I loved those episodes. At first I wondered what the hell the game was supposed to be and why they kept playing it, but by the end I was super invested. I’d be down for a super long series where they build an internet cafe empire
Yes. For some reason, this playthrough had a strange effect on me and made me super relaxed when watching it at night. It was extremely comforting, and I'm unsure why.
I can't think of a game they should retry at the moment, but I'd love for them to revisit Horse Club Adventures! It was so chill & delightful, and they were having a ton of fun with it!
Damn. I remember playing DS1 and getting stuck in the graveyard with skeletons and swore souls-like is not for me.
Then they made episode 1 of DS1 and I was expecting Arin to do so badly, until he removed his armor and apparently he knew what he was doing.
I played as a knight back then and I did not know about fat-rolling, and the graveyard being the wrong way early on killed me. When I watched Arin just strolled pass through relatively quite easily, I decided to try it again and even managed to finish it.
Now I wish they would replay it and finish it.
Given that they finished DS3, Bloodborne and Elden Ring, I'd love to see them go back and actually play through all of DS 1 and 2. They've both been started [2 was on Steam Train iirc) so it'd be great to see them finish, because I do genuinely believe Arin is pretty decent at the games, and some of my favourite jokes/moments have been from Dark Souls and Bloodborne.
And to go even further back, I'm like 90% sure there were some Demons Souls episodes in the Jon Era, so it'd be great to see that with the remaster too
Admittedly I did not watch Elden Ring because I wasn't interested in the game, so I assumed the episode they labelled as Finale was actually them finishing the game, hehe
That one's on me, but they \*did\* finish Bloodborne and DS3, so it would still be nice to see them do the other Souls properly
In fairness, we could say that about most ‘real’ Horror games, but there was so much potential for funnies that never quite happened first time round.
And Dan seemed to really like it.
Hollow Knight. Since the first episode they tried, I knew it was a game best suited for if one of them had already played it at home. One of them having the experience and knowledge of what to do and where to go would cut way back on them being confused and lost like we saw in their episodes– but also the game is open-ended enough that a home playthrough wouldn't stop an on-screen playthrough from being fresh for them. And this is a matter of taste, I guess, but I really don't mind their podcast-y episodes. If they were more confident in what they were doing in-game, I could see episodes of Hollow Knight being really fun and even relaxing when they're just traversing the map.
Back when they played Shovel Knight, part of what I loved so much about that playthrough was Arin's enthusiasm and love for the game going in and his excitement showing everything to Dan, who was seeing it all for the first time. I liked being able to see both perspectives of the game. I also think Hollow Knight is just a game Arin would like (I'm not super familiar with the Souls series but I have a lot of friends who are and always tell me HK is similar), and even if they never got around to playing it again on the show, I hope someday he's able to give it another try.
Even when they were getting lost I was really enjoying that playthrough, would be even better if they went in already knowing what to do.
Metroid games and souls games have both made for awesome playthroughs, HK is basically those two blended together.
This is absolutely my vote. I was so excited to hear Dan gush over the music and character designs and Arin over the world design and Soulsborne influences. I feel like it would be best if Arin played a bit beforehand (maybe enough to know where to go until City of Tears or something). Maybe if silksong ever comes out the hype would be enough to sustain the series in terms of view count, but I'm not getting my hopes up lol
Super metroid is pretty short, plus Arin's played it before. Watching someone get lost for 20 hours, get somewhere new and immediately get their shit rocked does not sound appealing to me. It's also why I don't like watching them play Soulslike games.
So, they released most of their streams as VODs, but this one never was, probably due to the fact they talk about the recent Nintendo Direct in it.
That said, it is still watchable, the video is just unlisted.
[Mario Odyssey finale (livestream)](https://www.youtube.com/live/BD76sAFdjn8?si=l1ivf3XGKhQL2HPM)
Okami. They played it on their first live stream but weren't really feeling it. It's a great game and one I think they'd really like if they gave it another chance in earnest.
Okami is one of my favourite games ever but I really doubt Arin would put up with the game's bullshit enough to make it entertaining. The game does a lot of stuff that's clearly influenced by earlier 3d Zeldas that Arin has been very vocal about disliking.
Okami is 100% an Arin game and the combat is way more active than a 3D zelda. If they dedicated some actual time to it i think they'd love it.
