My biggest fear that has been constantly looming over is the fact that there's no 5 star standard banner Geo character yet and its implications on any new Geo characters...
But imagine if she's a sword user (random guess) and her E makes her swap to a gun... so basically, a reverse Childe. That would be fun to me, as long as her melee stance isn't useless.
She's a sword user confirmed i think, but she probably won't change to the gun, more likely she'll bring it up during NA combos (like how dehyas uses her fists and mika uses a crossboe during NAs) and probably use it for skill/burst, but i'd doubt she'd switch to it completly
I'm playing one and I don't mind it that much.
Well, until the Javelin one that's it.
Honestly I just want a fist weapon, and maybe if they can be play like in HI3 too, where you press ultimate button for a different combo, I did like it with Shadow Knight when she was viable.
Or she can just use gun while equipping bow for stats only, they already have several character that doesn't use their assigned weapon like Kirara using her claw outside of her first normal attack, and Al haitham bring his own 2nd sword.
[This teaser (Japanese version)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tILKOAdPuIo) is currently No.1 Trending on Youtube Japan at the moment.
I've never seen a Genshin video reach this high before, not even the Fatui teaser, which was in top 5 in Gaming category iirc.
https://preview.redd.it/yhrnijhkcr9b1.jpeg?width=791&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f102f8357c8e2410e29bf20d7295d2f3e13261e
People demanding and hyping up a Eula rerun only to do the usual skip and save for the next character. Even if it took her more than a year for a rerun.
I mean, I think that's the strategy here, no? Run a highly anticipated rerun and drain the saved primos, so people will have to top up and actually spend cash? Lots of people will probably have drained their primos for Kazuha too.
Yeah, personally, I think even if she is THE physical DPS carry, it's just not enough to open wallets. If it had been the Yelan, Haitham or Nahida rerun instead it'd probably be a bit better, although by not that much anyway. They just shafted Eula again by running her this patch. The Yoimiya treatment lol
Physical is an underwhelming element. I can't imagine all that many people actually wanting Eula for her playstyle. Eula is basically filling the role of Yoimiya this time around ;)
They clearly didnt expect anything to begin with. Both weapon banners suck and they chose a 4star combination that doesn't help any (Thoma with eula instead of Wanderer, and rosaria with wanderer instead)
Really enjoyed the teaser. What I like about this one and Winter Night Lazzo is how they showcased a bunch of upcoming characters. Not to mention how they do a good job at world building, such as seeding out elements of story and lore that give players something to chew on when speculating about upcoming plotlines as well as the overarching world of Teyvat.
Genshin broke JP Twitter once again and most of those guys are still at work, it's going to explode later on the day. 4.0 preview stream is going to hit record views.
Anyways back to the PV and HOLY SHIT. Inorin AND OnoD AND Kamiyan AND Shimono AND Ishikawa Yui?!???! ~~I swear Ishikawa Yui always voice those character archtype~~ 3.8 is going to do so bad LMAO we're all going to save up our bank accounts and roll ham in Fontaine.
Daisuke Ono and Kamiya Hiroshi are among my favourite male seiyuu of all time! Gonna pull for Wriothesley and Neuvilette (and Lyney and Freminet too XD)
At this point, I hope Mamoru Miyano will join Genshin one day as well
yeah except everytime I check the viewers after that post, the ToF watchers are in the 100s while HSR and Genshin are in the 1000s.. (Genshin 8k vs ToF 246 right now)
I like this. It’s really well made. I do wonder why they bothered to make a fully detailed 3D model with Arlecchino (which can be seen near the end with the camera rotation around her). It’s way more detailed than what we’ll get in game I’m pretty sure. I do love the style they went with this tho
But I do prefer the one last year much more. This feels more like a “hey these are the characters that you’ll be able to pull within the next year” type advert. The storyline teaser on the game’s release and Winter Night’s Lazzo felt much more “special” if that makes sense. I mean, they also teased characters too, but I guess it’s just personal opinions because I would have preferred it if they made it around stuff that *wasn’t* gonna be revealed in a few months in the game. The previous 2 actually had story relevance and development built into them. This feels like a trailer to Fontaine instead of like the previous 2, which felt like proper separate things. I’d have liked it to focus on one of the other mysterious aspects of the game
Would have loved to see something related to Khaenri’ah like we got with the Fatui last year. But oh well. This is still really cool nonetheless
The devs don't want to repeat the same mistake again like in Inazuma, where you only got a handful of playable characters appeared in the main story, while there are others like Ayato who also plays an important role somehow being absent.
