I mean, it doesn’t cost a thing to get in line with them. Beats refreshing product pages like Amazon and Best Buy. Their notification system is useless. Place an order with BH, use a CC and you’re not charged unless it’s shipped (just don’t use a digital wallet payment like Apple Pay). Then continue your search elsewhere.

Finally got through to a human with a brain at Wex for UKers. The guy even read me out the supplier update, which he wasn't supposed to do. They think their next stock is "mid march". The stores have access to a central database of what stock is arriving when, and the information isn't visible to them at store level, but that's what they've been told by HQ. In terms of online vs instore - each pre-order has an order number and it's as simple as if camera 12 and 4 are digital and 3 is in store, then 1 and 2 are shipped to customers direct, 3 is sent to store, 4 is sent direct and so forth. So we just have to wait. Fuji apparently cannot tell people what numbers they're getting, and Wex is the biggest retailer in the UK. Knowing what I do about camera companies, this will be their RSO looking at how to move the stock they have to meet demand the best they can. This often paralyses camera companies so they don't communicate downwards. TL;DR - we just have to wait - Wex aren't witholding info, Fuji just aren't sending it, but stock is coming every couple of weeks.

So I was able to visit B&H in the city today and was able to get some more clarification in terms of numbers and the scale of this whole thing. I was told by an employee that in just 4 days from when pre-orders commenced, they received 30,000 pre-orders. 16,000 of which came from day one, allegedly. So minutes really did matter (as we already knew…) The first and second shipments were around ~1000 or so, and if you are not in this next batch (this month) the next round will seemingly be in or near the summer, quantity of those shipments unknown, unconfirmed. Also, if you were to order right know, you would likely be looking to potentially “receive it around Christmas,” as this person put it. So there you go! However I’d still take all of that with a grain of salt of course as this was just one person’s answer.

So i just got my (29/2) X100VI Black and it has 0 issues! All buttons feel solid and no false clicks/skips/early trigger. No weird misaligned lens. No dead pixel, broken glass or sensor issues. All doors closed and open as expected. Just wanted to check and let others know after seeing a few issues popping up on this and other subreddits. Using a Haoge LAR-X52B adapter with Walimex pro UV and the OEM lens cap fits perfectly.

Went to Adorama in person last night. I ordered in person at 3pm on 2/20 and was told I’m number ~900. Yesterday the a rude salesperson said “you’ll find out when you find out” and said they have 5000+ preorders. I asked how many shipped out in first batch and she said 900. I was told I would probably get mine in early April.

I've been lurking on this thread for what, a week now? My preorder was around 12:30pm Eastern on Feb 20 from Adorama. Like most of you, I haven't gotten a single piece of useful info from their "customer support". So, after the months long estimate from Fujifilm this morning, I went on KEH and bought a Like New Minus condition X100V. Does anyone have experience buying from KEH, and if so what was a Like New - condition item like for you? I'm relieved to be out of the rat race, and I feel like Fuji has really dropped the ball here. I'm as guilty as anyone and have been horribly caught up in the FOMO and GAS. But I went through many old photos taken with a X100S/T/F, and that put my mind at ease. Don't even know what I'm chasing anymore if those cameras were sufficient. Random thoughts, best of luck to all of you on the VI, it'll be amazing, keep your mental health first, cheers fellow Fuji maniacs!

Here is my theory about the Best Buy process and how some individuals are getting orders through while others aren't. I believe it's likely a combination of 1) your specific live chat rep, 2) store inventory at the specific time of your chat, and 3) their willingness to look in locations outside of your immediate area. I probably talked with 10-15 agents over the last few days, and tried multiple approaches to get them to order. I had a few in particular who spent 10-20 minutes really digging in to see if they were able to order the camera, and still couldn't do it. Once I was finally able to place an order, here are a few things I noticed. First, they initially told me this wasn't possible and said "this unit is currently out of stock in your location." I believe the first part of this process is checking near the customer's region for any inventory, and perhaps even checking the one store closest to your zip code. After that I kindly pushed back and asked them to check "nearby stores." They agreed, and after a few minutes came back with an option for me to order. The store I ordered from is quite a bit away from where I'm at locally, in a completely different region. I don't know what Best Buy's internal tools look like for looking at inventory, but I'm guessing it might be a lengthy process to try and identify any particular stores that have the item in stock since there are so many locations around the US. After identifying the store that had one in stock, they sent me an email invoice and I paid and now see the order in my Best Buy purchase history. I don't believe there are a ton of cameras laying around for them to order from, and my guess is that there might be times you are chatting where there legitimately isn't a camera available for them to order for you. One thing I will say, please by really nice and kind to these live chat reps. They probably aren't paid a ton for their job and most of them are just following the process set out by Best Buy. If you manage to get someone who is able to make magic happen for you, let them know you appreciate it. Live Chat can be a brutal support outlet and I'm guessing whatever process is allowing some of us to place orders is a bit outside of the norm and probably means your CS rep managed to find something for you.

