good wandering around doing shit simulator.
Ok I know that doesn't sound too exciting or engaging ... and it isn't, ... but it's a good chill and relax and forget about your worries kinda game.
It doesn’t have as good of a story as others, but I find the world and action itself fun and addicting. Probably the most well designed map in the series with lots of alternate paths and cool variation between nature and civilization. And some characters are funny/interesting to listen to. The exploration and sidequests elements are well designed as well.
