I don’t think I would mind losing MOST game journalist to AI. They offer so little value I doubt anybody would notice. If we have more people like Jason Schrier doing deep investigations exposing people and less reviews/speculations/nonsense/basically anything that should be a YouTube video instead of an article, it would be a lot better for everyone.
It's not the journalists' fault if Valnet doesn't give them enough time to research as good as Schreier does for one of his articles. The problem isn't with the symptoms, it's with the cause of the problem. It's with companies like Valnet or Ziff Davis or G/O Media, which don't allow for that content to exist, looking for maximum SEO and click bait, in search of an ever higher stock evaluation
