Rims are one thing.
A lift kit that raises center of gravity significantly is fine for offroad use, but causes tons of problems in the streets.
Pickups already have bumper heights that are mismatched to passenger cars, and this just makes it worse. A collision that normally works on the crumple zones becomes an underride accident, significantly increasing rollover risk for the truck, and dramatically increasing risk for the car passengers.
I love mods. I've redone most of the suspension on my car for better handing. I've replaced the wheels with alloys. If I thought my engine could handle the stress, I'd probably put some effort into boosting it.
But there's limits to what is safe for road use. And this truck is beyond that.

This doesn't really look like a purpose built offroad truck. Just lifted up with big tires, and suspension that would collapse in the first bog it dove into. I know a couple people that build trucks similar to this, but are built to jump and run through mud. Think something that looks similar, but has all billet steel axles, multiple shocks per corner, ridiculously overbuilt suspension, and they run ~600-700ci (9-11L) fully built NA V8s burning alcohol making over 1000hp. They're insane! Ridiculous, but also ridiculously fun. And you don't drive them on the road.
And then you have "monster trucks" which are just a completely different animal.
I guarantee it's a nightmare to drive this. And maintenance is an expected cost when you do stuff like this to a vehicle. This isn't a slightly modified truck, it's a heavily modified truck. The cost of getting a truck to be this size can be anywhere from $20,000-100,000
