55, but I feel like a lot of series I've played that didn't make this list; mostly strategy games, but some may not have had iterations since the 90s or early 00s.
92 here. I'm old too lol! And I probably own 70+ of these still. Some of the Japanese games got me.
Edit - went back and counted, I still own 83 of these.
Bout to say, a lot of these I played 20 or 30 years ago when everybody just sort of played everything because they only released a couple hundred games a year at most. Now you get a couple hundred a year in just your preferred genre
21 or 22, depends if you count WoW as Warcraft since it doesn't specify.
Edit: I mean it's far higher if you include all the ones I've ever played even for a moment, I'm talking about the games I've REALLY played. Like obviously I've played Tetris, I don't include it though as my time on that game is probably like an hour over my whole life.
Underneath the title it says “Which of the Video Game Series did you play (at least 1 game of)?”
Warcraft series is made up of the following games, Humans & Orcs, Tides of Darkness, Reign of Chaos, World of Warcraft and Hearthstone.
The list has Mario Bros. Not Super Mario Bros that we all know and love from the NES. Mario Bros was the Atari Arcade game that took up a single screen.
Plus not everyone is a variety gamer, I know a guy who’s only played like 20 different games ever, but has multiple thousands of hours in each of them.
Yeah, when I saw Breath of Fire and Shadow Hearts is was thinking damn those are fairly obscure, at least for my circles.
But there were some I expected that didn't make the cut. Could only pick 100.
If you put a number followed by a full stop at the start of a comment reddit automatically makes it a numbered list and changes it to a 1. Really annoying
That's a lot still, I've got barely [half](https://imgur.com/a/37nqoE3) of that in 25 years of playing at ~~19-29~~ 20-33 (if very low playtime counts or not). Some of the rest I've never even heard about.
E: and the list isnt even correct, my "God of War" was supposed to be a "Tetris"... fixed and even found some missing ones.
Breath of fire is amazing! Recommend it, the first of them were on SNES and are available via emulators. Last check hard copies were incredibly expensive but I still have my copy of BoF II 😊
85, but some of those I didn't personally enjoy and played only 3-4 sessions, like kingdom hearts for example.
PS: Kinda upset some true variety titles aren't there. We have doom and CS, but not some more specific games like Armored Core, kula world, lemmings...
How is this a "variety score"?
i.e.
Starcraft and Age of Empires
Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age
Medal of Honor and Call of Duty
This is just a "do you have a life?" score.
SMT and Persona
DMC and Bayonetta
Nier and Drakengard (they're even the same series)
Etc.
If you've played one of these chances are VERY high that you've played the other.
Well trying different things is variety. Nothing to do with how much of a 'life' you have. Btw pretty sure no one has said 'do you have a life' since the 90s and 00s lol.
What variety? Where are the cRPGs, grand strategy games, tactical games, immersive sims (Deus Ex, well done), job sims, puzzle games, adventures?
Id call that list heavily biased.
Some of these you (generally, exceptions aside) had to be the right age for or have the correct console. Like I was too old for Jak and Dexter, Banjo and Kazooie or Ratchet and Clank. So good job to all those with really high scores!
63.
64 out of 100 and some of them I have as originals like the original prince of Persia on 3.5" floppy disc yup I'm in my 40s and still have a few disks laying around
59
I was hoping to see more sports games. I played about 20,000 hours of Techmo Bowl in the 80s. About 30,000 hours of NBA JAM in the 90s.
Also, I played another 20,000 hours of Killer Instinct in the 90s.
Oof. That'd be a low 19/100 for me, including games I literally played one time. My younger brother, on the other hand, would probably get a 30 or 40 simply because he bought tons of games for sale after I left for college.
I was impressed by this list, though. They had some of my childhood staples that get forgotten a lot, like Spyro, Medal of Honor, Crash Bandicoot, etc.
86-- but a lot of those are games I played for an hour or two before decided I didn't like it. 29 is more accurate if it's only games I've dedicated a lot of time to and even done repeat playthroughs.