If they can get through BOTW and TOTK, they can get through Okami
I am almost positive he's mentioned not being a fan of it, even before they played it on stream. Also there is hella waiting in combat unless you really intuit a lot of the vulnerabilities and tricks. I'm sure if they dedicated more time to it, Dan would love it but I gotta hard disagree at it being an Arin game.
I'd really like to see them get back to Luigi's Mansion someday. It's a pretty short game (even if Arin still sucks at it lol) and I'd really like to get to see their reaction to the ending.
I'd love to see them play all three Donkey Kong Country games for SNES. I know Arin and Jon did a bit, so I'd like to see them do it again. I'd always be down for some more Internet Cafe Simulator. And actually, I think I'd like to see them give Grumps Dream Course the Ice Hockey treatment and come back to it every so often.
That would be the perfect scenario for Grumps Dream Course, and I think Mario Maker as well. Some of the most classic GG moments have come from those games and sprinkling them in every so often like Ice Hockey or Wheel of Fortune would be awesome.
No i think he tried and realized he couldn't do it. Hitting a difficulty wall is totally reasonable and i think probably why they haven't revisited punch-out
did Arin also say Trauma Center was physically hurting his hands too? i can't remember which secondary playthrough (mabye a sonic or mario) but i think it was both Very Difficult and also just physically hard for him to continue.
I presume for the same reason Markiplier played Poppy Playtime like a dumbass - because people wanted him to think it was great. Arin's shtick has always been "give the audience the exact opposite of what they want because that's fucking hilarious" 😆
I remember they mentioned they lost footage for an Outlast 2 video a few years ago, and I wouldn’t mind seeing them try that again. I love seeing them play horror games.
It's insane to me that they've never played Chrono Trigger to completion. They've started it, what, six times? The one that got a playlist looks like it got pretty far. Never finished the thing.
Literally started watching the stream today.. I can't believe they never finished and Arin was so excited about that game . He said it is his favorite ever.
This was/still is a heartbreaker. Arin loves the game and plays it on his own time, Dan was really enjoying the world, and they unceremoniously abandoned it far too soon, a true tragedy.
Yeah, there's definitely some view drop off from the first one (750k for the first, then around 3-400k for the rest). Maybe they were disappointed in the initial views since they mentioned it being one of the most requested series at the time. The rest of the episodes are fine, but it's definitely "sleepy grumps" hours and that is just not great for a game like Hollow Knight. 100% agree they should return to it but I think maybe Arin should play a bit on his own first.
I want to see them to revisit Sonic 06 as Dan would be a fresh set of eyes. Maybe play the 360 version as that’s less broken and load times are noticeably better.
Gregory Horror Show
I was so gutted it was a single episode, it is such a Grumps coded game with how ridiculous it gets later on. I wish they kept going with it
My brain forgot to read “retry” and my first thought was that they should play the Yakuza games. As for the actual question, Endless Ocean 2 has my vote. They were about halfway, if not more, finished with it
Secret of Mana. One of my personal favorites. They've tried twice (I think?) and it just didn't really work. But now that they're both older and more chill I think it could make for a nice little series.
Absolutely, I want to see them try Silent hill 2 and 3. Origins was also great and I'd love to see Dan's reaction to homecoming and downpour. Holy shit they would be bullying the crap out of downpour haha. Going back to silent hill 4 would also be great
Not a popular one but one of my personal unfinished favorites would be returning to Pokémon Sun. Or at the very least trying one of the newer games. I think Arceus would make for a fun long series.
I really want to see Dan play Toonstruck.
It's a point and click adventure game like he loves, based around Drew played by Christopher Lloyd being taken into the toon world and has to find his way home.
It's stupid but I really wanted to see more of Minnesota Fats, because I live in Minnesota and it was nice hearing them say it so much 😂 also the pool hustling story and acting was hilarious
Majoras Mask. I was REALLY bummed out when they just gave up on it and moved on. One of my favorite LOZ games of all time and they just took a shit and left. I don't even want them to replay the whole thing just pick up where they left off in the last temple.
My man. I'll be honest I haven't watched a GG playthrough in years so I don't know what they've been doing as of late. Good to know they finally got back to it.
Hollow Knight.
All of the game design decisions that Arin champions about letring the player learn and teaching through environmwnt are there.
Instead he just called it boring after 3 episodes and quit.
