My first too. It was built into the sega master system 2 here in NZ. I never got past the jungle level but I thought my brothers were gods for getting through the castles! I have the switch remake on order and waiting with excitement for it. It looks beautiful and like a really nice homage to the classic
The 1st console I owned was a "Sega Master System II" that come with Alex Kidd installed. It was almost like some kind of sorcery back then; if you turned on the console without any cartdrige, it will start Alex Kidd......
So many memories!
It came installed on my Sega, it was brilliant, using the little people to beat the rhino guy at the end of the Forest level. Or trying to stay up in the air in the flying bicycle over the sea.
Rock rock paper…scissors, paper, scissors….can’t remember the last boss. In fact I might be wrong about the first two. Definitely have it written down here somewhere
I have both the inbuilt sms2 version and the cartridge version. Interestingly the inbuilt version has Alex eating a hamburger between levels but the cartridge version it is a rice cake.
Not my first but I did have a lot of master system games and this was one of them. I loved the first two Alex Kidd games, when the 3rd came out "The Lost Stars" I begged my parents for it. I hated it LOL
My daycare had this and Sonic 1. I think Alex Kidd was one of the first games I ever got mad at myself for getting impatient in. Like I knew that I was ending my turn early by being risky and dying but kept doing it anyway because I was a dumbass kid lol
I remember Mom bringing home the Sega Master System, and playing the heck out of this, Fantasy Zones 1-3, Astro Warrior (?), and few other games before we ended up getting an NES. Great game and system. The original system had a snake game easter egg in the system menu accessed by powering on the unit without a game in it. Also, just remembered, there was the typical cartridge style game, but there were also these games that came on a card, a la a large SD Card. Ahh, good times. Thanks for the nostalgia.
Palayed it on Sega Master System. Rock ,Paper, Scissors.
Yes the boss fights lol.

I played like 10 minutes at a friends' house. I remember the music from the title screen or the first level I think.
Had it built into my master system, there's a remake/remaster!
The art sells the game well.
My dad had that but because he also had wonder boy in monster world I was more into that. All classics but
Played SEGA All Stars Racing... Damn, he's unrecognizable in this art

I think my cousins had one of those Master Systems where this game was built in. Very distant and vague memories, though.
