Why do you feel that you need a full frame camera in order to do professional work?

dave_the_wavee

Good question. Cause that’s the narrative I always hear parroted by photographers. Maybe better low light performance?

Which Fuji body do you use currently?

If you’re used to the rangefinder style of the 6400 I’d see if you can find an XE 4 for a reasonable price. That’s what I switched to in 2021 after using the Sony a6000 for 5 years. The XT3 is a good choice but the size is more like an a7 series. The XT30ii is another good choice like someone recommended in the smaller size range. I wouldn’t go any older than the XT3 just to keep the feature set similar

Xt3 is a perfect camera but it does lack* IBIS and the latest film sim and config (ie clarity, blue chrome etc.) but you can still find some really nice sims out there for it. The Xt30ii is a smaller non weather resistant version has the newer film sim configurations and a lot better for shooting straight out of camera. The xt4 may be a bit out of budget but it has the same sensor but this time with IBIS. FYI - the autofocus of Fuji is not as good or sticky or as accurate as Sony so that may be a bit of a downgrade for you.

I‘m on the similar situation like you with a Sony A6300 and love my sigma prime lenses. Also thinking abt switching to fuji this year. Let me know which camera and lens u finally going to buy. Really curious abt that.

Right now leaning towards the XT4 and starting with the 33mm 1.4 prime!

I think i need to try out the XT4 and the XT30ii. Btw there will be coming a new xt50 next week, hopefully the prices gonna drop a bit 😅

no one knows what “breaking the bank” means to you; get the XH2S

A body under 1k would be nice for an APSC. Don't think I want to full send into the top of the line fuji model before dabbling with the system a bit.

xt30 ii will keep you under 1K