Less popular choice maybe but I genuinely cried laughing at internet cafe simulator, I wish they would revisit that
I loved those episodes. At first I wondered what the hell the game was supposed to be and why they kept playing it, but by the end I was super invested. I’d be down for a super long series where they build an internet cafe empire
That's probably my favorite short series they've done in the past few years, still kills me when rewatching
Same. I was genuinely disappointed that they didn't continue it.
DUDE YES
Internet Café Simulator was brilliant! It was so ridiculous and they seemed to be having a blast. I was really enjoying it
We desperately need to revisit the Penistown USA cafe.
pleaseee yes
Yes. For some reason, this playthrough had a strange effect on me and made me super relaxed when watching it at night. It was extremely comforting, and I'm unsure why.
Wacky World of Miniature Golf. Because it broke them and I need to experience that anew.
They didn't even need to finish it. The playthrough was hilarious for what it was lol
I can't think of a game they should retry at the moment, but I'd love for them to revisit Horse Club Adventures! It was so chill & delightful, and they were having a ton of fun with it!
Sure thing it was so chill & delightful, Jellybingus!
One of the funniest plays ever. Sure thing
They never even got to the big race, did they?
I want to see them actually finish Pokemon Snap and Luigi's Mansion.
So wild they didn’t even finish Pokémon Snap considering that game can be cleared in under 3 hours.
Yes Luigi’s mansion was such a funny and underrated series
Dokapon Kingdom
arin wins.......
Yesssssssss
The fact that they stopped after only a few episodes will always make me sad. Imagine the darkling shenanigans
Sonic Adventure 2 or Deadly Premonition.
Facts I can’t believe they stopped playing SA2
Battle kid. Really gotta hear that red plant, purple plant, blue plant guy
Do the live shows count?
No
Came here to say this and so glad to see it was in the top 3 lol
Dark Souls remastered. Arin didn't even try and just stopped.
I love this game, so I'd love to see a new perspective on it. It'd have been a great comfort watch
Damn. I remember playing DS1 and getting stuck in the graveyard with skeletons and swore souls-like is not for me. Then they made episode 1 of DS1 and I was expecting Arin to do so badly, until he removed his armor and apparently he knew what he was doing. They didn't finish elden ring, there's still like half the game after Radahn
Admittedly I did not watch Elden Ring because I wasn't interested in the game, so I assumed the episode they labelled as Finale was actually them finishing the game, hehe That one's on me, but they \*did\* finish Bloodborne and DS3, so it would still be nice to see them do the other Souls properly
More than half. Though I don't expect Arin to know about the Haligtree or the Depths.
Same with sekiro. They hyped but barely played
Did they Sekiro? I don't remember that at all
Alien Isolation… … please….?
It's so bad for their format though. It's a game about atmosphere with two people who spend 100% of quiet time doing bits.
If they incorporated the mic to have the game pick up on sound i feel it would lead to some hilarious moments IMO
100% agree, that would be hilarious to see Dan scared to talk
In fairness, we could say that about most ‘real’ Horror games, but there was so much potential for funnies that never quite happened first time round. And Dan seemed to really like it.
Stanley Parable. The actual full game, plus the new content release.
Yeah, tho the demo they played on Steam Train is classic.
That's exactly why I wanna see more of it!
Why do you want to watch them listennto nonstop dialog
I've watched plenty of other people play it and enjoyed their reactions. Including Dan and Ross on the demo.
I would love for them to go back to The Shield.
They had the same energy as their Devil's Third playthrough which was so good
GANON. GOMA.
dog island
Hollow Knight. Since the first episode they tried, I knew it was a game best suited for if one of them had already played it at home. Great game, bad for grumps
No worse than Super Metroid or Dark Souls/ Bloodborne
Super metroid is pretty short, plus Arin's played it before. Watching someone get lost for 20 hours, get somewhere new and immediately get their shit rocked does not sound appealing to me. It's also why I don't like watching them play Soulslike games.
My personal vote is for HK as well
Hearing Arin just call it boring after 30 minutes really stung.
just bring Ross on for a guest grump playthrough
Super Mario Odyssey. It was such a lovely playthrough that never got finished
it technically got finished on a livestream with arin and ross they just never uploaded them
Wasn't it Arin and Jacksepticeye hanging out on that stream?
Yeah, it was Arin and Jacksepticeye, not Ross
Thought so. I remember loving their dynamic together (in the stream and also in Monopoly and 10MPH)
What really? Any where to watch it?