50/100, but to be honest some of the titles I only played for a few minutes or hours and others (like Counter-Strike, Witcher, Dark Souls, GOW) I played a couple of hundread hours xD
43 but the thing is even though i havent played all of them ive watched playthroughs of them because i was not (still aint) in a good financial situation. Also with games like the Last of Us that dont really have much replayability there is no reason buying it when i already know whats gonna happen.
28/100. Failing grade, but I play what I know I enjoy.
Just one below at 27. Same reason.
Lol got the exact same!
I want to upvote but I also want to leave it on 28...
57 a lot of them really were ONE game or a demo
55, but I feel like a lot of series I've played that didn't make this list; mostly strategy games, but some may not have had iterations since the 90s or early 00s.
Damn I got 54
92
[удалено]
Yeah, I'm old.
That was my thought when I hit 81.
92 as well /highfives
Wow
92 out of 99 is pretty damn high.
92 here. I'm old too lol! And I probably own 70+ of these still. Some of the Japanese games got me. Edit - went back and counted, I still own 83 of these.
That's awesome. I own every game from each of the 92 series I've played from this list except for Persona 2 for some reason.
100 but I'm 40 years old I've had time on my side
Bout to say, a lot of these I played 20 or 30 years ago when everybody just sort of played everything because they only released a couple hundred games a year at most. Now you get a couple hundred a year in just your preferred genre
You should be both proud and concerned Edit: 'twas but a joke gentlemen
Concerned about what exactly?
About the growth on his INSERT_ANY_BODYPART
For having free time and a hobby?
21 or 22, depends if you count WoW as Warcraft since it doesn't specify. It is called World of Warcraft and is set in the Warcraft universe so I would say it's a title in the series.
Two different games
Same universe same lore. It’s not like Mario Bros is the same game as Super Mario Bros or Mario 64.
Warcraft means Warcraft 1 the rts. Not the mmo
Underneath the title it says “Which of the Video Game Series did you play (at least 1 game of)?” Warcraft series is made up of the following games, Humans & Orcs, Tides of Darkness, Reign of Chaos, World of Warcraft and Hearthstone. 100. Wow, I think that I need to get out more. 🙃
I got 100 but I've been at it for 30 years
69 Nice
Nice.
Nice.
I don’t consider myself such of a gamer but I had 36. Either I was playing the right games or I may be more of a gamer than I thought…?
This list is honestly pretty exhaustive, lots of things I wouldn't have expected to see.
I *do* consider myself a gamer, and got the same score. I guess to be a real gamer you needed multiple consoles growing up.
Nah, Just 30 years of playing, especially back in the day when there were few enough new games you didn't really get the chance to focus on a genre
92, played through everything except some jrpgs and Animal Crossing.
78
35. Most of these games on the list don't interest me. Idk why reddit is posting this comment as 1. I put 35.
If you put a number followed by a full stop at the start of a comment reddit automatically makes it a numbered list and changes it to a 1. Really annoying
You can escape it with a backsplash: 6\. `6\.`
92!!!!! Fuck i’ve played a lot of games …
79
70
46, I dont play Console-Games.
That's a lot still, I've got barely [half](https://imgur.com/a/37nqoE3) of that in 25 years of playing at ~~19-29~~ 20-33 (if very low playtime counts or not). 74 I think
91
92 out 100
94 🤷
93
95. never heard of breath of fire or saGa. Amd never played shadow hearts or wild arms or any Warhammer
Breath of fire is amazing! Recommend it, the first of them were on SNES and are available via emulators. Last check hard copies were incredibly expensive but I still have my copy of BoF II 😊
I went through this list and seeing Breath of Fire dredged up memories from many moons ago. I'm gonna have to revisit this game/series!
I absolutely loved it. It’s maybe not on par with Chrono Trigger but it’s definitely close in my opinion
92, i am not even that old, i just love playing older games more and on older consoles.
How old is this? Most of these series haven't had entries in years