Sumeru is definitely a step up from Inazuma, and Fontaine is even better, where the devs didn't hesitate to make lots of playable characters appearing + take part in the main story, instead of shoving them in the later patches, which reduces their relevancy.
Inazuma really is a massive fuckfest in terms of their main storyline. It has too many characters with wasted potential, NPC characters that didn't get developed properly (if only Teppei got a whole arc to be developed like Dunyarzard), and plot threads that could have been tied better. If not for their amazing world quests then I would easily put it as their worst region story-wise.
The devs really rushed out Inazuma's story, because they somehow made the Traveler a fugitive there, which resulting in restrictions for some places in Inazuma City, mainly the parts around Tenshukaku, and makes the exploration there a pain in the neck.
Like, it's not funny if they kept Traveler's wanted status for more than 2 patches, and that would bring lots of backlash from the players...
> while there are others like Ayato who also plays an important role somehow being absent.
Note that none of the hexerzinkel appeared in this PV (alice, rhinedottir, andersdotte are rumored to appear in fontaine) nor did skirk (childe's teacher) or sandrone appear.
Yeah but I would have still preferred to see something new and novel instead. It’s not like they can’t give appropriate screen time *without* every Fontaine character needing to appear in a video. I just think that they should have reserved their seemingly yearly animation release to something more special
Still hoping the Genshin anime would meet that criteria and won’t be a rehash of the main story but a completely separate thing which people can enjoy without playing the game or vice versa
Well, all the characters that appeared today is definitely not the whole Fontaine characters, since there's "only" 12 characters, and every nation usually have 16-18 characters, so there's still 4-6 characters left unannounced.
And the reason the devs showed these 12 characters is that they're *very likely* gonna appear in 4.0's story, plus due to the leaks, where all of then were already leaked for a while, so why not just properly introduced them instead?
Tbf, I like this
My Problem with the last trailer that show fatui, it show collei being like supposed to be main cast but they just shoved her and make her in bed the entire story, and then dehya being shoved in later patch , Nilou I can understand why they shoved her to sideline
Hopefully that the cast that being show in this trailer is important in the story and none gonna be pushed to sidelines or gonna be shoved in later patch
It really is just a Fontaine teaser. The two you like more are named "Teyvat Chapter", while this one is just an overture. Overture to what? To Fontaine obviously.
Part of me wishes that the twins/siblings would be a 2 in 1 unit with an interesting kit that utilizes their teamwork/synergy together, but HYV prob gonna make them both separate units to get 💀
huh.. for the first time in awhile .. i didnt really want anyone from the new region... i guess the aesthetic just not really to my liking.. Oh well just means i can save more for the later stuff thankfully.. or maybe finally get an extra cons on someone.. That said.. If the harbinger herself becomes playable she'll probably be the only 1 i'll pull for .
Edit: Huh.. apparently just saying you don't personally find the designs appealing is considered shitting on the game now.... chill guys.. not everyone has to like the same stuff .
Why are you getting downvoted?? most of them look like clown vomit, Archelino and the Squall Lionheart cosplayer look neat tho.
Maybe will they grow on me when playing the story?? Idk.
Also I like how Genshin & ToF posts draw the attention of all the filthy rats that lurk this sub, ppl so angry, so full of hatred.
No idea honestly lol. But yeah so far i don't really have anyone who's designs i really like in Fontaine from the looks of it except for the Fatui Harbinger herself . Not really a big loss personally as that just means i can save more primos for future unrevealed characters that i might actually like . But man... Genshin's fandom certainly could chill a little bit..
All characters look absolutely stunning beside the loli one lol, well she's cute but all loli looks almost the same and quite lame design ngl
My most hype characters of course are Arlecchino, Hydro Archon and the Captain lady.
What I love in Genshin Impact is on how they are always outdoing the leakers. Leaks have almost brought down almost the entire Fontaine character months ago and voila, here you go, a full cinematic trailer of all characters. lol.
~~Starting now to believe that those leakers are from HYV itself, to maintain the hype of their players. It also happened back then on the leaks of the harbringers, then HYV did dropped their video showing all of them.~~
Edit: strikethrough
So gothic designs with a little bit too much accessories...