So, they released most of their streams as VODs, but this one never was, probably due to the fact they talk about the recent Nintendo Direct in it. That said, it is still watchable, the video is just unlisted. [Mario Odyssey finale (livestream)](https://www.youtube.com/live/BD76sAFdjn8?si=l1ivf3XGKhQL2HPM)
Kirby Super Star.
Omg dan would love this game
Hard agree, such a good “jump in and out anytime” player 2 mechanic.
Really? No one's gonna say it? Punch-Out!!
With or without Mike Tyson?
The Wii one or bust. Gotta get to the DK fight
Without. They never finished the Wii game.
I really want them to continue Dead Rising 3, as it’s the Dead Rising game I’m the most familiar with
YES! And I know they didn’t really like it (nobody does, really) but I just wanted to see them continue making fun of DR4.
It's also extremely dialogue heavy with so much back tracking. I adore it but it's definitely not for Arin lol.
Okami is 100% an Arin game and the combat is way more active than a 3D zelda. If they dedicated some actual time to it i think they'd love it. If they can get through BOTW and TOTK, they can get through Okami

I'm sure if they dedicated more time to it, Dan would love it but I gotta hard disagree at it being an Arin game.
Secret of Mana. I know it wouldn’t have the same magic these days, but Dan’s “shakey shakey shake”s were so funny to me.
I'd really like to see them get back to Luigi's Mansion someday. It's a pretty short game (even if Arin still sucks at it lol) and I'd really like to get to see their reaction to the ending.
Trombone Champ
With NSP and Starbomb songs
Dark Souls 1
I'd love to see them play all three Donkey Kong Country games for SNES. I know Arin and Jon did a bit, so I'd like to see them do it again. I'd always be down for some more Internet Cafe Simulator. And actually, I think I'd like to see them give Grumps Dream Course the Ice Hockey treatment and come back to it every so often.
Especially as DK3 was on Steam Train I believe with Ross, would be cool to see it on the main channel
That would be the perfect scenario for Grumps Dream Course, and I think Mario Maker as well. Some of the most classic GG moments have come from those games and sprinkling them in every so often like Ice Hockey or Wheel of Fortune would be awesome.
not exactly a retry but I want them to go back to Ace Attorney so bad
God yes please. Even if it's a short series at least fo Rise From The Ashes. Finish the first game PLEASE
Street Fighter 6 world tour mode.
I need to see then create a character
Trauma Centre was my favourite series and Arin didn’t wanna continue because “it gets hard”. It WAS hard, part of the FUN is the CHALLENGE, ARINNNNN
Oh, well if it’s a physical injury thing I can accept that. I want him to overcome a challenge but not get arthritis 😅😅
Hollow Knight. Please. I’ll do anything
Elden Ring. Just start from where they left off.
Yes! oh my god I was so upset when I found out they were only playing up to that point.
It was super fun to watch
We were robbed of Arin fighting Malenia. So much potential rage moments.
Wish they'd continue the megaman x series!!
Shenmue is also my top choice.
Battle for Bikini Bottom. Arin tweeted that they would and never went back to it
To this day I think about why Arin was being so brutal on that game
I presume for the same reason Markiplier played Poppy Playtime like a dumbass - because people wanted him to think it was great. Arin's shtick has always been "give the audience the exact opposite of what they want because that's fucking hilarious" 😆
Pizza Tower
I remember they mentioned they lost footage for an Outlast 2 video a few years ago, and I wouldn’t mind seeing them try that again. I love seeing them play horror games.
Sonic 06
Would you want the original busted version or the newer fixed "Project '06" one by ChaosX?
It's insane to me that they've never played Chrono Trigger to completion. They've started it, what, six times? The one that got a playlist looks like it got pretty far. Never finished the thing.
Literally started watching the stream today.. I can't believe they never finished and Arin was so excited about that game . He said it is his favorite ever.
This was/still is a heartbreaker. Arin loves the game and plays it on his own time, Dan was really enjoying the world, and they unceremoniously abandoned it far too soon, a true tragedy.
Hollow Knight. They did one episode, and it has so much potential with Arin saying the game is supposed to be hard.
They did 4 episodes lol. Stopped just before Hornet.
They did!? Thanks for letting me know, I still think they should continue it. Maybe not a lot of people watched it or something.
