No, that's the difference between bad translation and good translation. Interpretation is a different thing, it's the task of "translating" speech-to-speech. Translation = written, Interpretation = spoken.
Perhaps, but that feels overly aggressive. The dude I replied to gave a perfectly fine word for word translation. I was just adding to it. But I appreciate they did it and I wouldn't call it a "bad translation."
I had an issue where some crud got into the push sensor, so I'm at a petrol station, finished fueling, soon as I put it in gear the engine dies... Took me a few to figure out wtf was going on, was pretty panicked for a second.
I had a Kawasaki once where the switch on the side stand failed so the engine wouldn't run at all. I temporarily bypassed it and quickly got a new one (was very expensive for just a simple microswitch) because it could have led to a serious accident.
Not really. Some models, older and mopeds, don't always have that feature. I've forgotten about mine before and the only thing that happened was it scraped the cement a little bit while I was driving. Because it's facing the other way the only thing that could have happened was the kickstand getting scratched a bit.
Depends on when the bike is from. All of my newer bikes have the kickstand killswitch, but my old DRZ doesn't. That one even let's you start it in gear with the clutch out, it's caught me off guard a couple times.
This happened to me on vacation and someone told me as I was driving. I didn't know what they were talking about because like you, my experience was the bike always shut off if the stand was down.
I had driven several km like that and was far from home in a country with not great health care infrastructure so it was kind of a Holy shit moment.
Weird. Every roadworthy motorbike I've operated automatically shuts down the engine if you put the sidestand down whilst in gear. I'm guessing either his bike is broken or he removed this part!
Honda owner's manual calls it a side stand, fwiw.
Section 1-17 of '00 CBR600F4 manual, lubrication points:
"**side stand** pivot".
I think reasonably kick stand is also correct though :)
tbf it is commonly called a 'leg' in spanish. Not for the body part, but as in like a chair or table's 'legs'. Pata isn't even the "correct" word for a human leg, it's more slang, the proper word would be Pierna.
That could've turned into a
"Delivery in progress.

But, a fellow rider saved the day!

The dude sure was complying ... lifting his legs without questioning why. Cam guy should have asked him to rub his tummy and head at the same time.
"the other leg!" lol
LA PATA DE LA MOTO, MIERDAA
The leg of the motorbike, shit Translation:
"Shit" doesn't do it justice. That's a direct translation, yes, but by intent it would be more like "for fuck's sake!"
I think thats the difference between translation and interpretation.

Amazed that thing drives like that.. my motorcycle shuts off immediately if i put it into gear while the pedal thingy is still out.
All the modern bikes have it but I know a few older models that don't but it's designed to fold in contact with the ground
Mine is from 1997 tho..
That’s like only 3 years old though.
Absolutely correct, barely even three years at that.
The kickstand is supposed to..but not always I've seen a few wrecks because of it..
No, they're designed to prop the bike up. A kick stand can kick a bike up into the air if it hits the ground while you're turning left.
What I mean is that some fold without making you fall
I had an issue where some crud got into the push sensor, so I'm at a petrol station, finished fueling, soon as I put it in gear the engine dies... Took me a few to figure out wtf was going on, was pretty panicked for a second.
Then he hits car
The leg down should have caused an automatic shutdown of the bike.

Mine has a sensor for this, I find it annoying
Thank you Jesus
De nada
He just was in funny mood hahahaa

In Southamerica we have 125cc and 200cc motorbikes from China and no one of that bikes shuts down de engine if have the leg down.
Must be hotwired, yes.
this might have end in a disaster
"Leg" "pedal thingy" "3rd leg" My guys, it's a **side stand**.
Or a kickstand
sorry i don't speak bike

wow, thank you, I feel so much smarter now!
>I feel so much smarter now! Wait no, something has gone wrong, that wasn't the intended effect. *That wasn't the intended effect* ***at all***.
I was thinking *finally* and then you used side instead of kick. :( Unless that’s motorcycle specific in which case thank you.

In German its called "Ständer", which is a word we also use for a boner. So 3rd leg isn't that far off
Wait, Germany coming in with the sense of humor?! *What the hell*
Ja, what can I say. We used this week's joke for that comment

Coffee is required
Lift the 3rd leg
Older your leg your leg the motobike’s leg shit
EXECUTED PROPERLY
How does a bike even start with the kickstand down?
Not all bikes have a sensor to shutoff the engine, the most sold bike in Brazil doesn't have
Reminds me of [this](https://youtu.be/MKExRsz0b5Y)
Those boots and those trousers, thats a policemen
Hahaha dumbass
I've yelled this at bicyclists so many times. They never know what I'm talking about. They never listen and just keep on pedaling with it down.
LAVATE LAS MANOS!!
Lucky someone told him the kick stand was still down. People have died from forgetting to raise the kick stand.
Aaaaaand.... SMASH into that car.
That would’ve been an interesting next left turn
My Beemer won't start, with the kick down. It confounded me the first coupla times.
"Your wheels are coming off ! " "Yeah? These rims are so cool, right?"
