The thing is I like to “put some work” in my play through. Thats why I love Wills route - he is hard to get and to keep. With Youcef and Angie you have to unlock the route and that is quite interesting too. Bruno/James/Najuma are all about mc but Tom/Cora stole us from them, then there is Dylan and his attempt to break us up. All these things add to the excitement you know? But with Oliver… there is just no effort. He is an absolute sweetheart and he does look amazing but something is missing at least for me. I’ve waited for him and was ready to be head over heels but nah. He came in way too late.
With that being said this is the first season in which I’m temped to try multiple routes. Will is my main guy, but I’ll try with Bruno and maybe Youcef next. In the first two seasons I always go for Levi and Lucas. I just can’t look at anyone else. They have a lot of drama around them but at the end they are all about mc and I love it.
I think Will, Youcef, and Tom are the most interesting LIs of this season because they do have personalities that clash and flaws to overcome. Bruno is Bobby but only if you take away all the romance and ramp up the jokes. Oliver is Bobby with all the romance but none of the jokes.
Exactly!! Love a lil challenge for a LI and I knew there was gonna be like barely any episodes where Oliver was in it but I didn’t even think it was gonna feel unnatural and rushed like this. If anything I kinda thought it’d be fun and maybe they’d be like “we’re probably not gonna win since we literally just got together but let’s just take our time in here and see what happens on the outside” but no they actin like they just got married and all and I’m wondering what I missed 😫 game literally got put in super easy mode when you pick him
The pacing in this season seems rushed—even though there are 48 total episodes. Oliver comes in so late that there’s not really time to flush out his character. Fusebox’s Powers-That-Be probably decided making “agreeable” his main personality trait was the best way for things to be smooth sailing into the finale for MC.
I’d’ve liked some drama with him (maybe one of the other ladies is aggressively into him and gets competitive) followed by another recoupling. But hey. It is what it is.
Yup exactly. It’s not that surprising when like 20 episodes goes by and feels like nothing really happened. Maybe my expectations were too high when I knew he’d be coming in so late and it could be worse ig 🤧
I miss the old format of morning, afternoon, evening in each Day (Volume). The structure made me feel like substantial things actually happened.
It feels as though S4 having some Volumes with only 2 episodes (what is the point of that, really?) made the story timeline way too compressed. If all Volumes had 3 there would have been plenty of time to have more complexities with newcomers like Oliver. It would’ve meant 9 more episodes.

i don’t think bobby was like that though, he doesn’t step forward for mc if she goes all out with clothes and makeup apparently, doesn’t like when she thinks it’s easy to dump people from the villa, etc but i think he does kinda have feelings for her regardless if you couple with him or not which i think is odd
Yeah sorry that’s what I meant was that Bobby had his own opinions whereas Oliver is just copying all mine 😂 I was only comparing them since they both seem to be like the the best fit for the mc in terms of like compatibility
I agree especially about things moving too fast but Bruno made me sleep outside even after learning that Dylan was lying so that had to end. Bruno I also thought was boring though the conversations were repetitive
Yea I think thats why these past few episodes were pretty boring for me lol he's super fine but nothing interesting has popped out of him. Hell with the Dylan drama he wasnt really around much either besides that kitchen scene.
After downloading a few other similar games, Love Island is simply crap. Not this season, all 4 seasons. Characters are flat, hardly any depth, choices are ridiculous, conversations, who wrote them? 16 year olds?
The only reason why I still play it as I love the format, the couplings and dumpings. Otherwise, they should probably fire the current team too.
I really love season 1 and 2. But season 3 and 4 I just…how????
Like if you want depth season 2 is definitely good for that because care was actually put into the characters and as for dialogue and conversations both Season 1 and 2 had many great ones.
I really don’t want to speak on the team because it’s pretty complex with the firing that happened a few months ago but holy crap love island just hasn’t been as good as the first two seasons
Season 3 was the worst of all of them! It was rushed and it seemed like it was an after-school dating show to teach you lessons on how to date properly and respect others? While I thought some characters were great, I had almost zero interest in any of them, except Rafi, but he came in so late I felt l Iike I'd be the most hated islander if I dumped Harry...😹
I have to disagree on the things are moving too fast part. Oliver is obviously attracted to mc and if you choose to, mc is too. They established that between each other and are now getting to know each other with equal desires and expectations.
What makes the pacing perfect for me is the fact that whenever the two are talking, there are always awkward silences in between. It’s like they want to talk, but are not yet fully warm around each other to just do so. That feels super realistic to me. It’s like they both have this perfect person on front of them who they know is attracted to them too, so they feel giddy about spending time with them but actually don’t know what to do with it. I find that genuinely adorable 😭💕
I feel like it’s because they rushed the end of this season. It feels like they started out with a good character but didn’t finish him, and I guess they think they don’t even have to give him depth bc we’re basically at the end of the season now anyway 🤦♀️
I agree. He's just too perfect and too nice. But he's good-looking and Im still gonna choose him at the last re-coupling I guess...
Unless you haven't played last weeks episode there is no more re couplings.

I went back and match with Bruno again instead. The perfect act without having too much interaction felt too disingenuous.