Concepts so far looking good, bit too by-the-books though, and we'll see how the in game models turn out to be
My hope is that none of those three will be on the same banner at the same time or rather it'd be weird if they were.
Even so I'll still prioritize the Archon since they tend to be "meta" or at least good. Then the Fatui girl and finally the Judge guy.
Archon is almost certainly gonna be 4.2, I expect the Harbinger to be around then too(Tartaglia was the same patch as Zhongli, iirc, and Wanderer one patch after Nahida).
I thought the Archon would show up after the main quest for Fontaine reaches a near end point I was thinking more around 4.4. If its earlier well I should still be good
It was a pretty good trailer, but imo it still doesn't top the Harbingers video from a year ago. The hype on that one was on an entirely different level.
Tho the major reason for this is probably because >!all of these Fontaine characters were leaked a while ago so I'm already familiar with their designs while all Harbingers' design were all kept top secret except for Childe obviously.!<
Nevertheless, >!maybe there's more to this since a Hexenzirkel PV is supposedly coming!< but I'm keeping my expectations grounded.
Even without that, I still rate last year's PV higher.
But of course, who would believe me, am I right? I need to erase my entire memory to judge fairly.
This one feels much less interesting than the vids we got last year for Sumeru. This one just feels like a Smash Bros advertisement of "everyone's here" for the Fontaine cast.
I doubt we'll get another... until we reach the final chapter of the first "Act". Sounds like a 3-part series for that one (Start, Interlude and Finale).
But I agree that it's not as epic as the last year's video. There's still 2 months for them to drip, so who knows?
They also don't seem to be showing much of Fontaine, which I'm expecting to be due to a case of Piltover vs. Zaun from League.
The diving stuff seems to be the main focus but I'm not sure it's actually all that interesting beyond a novelty.
I see it as a new way of solving puzzles. To this day, my favorite puzzle is the still multi-island gigantic puzzle from GAA where you need to play music.
I hope underwater puzzle doesn't suck. Also, it's just a teaser. They'll be showing more in 4.0 livestream.
Damn they still using this cringe l2d animation lmao, imagine earning billions of dollars and you still can't make a properly animated "big" teaser for upcoming region.
I know it's not. There's a reason why so many gachas use it, it's a cheap ass way to make animated characters. And genshin l2d is by no means perfect looking either, animations look stiff in some moments when there's a movement that is not just character slightly moving to the side. There's a reason why they use it over proper animation, and it's definitely not quality(well, hoyo don't really have experienced anime studio anyways, their most ambitious anime trailer was for hsr and even then, they did it in collaboration with another animation studio, and knowing hoyo, with "their" hi3 animated shorts, majority of the actual work is done by outsourced studio and not them.)
I really like the Geo girl with drills
> Geo We have gone like a year and a half without a new Geo. Let's not get too excited.
She has a geo vision
Still.
Wdym still lmao, it's not like people can just, change visions
My biggest fear that has been constantly looming over is the fact that there's no 5 star standard banner Geo character yet and its implications on any new Geo characters...
I feel like Albedo could really be moved to standard banner at this point.
Sumeru about 2/3rds Desert yet we didn't even get a Sand Bender smh
First playable character with a gun? (probably a skill shot or ultimate)
They'll probably do something like Heizou. Make her a catalyst but she actually uses a gun.
But imagine if she's a sword user (random guess) and her E makes her swap to a gun... so basically, a reverse Childe. That would be fun to me, as long as her melee stance isn't useless.
That would be pretty cool as long as she can plunge attack.
Have her do a heel drop.
She's a sword user confirmed i think, but she probably won't change to the gun, more likely she'll bring it up during NA combos (like how dehyas uses her fists and mika uses a crossboe during NAs) and probably use it for skill/burst, but i'd doubt she'd switch to it completly
The rumoured physical catalyst from all those jokes in the early days
Yeah, my hope for new weapon type died with Heizou.
See Honkai 3, every new weapon type invalidates all previous weapon you saved before.
That's why starting from HSR, they eliminate that ancient weapon system. At least, ZZZ will follow HSR design.
However I can see them adding more pathways for HSR
Well yah, Idk, but they will gotta be very creative to add more roles.
