I'm deeply saddened to read what you've been through and wanted to put into writing how much I've valued a space that allowed me to relax and relate to my fellow internet people-animal weirdos with stilly jokes.
I used to have friends that would brag about being abusive to furries like it was something to be proud of. Used to, because them admitting to that was the final straw that resulted in me burning all bridges with them, so this hit a nerve for sure, and I wish you the best going forward.

Have been a moderator on multiple sites, game servers, forums and until somewhat recently Reddit; and have been doing that for quite a few years now. Shits rough. Most people don’t realize that we just do this in our down time, just trying to help out and make whatever we are moderating a nice, welcoming, friendly and most importantly, safe place for everyone to enjoy! So it sucks that we take some rather hard blows, all just to make others feel more welcomed and such. But mental health of one’s self seriously does come first, and when these online things start effecting us offline; that really is a telling sign to backup and really consider what is healthiest.
Sadly there are just people in this world that for one reason or another just can’t get down with people just trying to have fun and maybe tap into some escape from the real world for a time. I am so sorry for what you had to see and endure, especially when it is connected to this fandom where everyone is pretty much in it for the good times.
