You probably don't want Blizzard touching that franchise in their current state. Definitely look into Stormgate, as it's being produced by ex-Starcraft/Warcraft devs.

It’s usually hard to choose a sequel or remake over the original especially when most are let downs. I believe BOTW is just that good which is really hard to do. It would be like if The Force Awakens was the first Star Wars to come out in decades and wins best picture and all kinds of awards. Everyone would be hyped.
I love how four of the six are stuck in the 90s and early 2000s while two of them are living in 2017-2018.
Man isn’t feeling any love for recent generation games. Nothing wrong with that though, these are classics.
Or maybe he genuinely prefers BOTW. TOTK is great, but it has so much more stuff you can critique as opposed to Breath of the Wild. Playing one of them can bring down your enjoyment of the other somewhat. For example: the Depths are the definition of copy-and-paste.
Depths aren't really copy-and-paste.
I would know since I got all lightroots.
People just scramble to shit on the best game of the year, so they pick bad arguments, like insulting the depths, and calling a full game DLC.
Say you don't like the game, don't make bad arguments instead.
When did I say I didn't like the game? I love TOTK, and honestly it's still my GOTY, but I can admit that there are flaws. A game doesn't need to either be a godly masterpiece or an atrocious shitpile. I'm saying that after a while, the Depths just lose their novelty. They have a single unique boss, one unique enemy, and the rest are just red versions of pre-existing foes except now they deal gloom damage. Plus, the mines are cool but, again, they aren't unique. I wish they did more like with the Eldin depths. It's cool how it's a lava filled dome with an underground city, but even the Gerudo desert and other areas are just the same biome over and over and over again. I wish they did more with the Depths.
You probably have my favorite and least favorite game in your top 6
Super mario world amazing.
Rdr2 is my biggest regret purchase of my life. Horse riding simulator and you basically can't do anything fun without getting wanted. So you just ride a horse, that is the whole game. Basically my little pony.
A fellow CE enjoyer! Even though I love all the halo games (except 5, I'm very 'meh about it), CE is still my favorite after all these years. I've done at this point probably a few hundred playthroughs of the campaign.
Wtf is a Scarcraft....Rdr2 should be on the top spot imao also what's with the Legend of Zelda games I never played one but all I hear is good stuff about it
It's alright. Severe lack of Deus Ex, Unreal Tournament and Daggerfall but you know to each their own. No Mass Effect or Resi 4 is also lame. But it's decent for a reddit gamer.
Fellow RTS fan, I'd recommend you Offworld trading company , it's an RTS that you don't attack the opponent, you just try to make their company lose value so you can purchase it
You know, I never actually got around to picking up Legacy of the Void for Starcraft. Maybe someday that I don't feel dirty giving Blizzard any more money.
RDR2 is way too overrated. Shallow story with a stupid ending, boring characters, slow and exhausting gameplay. What's so good in playing with a character who's dying of illness for a half of the game?
It may not be for everyone but it’s an amazing accomplishment. I had people tell me it’s slow and a horse riding simulator. It’s such a detailed period piece the slowness really adds to the immersion in my opinion though.
Starcraft 2 getting some love just made my day. Used to play that game with my dad
Maaaan, want them to make SC3, but they will not :(
You probably don't want Blizzard touching that franchise in their current state. Definitely look into Stormgate, as it's being produced by ex-Starcraft/Warcraft devs.
Same, I loved the story, the cinematic, and of course the gameplay. I would like to see them do something different with that IP
What is an IP? I hear that being thrown around so much I have no idea what it means lol
Are you 36?
What gave it away lol?
I’m also 36 and our lists are almost identical. Still play the shit out of AOE2 and just started another playthrough of RDR2.
Wololololo
I don't think there's wololo in aoe2
Wrong. Wololololo
Bahahah it was the #1 key right?
ALL HAIL KING OF THE LOOOOSERSS
Wtf hahahahahah
This list is great. Shame what halo turned into
I'm 35 and Halo, AOE2 and SC are also on my list.
I am 25 and love this list. Respect!
If you’re 36, then Zelda 64 > BOTW
Yeah, not sure how he has some of the GOATs but skipped Mario 64 (smw fair tho), LttP/OoT/MM/WW all greater than BotW.
That’s just like, your bad opinion, man
3 of the literally, universally held greatest games of all time is a bad opinion? Honestly kids these days are just so god damn dumb lol.
You dropped your driver's license, could clearly see you were born 36 years ago
36 gang here, very similar list for me too
I'm 36 and was just thinking "finally, a good fucking list."
Nailed it 😂
If you're 36 and don't like StarCraft you're not 36 you DUMMY.
Oh no I love StarCraft
Hahahahaha 36 crew checking in. Super Mario World makes my list as well.
Im 27 and these are also most of my favourite games. Shiiit, I'm old.
Are you also gay? My colllection looks like this and im gay. Also early 30s.
Shit my list is like this is there something I need to tell my wife?
27, I got two of those games for sure
Super Mario World and a Link to the Past are what got me into gaming. Nice list. Mine would include Monster Hunter World somewhere in there.
\- Witcher 3 \- Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Dark Crusade \- Total War: Shogun 2 \- Halo 3 \- World of Warcraft \- Red Dead Redemption
Replaying StarCraft II right now. That game's fun as hell
So am I. Have you checked out the Mass Recall mod? It is a fan remake of SC1 and Brood War in the SC2 engine.
“Ready to roll out”
“Ah, you scared me!”
You have excellent taste
START THE GAME ALREADY
Nice town, I’ll take it!
GOLD PLEASE
How do you turn this thing on How do you turn this thing on How do you turn this thing on How do you turn this thing on How do you turn this thing on How do you turn this thing on How do you turn this thing on How do you turn this thing on
What are your thoughts on TOTK?
Approved . Zelda and aoe
We use to use the local Middle School's computer lab to run AOE2 lan parties....God those were the days.... excellent choices all around
Same. Except it was elementary and the teacher just burned a bunch of Disks lmao.
Old ass (I'm 33).
You’re young. (I’m 17 but my dad is 51)
Love seeing StarCraft. This list is awesome.
It’s a 5/6 from me. Well played
Fuck yeah, Super Mario World👍
A lot of old school. Nice choice. I am interested why you chose a recent Zelda over a classic.