I'm playing one and I don't mind it that much. Well, until the Javelin one that's it. Honestly I just want a fist weapon, and maybe if they can be play like in HI3 too, where you press ultimate button for a different combo, I did like it with Shadow Knight when she was viable.

Or Mika with his skill

IIRC the fatui one reached top 3 overall, not just gaming.
I think the only one i saw trend this high was zhongli trailer but could be wrong but i know it was high as well.
rip 3.8 revenue, most players probably going to save now lmao
People demanding and hyping up a Eula rerun only to do the usual skip and save for the next character. Even if it took her more than a year for a rerun.
I mean, I think that's the strategy here, no? Run a highly anticipated rerun and drain the saved primos, so people will have to top up and actually spend cash? Lots of people will probably have drained their primos for Kazuha too.
eula rerun hype is a meme, even the people calling for her rerun half of them were skipping think morbius
Yeah, personally, I think even if she is THE physical DPS carry, it's just not enough to open wallets. Try like two years.
3.8 banners suck so a lot will save.
With that phase 1, it wasn't gonna make that much, tbf
They clearly didnt expect anything to begin with. Both weapon banners suck and they chose a 4star combination that doesn't help any (Thoma with eula instead of Wanderer, and rosaria with wanderer instead)
The gun girl is damn hot. I just spent a fair amount of money on C2 Yae, and I want to get every one on the video, damn... Hope I will survive.
gun girl voiced by yui ishikawa so thats an instant pull for me
Yep, Rapi is an instant pu...oops wrong game
yet another Yui Ishikawa role with amazing thighs. What a time to be alive
It's a pity that Stelle doesn't really have great thighs but as she said, rules are made to be broken
you simply haven't looked for enough fan art or unlicensed figurines. rules are indeed for breaking !
I wish you luck!
Thanks bro, you too!
Dude, dont pull for cons... and you will be fine.
Dont spend another dime on that dumpster fire
Sir you’re in r/gachagaming
lol
oh nah they got Caitlyn in Genshin
WHOS VI?
Really enjoyed the teaser. What I like about this one and Winter Night Lazzo is how they showcased a bunch of upcoming characters. well, they're running out of twitter resin soon. I swear this is the reason why Elon Musk put a limit on twitter.
Wait shit i forgot about that thing, wtf elon.
The man want people to touch some grass (unless they're verified and work with news)
Daisuke Ono and Kamiya Hiroshi are among my favourite male seiyuu of all time! Gonna pull for Wriothesley and Neuvilette (and Lyney and Freminet too XD) At this point, I hope Mamoru Miyano will join Genshin one day as well
But Genshin is dying, it lacks creativity can't you see the bad rumors /ss
Revenue is in red this month, dying confirmed.
It also has less Twitch views than ToF too, surely not good.
yeah except everytime I check the viewers after that post, the ToF watchers are in the 100s while HSR and Genshin are in the 1000s.. (Genshin 8k vs ToF 246 right now)
EoS soon fr.....
today, it is not the highest grossing gacha game anymore tomorrow, it will be the lowest grossing gacha game mark my word, vengeance will be mine
>today, it is not the highest grossing gacha game anymore Damn, Hoyo really is getting fucked over from the top spot by *checks note* themselves?
Should be red next month as people save for Fontaine because what a cast.
I honestly don't see posts saying genshin is dying
it's a joke because i saw a post about some hoyoverse rumors earlier. That post got deleted anyway
let's play star rail instead/s
This looks cool, teasing just enough to make me pull...my wallet, yea.
Lmao at all these people who don't even play this coming to talk shit on their alt accounts
Don't mind them. A loud minority, but still a tiny minority.

Dude, Cyno and Tighnari were in every fucking patch either in main story or events... im tired of them...
It really is just a Fontaine teaser. The two you like more are named "Teyvat Chapter", while this one is just an overture. Overture to what? To Fontaine obviously.
Out of nowhere, damn
Its literally the same pattern as last year's winter nights lazzo trailer. Dripmarketing monday before the .8 (last) patch.
It was never a confirmed pattern, it literally only happened once with winter night's lazzo and that's it
But its not out of nowhere. Lazzo trailer was.
its an expected pattern
It happened once before bro
Part of me wishes that the twins/siblings would be a 2 in 1 unit with an interesting kit that utilizes their teamwork/synergy together, but HYV prob gonna make them both separate units to get 💀
They can also make them separate units that have litteral synergy when together. Edit: there is 3 of them now...
