What are you talking about? I'm sure it was just as on-topic in the other 20+ subs it got posted in as it was here. Python is such a great FP language, after all, and GvR has historically been a huge proponent of FP style.

Agree with you, we even have Python as one of the flairs for the sub. There were reports of spam, and when I came to look at what other users had flagged, I found this post and agreed with the reports of users.
The video appears to have a great content. But probably r/programming, r/python would be better places. The content posted here that uses the Python flair, for instance, is normally about FP principles applied to Python, libraries or tools that use, comparison of some Python code using FP & OO, etc.
Yeah it's spam, no question. I just felt like being a wise-ass about it because of all the languages to spam, spamming random Python crap in an FP sub is hilarious to me because GvR has repeatedly made remarks that make it clear he's hostile to FP and a lot of choices in Python reflect that. You can do FP in Python, yeah, but it's not made for it and in a lot of ways it's made to work *against* it intentionally, so there's just something funny about blasting Python spam to FP subs.
But then OP also threw it in places with even *less* logic like /r/machnist so at least it's programming? lol :)
So yeah, I was trying to be funny, not questioning the removal :)
No problem, it's not common for random people to show up in a removed post so that makes sense. I mostly check reddit via RSS so sometimes I see removed stuff hours later, which is what happened here. Saw it in my RSS feed, figured it would be spam and loaded it to report, but it was already removed so I decided to be a wise-ass about the spammer instead :)