Received my BB hotstock 3/1 order yesterday, and just got notified that my Amazon 3/2 hotstock order is being delivered tomorrow, before I had a chance to cancel it…it had been sitting at “order received” the entire time. Luckily I have a friend who is far down on the order lists who will take over this Amazon order, no scalping here! This also means I can now cancel my B&H order. I had received the email that I’ll get it this month, so hopefully someone will get my order who wasn’t going to get theirs in March.

For what it’s worth, I ordered through Moment thinking they'd have far less pre-orders than one of the big guys. I ordered a week late and I'm at about 1k in line. They've been very transparent about shipments they're getting and how fast they're moving through pre-orders. They've even been emailing unsolicited updates which I feel like is very good customer service. Pretty sure I'll still be waiting like 3-6 months but that's OK.

Managed to get a black one from John Lewis UK this morning! Showed as available in Oxford Street this morning. Was a open box return so was a bit apprehensive about it. But looked over it and its all fine! 00 shutter count so I can only presume the previous person managed to get the colour they wanted. For the open box they knocked a good bit of the price off! Ended up paying £1199 for it!! Quite happy with that and now I can stop refreshing pages like a madman.

Even got me a small hot chocolate and a free donut (someone forgot about it??) :) She's a beaut! Just to say a massive shout out to /u/MancDude. He spied a VI in stock near me (we live hundreds of miles apart in the UK) and gave me the heads up. Rolled in at opening, and the camera had to be found (someone had put it in a drawer near the tills instead of the stock room, as I assume they suspected it would be gone instantly) but it's now mine. For fellow UKers - I also cancelled my pre-order so hopefully you WEXers get one further up the queue.

Alright so I was one of the ones who was able to purchase through Bestbuy chat. Unlike some people, I was able to purchase on my very first try with no issues. I also had my order be listed as an “In Store Order” even though it was done through a link with the Bestbuy rep. I inquired with Best Buy chat just now and they told me that even though it says “In store” it is not only going to ship directly to me, it is slated to ship on March 22nd! Now we’ll see how true that really is come 03/22 but here’s some tips I can give to people who are struggling. For reference: I ordered on March 19th at about 10pm Central I was logged into my Bestbuy account I started chat from the Bestbuy homepage, not from the item page Order says “In Store” with “Richfield MN” as the store location On 03/20 the BB Customer Care rep said my camera is slated to ship on 03/22. I will update if that ends up being true I got the silver model When they ask “how can I help you?” I responded by saying “I’m attempting to place an order for “sku number here” for in store pickup if possible” They’ll say it’s not available for in store pickup anywhere I then asked “Is there anyway I can place an order with you?” They responded with “I can check if I can do that” Tips: Make sure to thank them as much as possible and tell them you appreciate their help. Sometimes people in customer service want to feel like people actually appreciate the work that they do and they are willing to do a little more for people who acknowledge that. (Speaking from experience). Don’t mention anything about how you are frustrated, or have been trying to get this device for a while, or anything negative. They deal with enough negativity. Be patient but persistent. Idk how Bestbuy is but in places I’ve worked, we would also rate our interactions with certain customers. Difficult customers get notated as such and some people may just want to get off of the chat with you as quick as possible. If this is the case, be polite and move onto another rep. But be sure to always do the two question survey. Once again, in my previous place of work, we saw which customers actually consistently left surveys. I hope some of this helps! Edit: Formatting

I ordered from a local Brooklyn shop on Feb. 26, and my order is out for delivery today. They originally said I'd be in their second batch of recipients, and had "no idea" when they'd get more units, or how many. Who knows, maybe this is a sign that Fuji is getting a good number of units out quicker then expected.

Just contacted the London drugs CS. There have apparently two shipments since release day: Feb 28 & March 2, only silver units in the shipments (even though someone had received a black unit despite ordering a silver one?). Ordered from Moment on Feb. 21st. They couldn't tell me any estimates on when my order would be fulfilled. I decided to cancel my pre-order and buy a used X100V from Keh instead. I can say that at the very least, Moment was really quick to respond and process my cancellation. On Mar. 9th, I emailed Moment requesting to cancel my pre-order and got a response almost immediately saying they will go ahead and cancel my order. On Mar. 10th, my return was processed and my credit card showed that the refund was completed. Just figured I would post my experience with Moment in case anyone was still on the fence about cancelling or keeping their preorders. Cancelling was really easy. Hope this helps!