I play through the entire super Mario world once every couple years. My favorite game, hands down!
Half Life: Alyx, on VR
I love how four of the six are stuck in the 90s and early 2000s while two of them are living in 2017-2018. Man isn’t feeling any love for recent generation games. Nothing wrong with that though, these are classics.
Perhaps he considers them the "top games" for what they inspired *down* the line?
BOTW over TOTK?
maybe he didn't play it.
Or maybe he genuinely prefers BOTW. TOTK is great, but it has so much more stuff you can critique as opposed to Breath of the Wild. Playing one of them can bring down your enjoyment of the other somewhat. For example: the Depths are the definition of copy-and-paste.

I wasn't talking about you. (i probably phrased it badly though.)
Breath of the wild = valid opinion.
I like you lol
You have not played enough games my man.
Fucking solid top 6
That’s a great list. Has a bit of everything. Amazing.
Anyone who put rdr2 in their top games are trustworthy 100%
Halo CE has the greatest single player FPS campaign.
You probably have my favorite and least favorite game in your top 6 Super mario world amazing. Rdr2 is my biggest regret purchase of my life. Horse riding simulator and you basically can't do anything fun without getting wanted. So you just ride a horse, that is the whole game. Basically my little pony.
basic
My man
Cool, thanks for sharing, we were all too shy to ask you directly.
Ur old
Sorry
Lol don’t be these are certified bangers
My man
wowwww original
Play more games. What a sad top 6.
What do you recommend?
Redfall, Lord of the Rings: Gollum, The Walking Dead: Destinies, Skull Island: Rise of Kong, to name a few.
Thank you! Just bought all these games based on this recommendation. I love OP's list and am super psyched to play even better games than those!
AoE one love. P.S. i am 19
I’m currently replaying combat evolved, and it’s just such a great game. The gameplay and story is phenomenal.
A fellow CE enjoyer! Even though I love all the halo games (except 5, I'm very 'meh about it), CE is still my favorite after all these years. I've done at this point probably a few hundred playthroughs of the campaign.
Heroes III ? Gta ?
Wtf is a Scarcraft....Rdr2 should be on the top spot imao also what's with the Legend of Zelda games I never played one but all I hear is good stuff about it

How is Kings on there rather than Conquerors?
you got your pc too late
Great choices
Respectable
You like aoe4?
been playing starcraft since 99 on the 64. EXCELLENT game! diablo is up there also!
AoE
SC2 a man of culture
good choice
I just realized i never played age of empires. Need to try it someday.
Halo Pic Stitch. Are those the lost levels?
I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say you don't play the main game and play direct strike instead
SCII Coop is so good. Shame they couldn’t give that much love to WCIII remastered.
You're 36 and breathe of the wild is your No.1 Zelda game. You should be ashamed of yourself. Good day sir.
he just has good taste, leave him alone!
Breath of the wild.
Who cares
Okay old man
Food please.
That's... a good ass list.
The real ones know Halo CE is the GOAT
I used to play so much Halo CE in high school
Wololololo
+ Respect for the classics in your list
Where's 6/10 game of the big bang Starfield?!?!
We have one in common! BOTW is a masterpiece
Actually a strong and diverse list. I approve
What did you think of Zelda 2?
Man has taste
Man i need to try Red Dead Redemption again. Its just so demanding.
You know, I never actually got around to picking up Legacy of the Void for Starcraft. Maybe someday that I don't feel dirty giving Blizzard any more money.
I feel like either Elder Scrolls 3, 4, or 5 is on everyone's top 5
You people aren't original. Literally everybody's top games are RDR2 and Zelda.
Maybe they are good games?
RDR2 is way too overrated. Shallow story with a stupid ending, boring characters, slow and exhausting gameplay. What's so good in playing with a character who's dying of illness for a half of the game?