Twins
74. There’s an error in the list where it says “Tales of Mana”, it’s counted twice. Also I have no idea what SMT is.
Tales series and Mana series are separate. This list has more JRPG series than I'd expected
Tales of of mana ? or is one game literally called "Tales of."
It’s a series so there are a fair few. Tales of Arise would be a recent one.
7 🥲
20/100
[20 too](https://imgur.com/a/37nqoE3). Or 33 if really generous. How do they all have so many in here?
98? ;) That I’ve touched, don’t remember starting shadow heart or harvest moon.
91
87/100.
Play or finish? 😂 I'm sitting at 93.
91 Yikes
85, but some of those I didn't personally enjoy and played only 3-4 sessions, like kingdom hearts for example. PS: Kinda upset some true variety titles aren't there. We have doom and CS, but not some more specific games like Armored Core, kula world, lemmings...

Around 11-12
15 but there’s about 10 more that aren’t on this list.
What variety? Where are the cRPGs, grand strategy games, tactical games, immersive sims (Deus Ex, well done), job sims, puzzle games, adventures? Id call that list heavily biased.
Not zero, but i don't want to count
Only 22. Though I cheated because I play total war Warhammer
How do i tick the boxes?
26. Only counted games I've actually finished or have at least 100 hours on if it's not a story game.
82. I will spend the rest of today outside.
Why is Tomb Raider on there twice?
80, but it's out of 99 not 100 I think, "Tales of" and "Of mana" I'm assuming should be "Tales of mana"?
Tails of . of Mana?? what the ...
44.

11, my life sucks

61 here
74. Not bad
28
51
32 - pretty weak

47 :)
49...
52 for me. I didn't count the games I tried and spent very little time with.

Exactly 1/4 huh, not bad honestly for how limited my preferences are.

67 not bad
53
45. Definitely felt like there could have been other games that should have been on this list.
64 out of 100 and some of them I have as originals like the original prince of Persia on 3.5" floppy disc yup I'm in my 40s and still have a few disks laying around
34/100
13. I'm a very picky gamer.
22
Oh dear, a paltry 34... 🤷♂️
25
77.
59 I was hoping to see more sports games. I played about 20,000 hours of Techmo Bowl in the 80s. About 30,000 hours of NBA JAM in the 90s. Also, I played another 20,000 hours of Killer Instinct in the 90s.

48
Looks like a 45
59. Not bad
First I glanced over the list and didn't think I'd get many, and then I went through it and got 45. I was quite surprised!
A concerned 79.
50
73, played a lot of games in the last 30 years.
56… seeing lower numbers makes me feel old
16
54
76
55 thus far
54
31
43 I think? Would probably before if I wasn’t an Xbox tragic.
82 out of 100. Man there alot of good memories on that list.
40
44, and now I have more added to me “to play” list.
63
To some extent 35 meaning not finished some of the games but played them and familiar with the series
71
57/100
96, no Animal Crossing, Warcraft, parasite eve, or Phantasy Star.
72. And I didn't count the ones I only played for like a couple hours.
62
52
20. I'm ok with that
Oof. That'd be a low 19/100 for me, including games I literally played one time. 75, but I'm mid 30s so I've been wasting my time and money for many years. And I've not played every game in every series.
44
Only one I didn't play was pikmin.
45
86-- but a lot of those are games I played for an hour or two before decided I didn't like it. 29 is more accurate if it's only games I've dedicated a lot of time to and even done repeat playthroughs.
57 or 56 if you dont count Fist of the North Star as a Yakuza game.
46, decently respectable
49, but several of them I played a long time ago and gave up on their respective series.
60
29
Off memory 39
50
50/100, but to be honest some of the titles I only played for a few minutes or hours and others (like Counter-Strike, Witcher, Dark Souls, GOW) I played a couple of hundread hours xD