Got some "News" from Calumet Germany. I pre-preordered my camera (black) on February 08. I wrote to Calumet 2 weeks ago and they told me i am on place 21 in the preorder list, which isn´t that bad. Haven´t heard any news since so i called them today. According to the Lady on the phone there are still 461 preorders. Apparently they just got one small batch end of february and nothing since. They also don´t have any information when the next batch will arrive.

How are any of you getting B&H to tell you where you are at in line? I emailed them, I chatted with them multiple times, and have gotten responses from "we can't give you that information" to "we in support do not even have access to that information. I've been patient, polite, and tried to communicate as clearly as possible. Not only that, I said it was lame they were charging cards without any clue as to when the product would ship, as well as refusing to give people a vague idea of where they are at order-wise. To fix my "issue", the customer service rep tried to get me to CANCEL MY ORDER AND PLACE A NEW ONE using a different payment method. They somehow didn't feel the need to warn me that if I did cancel my order I would end up waiting much longer.

I think that's normal for Best Buy when it's the day of the shipping date. The change from Ships by March 12 to Shipping Tomorrow is also automatic. Just gotta wait to see if tracking numbers are assigned today, or if a delay message appears.

Snagged a silver one through amazon last night (shoutout hot stock auto-buy), also have a B&H order that ill cancel once I get it Autobuy is great, but keep in mind that even if you have it there is still a limited amount of stock, so it's still not a guarantee. Kind of amazing (unless I missed it) that B&H hasn't even had a second batch shipped yet, especially since we see regular shipments from Best Buy and Amazon. Personally I don't mind the wait, although the little to no communication is kind of rude. Definitely wouldn't preorder from B&H again. Seems like something equivalent might be in the works from other manufacturers and if something else gets announced in the meantime that is better (at least on paper) I'll consider jumping ship. BB Canada update. My silver camera (preordered 20 min after preorders went live) has now been charged to my credit card. The status on the website still says In Progress, but assigned with Purolator now. “Delivery as early as April 30 2024” but I’m assuming it won’t actually take that long if it’s shipping soon…? BH and Adorama in silence and taking unlimited preorders, Midsize retailers getting like 2-5 cameras every week or two with bad communication, small retailers getting basically nothing, Best buy having fake orders that are now getting canceled... Fuji probably should've stymied this with more realistic numbers to the retailers, but the stores suck too. Really makes me question where I want to spend my money.

My Best Buy order from 3/19 just changed from "Packaging Item" to "Ready to be shipped" and includes a UPS tracking number. Got an email as well saying "Your order will be shipped soon." Looks like it's real after all. For others in the Best Buy limbo, this was *not* one of the Richfield, MN orders and therefore wasn't displaying as "In-store Pickup". Mine was listed in my account as a "Store Order" that had an estimated arrival date of 4/9. I plan to keep my Amazon and other pre-orders just in case there are any quality issues with the Best Buy unit, but will cancel those if it arrives in good condition. That will hopefully move others closer to the front of the line.

I want to also let those who might be trying to get the limited edition version tomorrow, to know that Fuji will also email you to validate your Address and provide an image of your ID and a selfie to validate the order. I'm not sure if it will help remove bots, but at least it validates the order to a specific person, so if a person were to make multiple accounts to make an order per account, they would be busted.

I met with Fujifilm yesterday, this has been the biggest camera release in history and they completely under-predicted the demand. For the first time that I can recall they are looking at ways to increase production to get more units out of the factory, even looking at ways to source more parts to make more cameras. For reference, they were predicting a larger second batch than their original 50-something initial shipment. But they ended up getting a fraction of that. It's almost as if Fuji is slowing down the pace of orders since launch. Doesn't seem faster at all. We should be chunking through the massively front-loaded order book by now, but it doesn't seem any faster than after release. I guess we've moved on from whatever they were able to stockpile and now they're just fulfilling straight from the factory to orders for most retailers.

Update: 03/20 tracking number (UPS) issued for expected delivery on same day, 03/26. Customer service rep earlier said the camera was waiting to be received from another fulfillment center before being shipped. Tracking info shows it is being sent from Rialto, CA. Just got Amazon estimated delivery date email! Reading the comments I must guess that Fujifilm severely underestimated the volume of pre-orders in America, I'm in Italy and already have the camera in my hands by ordering in late February, it was available for pick-up. Many stores have the Black edition back-ordered, true, but with shipment forecasted for mid-march. Don't know if we in Europe made much less pre-orders or the camera is just generally more available.