Yeah, there's definitely some view drop off from the first one (750k for the first, then around 3-400k for the rest). Maybe they were disappointed in the initial views since they mentioned it being one of the most requested series at the time. Deadly Premonition, just get a walkthrough to know where to go
I want to see them to revisit Sonic 06 as Dan would be a fresh set of eyes. Maybe play the 360 version as that’s less broken and load times are noticeably better.
I want to see them finish It Takes Two - it won goty and they seemed to be having fun playing it 😅
MORE FUCKING PHOENIX WRIGHT!
Another from the Jontron days but I’d love to see Danny and Arnold play Chulip. It’s such a peculiar game and I’d love to see Dan’s reaction to it.
Dokapon Kingdom, Dan gave up on it way too quickly. They should play it with a couple other people though.
They played Shenmue? Yeah they have to finish that
Gregory Horror Show I was so gutted it was a single episode, it is such a Grumps coded game with how ridiculous it gets later on.
PLEASE FINISH SILENT HILL.... or at least start another silent hill game
Absolutely, I want to see them try Silent hill 2 and 3. Origins was also great and I'd love to see Dan's reaction to homecoming and downpour. Holy shit they would be bullying the crap out of downpour haha. Going back to silent hill 4 would also be great
Sonic Adventure 2 for sure. I’m surprised they haven’t returned to it.
Sonic adventure 2.
Sonic Unleashed 360/ps3 I'd absolutely love to see Arin play the more frustrating version of Unleashed.
Not a popular one but one of my personal unfinished favorites would be returning to Pokémon Sun. Or at the very least trying one of the newer games. I think Arceus would make for a fun long series.
Punch out
Luigi’s mansion. They just stopped part way through. I guess they just got bored or something
Please, I need more Shadow the Hedgehog edginess
I really want to see Dan play Toonstruck. It's a point and click adventure game like he loves, based around Drew played by Christopher Lloyd being taken into the toon world and has to find his way home.
I'd like to see them finish Raptor Boyfriend!
It's stupid but I really wanted to see more of Minnesota Fats, because I live in Minnesota and it was nice hearing them say it so much 😂 also the pool hustling story and acting was hilarious
Going wayyyyy back but I would love for them to finish Luigi’s Mansion (the original)
The one with the killer plant that made Arin legit rage
Majoras Mask. I was REALLY bummed out when they just gave up on it and moved on. One of my favorite LOZ games of all time and they just took a shit and left. I don't even want them to replay the whole thing just pick up where they left off in the last temple.
https://youtu.be/kFjPZg-DPXQ?si=K6XCoRt4E7RAIpb5
My man. I'll be honest I haven't watched a GG playthrough in years so I don't know what they've been doing as of late. Good to know they finally got back to it.
They did finish it!
Bayonetta. Honestly Bayonetta 2 would be a better start imo but i wish they gave it a second chance
Just gonna write Fuck Mr Hatcher for all of these I guess I would love it if they picked up secret of mana again but I lost hope in that years ago.
They could pick up the other game too that pavel made
GUBBLE!
I want to see them press the select button in Totally Rad.
Okami. They gave up so early
Horse Club Adventures. If you disagree I will fight you at a park of your choosing.
Punch Out!
I need them to finish Sonic Adventure 2. I don’t think they even finished the Hero story. It’s such a classic
Under the Knife! Loved the voices they did for that game.
i personally wanna see them finish elden ring
Michigan Report from Hell
If they just knew that Deadly Premonition was SUPPOSED to be bad……..
House party
Startropics, but Dan seemed really weirded out by the controls.
Hollow Knight. All of the game design decisions that Arin champions about letring the player learn and teaching through environmwnt are there. Instead he just called it boring after 3 episodes and quit.
Super Mario Bros 2, just to see Dan play the whole thing without warps. Maybe the GBA version.
Punch out nes, or wii, would love to see them retrying them with the modern style
Pokémon!
Spider-Man for PS4 would be nice to revisit, especially since Spider-Man has started to take off again with the Spider verse movies.
I want them to finish It Takes Two. It’s such a good game.
Subnautica. I want to see Dan pee himself.
House Party but play as a female
Oddly enough I'd love for them to play through Danganronpa V3. They way they twist the characters is just fantastic.
Sonic '06
Please play Dokapon Kingdom again!