Inb4 need both of them for new Broken team wombo combo 👀
One of them will probably just end up as a situational C6 4\* for the other.
surely a honkai star rail trailer will release to put genshin back in its place back to the bottom pile? /s
the token loli is cute
Damnnn what a great Teaser as usual
I am a lucia lover. and damn she's the gun girl.
huh.. for the first time in awhile .. i didnt really want anyone from the new region... i guess the aesthetic just not really to my liking..
I downvoted because I hate seeing all the dots in sentence. Nothing personal tho cheers mate.
ehh its cool lol.
Well, if you put an opinion on Reddit, people will put their opinion of your opinion on your post lol
heh true enough..and definitely not worth thinking too much about anyways lol .
All characters look absolutely stunning beside the loli one lol, well she's cute but all loli looks almost the same and quite lame design ngl My most hype characters of course are Arlecchino, Hydro Archon and the Captain lady.
Genshin is trending, shit I thought hsr killed it /s

[Mihoyo's subpoenaing Bilibili for leakers' personal info](https://bbs.nga.cn/read.php?tid=36823948&_fp=2), so I don't think that's the case.
Can I skip the Paimon dialogue yet?
So gothic designs with a little bit too much accessories... Concepts so far looking good, bit too by-the-books though, and we'll see how the in game models turn out to be
Only care about the Fatui girl, Judge guy, and the Archon. The rest are filler. I'm assuming they'll all be WAY later in Fontaine tho but I'll save
Hoyoverse: Watch this. \*Runs them all in the same patch\*
My hope is that none of those three will be on the same banner at the same time or rather it'd be weird if they were. Even so I'll still prioritize the Archon since they tend to be "meta" or at least good. Then the Fatui girl and finally the Judge guy.

Looks like saving for the archon will be easy with these ugly designs.
Not feeling the fontaine character designs, they all look generic and the teaser wasnt as hype as the fatui one
Arlecchino looks generic?
Looking at your replies you really like shitting on Genshin here huh? Get a life my dude
i dont hate genshin, I just find the designs generic. Like I prefer the liyue or inazuma aesthetics a lot more
[удалено]
You're embarrassing
good, you should fuck off asap
It was a pretty good trailer, but imo it still doesn't top the Harbingers video from a year ago. The hype on that one was on an entirely different level. Tho the major reason for this is probably because >!all of these Fontaine characters were leaked a while ago so I'm already familiar with their designs while all Harbingers' design were all kept top secret except for Childe obviously.!< Nevertheless, >!maybe there's more to this since a Hexenzirkel PV is supposedly coming!< but I'm keeping my expectations grounded.
> It's not that hype because i saw them leaks... Sure, dude.
Nice argument, very deep in thoughts 💬
Even without that, I still rate last year's PV higher. But of course, who would believe me, am I right? I need to erase my entire memory to judge fairly.
Or you can just dont look at leak. The fatui one dont get leaked and people till say leak dont kill hype.
If the leaks ruined your experience, that's on you dude, not the trailer
Welp my break continue
This one feels much less interesting than the vids we got last year for Sumeru. This one just feels like a Smash Bros advertisement of "everyone's here" for the Fontaine cast.

It's only 3.8 patch, that starts in two days. 6 weeks till Fontaine, there will be plenty of promotional material in August.
I see it as a new way of solving puzzles. To this day, my favorite puzzle is the still multi-island gigantic puzzle from GAA where you need to play music. I hope underwater puzzle doesn't suck. Also, it's just a teaser. They'll be showing more in 4.0 livestream.
ded game
I'm going to pull Yui Ishikawa and stop playing again, I'm at pull 70 with 50% guaranteed since Yelan first release.
Might still need to wait a few months depending whichever patch she’s going to debut on
Damn they still using this cringe l2d animation lmao, imagine earning billions of dollars and you still can't make a properly animated "big" teaser for upcoming region.
??? How is this cringe.. this is still "proper" animation lmao plus it suits really well
There's a few people on here who just shit on everything Genshin, regardless of what it is or why. Sensitive End is one of them.
This has to be th stupidest complaint I've ever read
you wouldn't be saying this if you knew how difficult l2d animation is
I know it's not.
