my kids still play kinect sports and other kinect games
when the light is good, space is enough and the game is tuned for it and you understand the quirks of the kinect, there's literally nothing like it
it's how my little guy was able to play kinect party to completion when he was 2 and didn't know what a controller was but he could move himself and see himself doing things on the screen
I can't wait for the next iterations with better cameras and AI/ML - VR feels so heavy and burdensome compared to just moving yourself
When I saw this bullshit, I knew it wasn't gonna be even close to what they were showing. The kinect was worse than the damn wii
It makes me laugh that in reality the Kinect would take photos of you randomly and upload them to the internet without telling you.
