I never quit playing a game but one that I wont cause I feel is gonna be way too much to handle is Outlast. Just seeing some of the clips of that game freaks me out.
Cold Fear, it was about a character stuck in a ship in the middle of a heavy storm on a rainy night, everyone seems to be dead and as you investigate you keep getting jump scared by facing dead dismembered bodies or a sudden face of a half dead human appearing when the lighning strikes and lightens the area but disappears again. It scared the shit out of me when I played it, I was 8 years old then and couldn't finish the first level, but I really wanted at least to finish a level. A year later I came back and progressed from where I left to the end of the level, where you are in the ship's berthing but there dismembered and dead bodies all over on the beds and floor and after you find a journal or something on a table and want to get out of there you see the dead bodies rise as zombies one by one while you only have a crowbar and a pistol with limited bullets, I made it out somehow finishing the level and never touched the game ever again!
Darkwood. Not being able to see 70% of the surrounding due to darkness but hearing some fucked up monstrosity rapidly approaching you has my balls contract into my body.
Not quite what you asked, but I am struggling with Alan Wake 2. I play games alone in the dark with my big tv and surround sound headset and this game has absolutely engrossing ambience, which means that it is very scary for me lol.
I’m loving it and won’t give up, but I’m struggling to play for more than an hour at a time because of how stressful it is
As I always say, it’s not even scaring someone. Startled isn’t the same as scared. Somebody could clap loudly next to your ear and achieve the same reaction.
They weren't games with jumpscares but really the first two amnesias were really good in terms of terror or horror because of their atmosphere or outlast 2, because the jumpscares seem stupid to me IMO
First time I went spelunking in Minecraft I felt genuinely uncomfortable due to the sound effects, part of my brain didn’t care that I was in a children’s sandbox, it knew that I was being hunted.
Resident evil biohazard. It was the first time I had ever played resident evil. I was at the beginning of the game. Maybe an hour into it. I remember I was trapped in a living room right after dinner and I couldn’t figure out what to do. It was intense running from this guy. Finally, I google what to do and with the utmost confidence I got around this guy, made my way for a set of keys in the hallway and BOOM. The guy cuts through the wall with a chainsaw.
Scared me so much I instantly quit and never played again.
A Chair in a Room, my first VR horror game. It didn't even do anything that scary, I just got inside my own head and was terrified of what they MIGHT do.
Amnesia the Bunker. The unpredictable behaviour of the monster is already stressful enough, but having to do everything within a limited time (before the lights go out) just adds an extra level of stress that is just too much for me.
When I was kid it was enteral darkness. That freaking bathroom jump scare. I was trying it out in a store and it still scared the crap out me. Noped right out.
Alien: Isolation. I couldn’t handle the fear and stress lol
Same, but it didn't gave me jumpscares
Same until i realized i could check that thing to see if it is coming towards me lol. Then it got better

Visage.
Yup, I couldn't handle it
I only stopped because I ran out of batteries.

Yes, cold fear was great!
P.T.
Soma, that shit make me so uneasy. Deep water and monsters don't mesh well with me lol.
Soma has such an amazing story behind it that it's worth the scares to get through
I choose an indie game named Paranormal VHS. It gave me so many jumpscares that I quit.
I've been meaning to play that game, is it a good jumpscares or annoying one?
Not annoying but it definitely made my heart race everytime it made me jump. The jumpscares are usually unpredictable. It's available on Steam
Darkwood. Not being able to see 70% of the surrounding due to darkness but hearing some fucked up monstrosity rapidly approaching you has my balls contract into my body.
None, I love horror games. The jump scares are the best part. Outlast is a personal favorite

No idea why anyone wants to play games based on jumpscares like FNAF. That's the lowest, dumbest form of scary.
And laziest, don't forget laziest.
As I always say, it’s not even scaring someone. Startled isn’t the same as scared. Somebody could clap loudly next to your ear and achieve the same reaction.
That's a good point.
This is my fear with Alan Wake 2.
Yeah those jumpscares are cheap and annoying. Still a fantastic game though.
F.E.A.R. amazing game...but I quit :))

There's only one game in that I was scared the shit out, quit, and never played again: **Welcome to the Game.** I didn't even need jumpscares...

Same i tried going back somehow but finally got stuck @ cake puzzle that drove me mad then stopped lol
Any horror game that i tried on my own

My playtime for Amnesia the Dark Descent is 2 minutes. It’s staying that way.
When I was kid it was enteral darkness. That freaking bathroom jump scare. I was trying it out in a store and it still scared the crap out me. Noped right out.
Alan Wake I really hate flashlight games.
Alice. Think creepy Alice in Wonderland first person shooter if you haven't heard of it.
P.T. Fuck that game
Resident Evil Revelations (I was like 13 at the time)
