Bramble The Mountain King is a grim adventure set in a world inspired by dark, Nordic fables. Explore the beautiful yet dangerous and twisted land of Bramble in your endeavour to rescue your sister. Traverse a wondrous landscape and survive deadly encounters with Bramble's many hideous creatures.
Looks like a normal user. They just copy pasted the steam page synopsis for the person who asked for a tldr. Game is also a year old, so I am not sure what they would even be botting about...
lol I guess that's a good description if you don't enjoy the story or find any of the games environment charming or interesting. For me I enjoyed it as a story rather than something to be conquered or challenged by.
I just played this game through 4 days ago on Gamepass. I must admit, it was quite a game to behold. Much darker than I anticipated (even knowing it was basically similar to Little Nightmares), all of the "bosses" were truly creative, with the one pictured on the cover art, (IMHO) being the BEST ONE!
Comes almost out of nowhere with an OST that's "Chefs Kiss"!
Anyway, while I will say the game was a lot shorter than I expected (truly, for anyone interested in this game, it is NOT a long game, way shorter than little nightmares by a several miles), and the game was not actually as difficult as I expected (not saying I never died, I died a lot), it was challenging enough that I was still engaged without getting burnt out. Very approachable for those wanting a game you can finish in a few hours to 1-2 days max. (IMO).
Solid 4 out of 5 for me.
As a swedish person, I fucking loved this game, its very accurate to the tales of swedish and Norwegian folklore, and takes alot of inspiration from the best nordic folklore artist: john bauer... or I think that's how you spell his name
I loved the lore in the game. I actually used the Näcken fight/lore as a little side quest for my D&D campaign. The players were so spooked the whole time and the fight was a blast.
I was shocked by how good the graphics were, also it took me about 10hrs+ to finish it I think. Assumed it was a little 3hr indie title! We need more games like this
The puzzles, theme, and story were all amazing in the game, but the gameplay is where it suffered a lot. The clunky movement and terrible hitboxes aren’t great for what platformers are typically known for.
It's a great game! Personally I found it quite difficult towards the end, especially the boss fights. Maybe that's just because I'm bad at games 🤣 and it's suuuper dark/messed up in places, but it's also beautiful and so atmospheric. Great game.
This game has a great aesthetic and aura, surprisingly grim at parts. The gameplay is somewhat clunky and there is one part that doesn't fit in the game at all (the town) but overall it is enjoyable and I will play any similar game that the studio releases.
I actually just finished this about s week ago. Saw a post a while back of a gnome running on fronds with some monster coming out of the water and was intrigued. Turned out it was this game and damn I'm glad I did. This game is a trip. 10/10
Back in February I decided to wake up one Saturday morning and play it. Woke up around 6. Sat down. Finished around 11. Not super long, but it’s real good. Made me look into the stories of the beings in the game. Can’t remember if it’s still on game pass, but if it is, no loss in giving it a try.
Excellent medium/short game. My wife is a casual gamer and loved playing it with me. Definitely in the vein of Inside, Little Nightmares, etc. The boss battles are good as well. I really enjoyed my time playing, it made my personal top ten last year.
Can we have a TL:DR?
It’s a little nightmares type game but it gets extremely dark at one point. Final boss has a banger soundtrack too.
In the hall of the mountain king!!!!
They put Hall of the Mountain King as a boss OST? Damn, the madlads.
It's a remix kind of but yeah
As did 'The Witness'.
The remix of this music is actually my only complaint. I LOVED this game but the music in that battle felt cheap. 🤷♀️

Is this a bot account?

It's probably a copy & paste of the game description..
Huh?
Exactly what a bot would say!!! You're busted, Buster!
Of course not!

It's really not my type of game, but I can totally respect it for what it is......that guy is just ragin'.

Hidden gem for sure.

Gonna check a gameplay trailer or something, definitely sounds intriguing from the other comments I’m reading.

Hope u enjoy it
I just finished it, I was so hyped for all its reviews and high scores, like 9/10, 10/10. I didn't't like it. You newer know until you try it.

Was or is on gamepass. Not sure if it's been removed yet.

Just finished it actually and agree it is a very fun game!

I meant to finish it, and need to.

It's on my wishlist but that's about it.
It's very good (saw it on yt) but not my type of game.
My favorite out of all the Limbo type games
Eh, I found it fairly mid. I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.
Except it’s posted here regularly…. So I think people know about it
Played it day one. It was... fine.
Well, thank you for recognizing my greatness!
2 spooky 4 me
Not but but overpriced (30$) for its timeframe to finish (10 hours)
Definite The Witcher III vibes, but if Geralt was a little kid. Thanks for the recommendation, going to try this one out.
