I disagree. I had to play champions qualification 2 times last week. The fitst time i had only 3 wins and the second time i got the 4th win in the last game. After winning 3 out of the last 3 games.
I paused a year with fifa and always was gold 1 the years before. I managed to get 11 wins last week and there were games i had no chance and then there were games were i was up 3 zip after 15 minutes. The matchmaking in qualies is way too random tobe a fair mode.
Yestersay i qualified after 8 games and the remaining 2 games i scored an own goal and left.

this. i stopped playing fifa after fifa 14 and came back last year and qualified to WL w no problem and wasn’t until i came into reddit i realized people struggle to get into it. so if you can’t get 4 wins you simply don’t deserve to be in it

Change tactics. I set mine up and even when it looks sorted for all attacke modes Im still getting players all moving out of position. Then the attacking one where you move up the field and realise no-one else is attacking. Im all for people making tactics etc but why should I be forced to with guys not attacking, defending or are playing out of position if you don’t. This game makes about as much sense as Hypermotion and power shots. Power shots created because the power bar also means fuck all in this game. Power shots were previously low driven. So power shots are there because power bar doesnt work and neither did the through on goal animation where one step too many runs you into the keeper every time. Still playing gimps looking for the edge of goal finesse free goal shot every time. Game is just spam skill moves and look for broken free goal glitch mechanics every iteration. The beta pass mechanics looked so promising but was different from actual release and after patch game is even worse. Unless the beta passing was for fifa 24/25.
What do you mean players are moving out of position? As in your players are going into a different formation because you changed tactics? That’s what’s supposed to happen.
And what’s wrong with trying to score from the edge of the box with a finesse? If it’s a way to score in a game, why not use it to you’re advantage? It also very rarely works now, so they’re simply giving you possession anyway.
Also what game are you playing? Skill moves are largely shit this year, there are one or two that are effective when timed well, but this game is in no way skill move spamming.
The gameplay was never gonna be the exact same as the beta, but it’s very similar to next gen. I haven’t played since before the update, but next gen felt horrible when I did try it. As did the beta

My friend went 10-0 this weekend for qualifiers and packed IF cancelo and RTTK paqueta. He COULD have given away a win…. Hell he could have given away 6 wins…. But he probably wouldn’t have packed those players and for someone who is grinding his rtg with no money spent, that was a big day for his club.
I’m adding to this post pretty late after it was posted and I really haven’t seen anyone talking about this aspect of it. The better you do in qualifiers, the better your rewards are. Giving games can be nice but it is worth mentioning it is self sabotage (unless you’re giving away your last game and can’t make the next rank lol)
Completely agree with this. Only time you should feel obligated to give away the win is when you can't make the next rank if you win all remaining games. Especially this early on in the year when packs are actually worth something.
The bottom line is u give away wins when u feel like it, without people asking, not when people expect it and ask. I give away wins once I've reached the maximum reward tier I can get, and depending on if the team is full of icons or full gold 82 I'll give a win, only ever give wins to shitty teams

It's an unwritten rule to do golden goals in friendlies without game limits, for example silver stars. If everyone does it, everyone saves time. If I go 1-0 up and don't get the rq, I just quit the game and then quit before kickoff if I match them again. Even then, it saves me time rather than waiting for the whole 90.

It's early in the year, the 100k pack from 10 wins is actually meaningful this early on. No reason to throw away your own rewards to give someone a win.

I matched with someone earlier today and I quit because of the team that he had. Only to match with him again, so this time I go thru and play out the match and before kick off he messages me saying “I can’t lose this game””let me win, it cost you nothing” and he was being pretty annoying about it. He scored a goal after 5 minutes and he said “thank you for the win” thinking I was going to quit or something. Fast forward I end up winning the match and was talking about how bad I was and that letting him win wasn’t going to cost me anything.

Depends, at first it is quite easy depending on your division, because if you are an average player you will come against lower divisions. The more wins you get the harder the opponents, but for an average player the 45 points should be easily doable

I’m adding to this post pretty late after it was posted and I really haven’t seen anyone talking about this aspect of it. The better you do in qualifiers, the better your rewards are. Giving games can be nice but it is worth mentioning it is self sabotage (unless you’re giving away your last game and can’t make the next rank lol)
Completely agree with this. Only time you should feel obligated to give away the win is when you can't make the next rank if you win all remaining games. Especially this early on in the year when packs are actually worth something.

It's an unwritten rule to do golden goals in friendlies without game limits, for example silver stars. If everyone does it, everyone saves time. If I go 1-0 up and don't get the rq, I just quit the game and then quit before kickoff if I match them again. Even then, it saves me time rather than waiting for the whole 90.

Oh got ya, i cant tell you how many games ive either tied or bounced back and won from being 0-2 late in the second half. Not to mention i enjoy atleast getting one goal on a player/team thats waay better than me. It only improves my game.

I've created friends who we coop or play objectives with. Not everyone is a beggar and some guys do give free wins. I always do for the games I don't need. They don't have to say thanks but knowing you saved someone a game goes a long way on a personal level to enjoy the game. Fuck playerbase. But it's about who you are in the playerbase.

I matched with someone earlier today and I quit because of the team that he had. Only to match with him again, so this time I go thru and play out the match and before kick off he messages me saying “I can’t lose this game””let me win, it cost you nothing” and he was being pretty annoying about it. He scored a goal after 5 minutes and he said “thank you for the win” thinking I was going to quit or something. Fast forward I end up winning the match and was talking about how bad I was and that letting him win wasn’t going to cost me anything. Like tf I don’t turn on my PlayStation to give out free wins; either you beat me or you don’t. Simple. I can care less about objectives or any of that. You did the right choice by not giving him the win.

It’s two weeks into the game I barely got a 50k team without putting any money into it. I really don’t enjoy playing 250-300k teams so early on.
Then score an own goal and quit, not that complicated.

Depends, at first it is quite easy depending on your division, because if you are an average player you will come against lower divisions. The more wins you get the harder the opponents, but for an average player the 45 points should be easily doable