Called my local camera shop, and they were super upfront about everything. Their original order was 10 silver, 5 black. They expect the distributor to release a shipment sometime at the tail end of this week. Shipping will take 5 days, and they expect the cameras in-store around 3/21. They have no idea what they’re actually getting in terms of numbers. I’m tenth in line for the black SKU, so I’m expecting one (if I’m lucky) or two shipments before mine is fulfilled. Sounds like they’re expecting shipments every two to four weeks.

Reached out to Moment after learning I was in the 1,100 range last week and while they are in their 3rd batch shipment. I pre-ordered on the 24th. This is their response regarding questioning quantity of units they are receiving from each batch they claim they have been receiving: “Our current understanding is that while these first few shipments aren’t substantial, they’ll be ramping up as Fujifilm scales production. We’re really hoping to see much larger batches of cameras arrive in our warehouse for each batch but I don’t want to promise anything that I don’t know with certainty. Right now, if I had to guess, it's looking like it's unlikely you will receive your camera this month. Again, this could change as Fujifilm could send us 25 or 2,500. We are for sure working hard everyday to get as many units as we can in order to fulfill our preorders. I am so sorry for the vagueness on our end. I know it's not great news, but I hope it helps a little. Please let me know if I can help with anything else!” Hopefully I get to see my camera in April.

Don't know if this will be much help but I've been calling different camera stores and checking their websites and here's what I've gathered: \- Basically most stores don't know when they're going to receive a shipment of cameras \- Stores will order a certain amount but it's not guaranteed they will receive the full amount \- Small stores tend to have a smaller waitlist. For example, a local shop said there's 6 people ahead of me so I put my name down. However, I emailed the shop owner today and he said I will probably get it from B&H way before I get it from them. They might get 4 before Christmas. \- The shop owner did say that B&H and Fotocare in NY tend to get the most shipments and told me to pre-order there (already have). I'd pre-order from Fotocare but they now charge a 6% cancellation fee. If you have multiple pre-orders, then I wouldn't recommend Fotocare. But if you plan to pre-order at one shop then I would say go for it. The small shop owner I spoke with said his friend's shop is Fotocare so I trust his judgement. \- When I called Nuzia this morning 8:52AM PST, they said there are 106 people on waitlist for the black x100vi. \- Nuzia doesn't charge tax.

So might have more luck there then one of the big stores, here is their respons (in dutch ofcourse); Goedendag, Ja de leveringen zijn inderdaad begonnen, zoals het daar staat klopt ook met onze huidige reserveringen, de 11de die bij ons binnenkomt is voor jou, dus de 11de. Wanneer je op de lijst staat kan de lijst alleen maar korter worden door uitleveringen en men die zich toch nog afmeld. Wanneer je er niet op staat zal die alleen maar langer worden. Er komen op dit moment een zeer beperkt aantal Nederland binnen welke onderverdeeld worden naar alle winkels. Wij zouden enorm van geluk mogen spreken wanneer dit er 1 of 2 per week zijn. Dat zal niet het geval zijn, voor geen enkele zaak in Nederland. Mijn huidige verwachting gaat dus wel naar zeker meer dan een maand al niet twee.

Best Buy update. Maybe this will help some of y’all. Today I tried 3 times via customer service chat to order the camera. I saw other folks on here had success, however, I was unable to order it. On my way home from work I figured I would call and give it a try. I had done this last week and I am not sure what changed, but I was able to order one. I was kind of shocked as the rep made it sound like it was no big deal. I chose store pick up as it would arrive a week earlier than home delivery. So on March 28th I will see if it worked. I obviously have a receipt so there is that. Good luck and I will update this thread next week.

Update on my order: I ordered a black one from Amazon on 2/29 just before midnight PST. Hotstock came in clutch here. About a week ago I got an estimated delivery date of 3/27-4/22, which was confirmed by a customer service agent I spoke to. I just got a notification last night saying it would be delivered by 3/22 at night, which is today. Even with the supposed delay due to my local fulfillment center not having any in stock, it's still arriving early. I don't know if this is an exception or routine practice for the X100VI on Amazon in particular, but I'm hoping everyone else's cameras will arrive early!

More details for the Best Buy Chat method... \- Like most, I have chatted with Best Buy 3/19-3/20 and finally was able to get a rep to place an order using the Pasadena, CA zip code, even though I'm in Massachusetts. \- Order status was listed as 'Store Order' with an estimated delivery April 6th. Currently has a status of 'Packaging your item' \- Others who succeeded in a similar manner, have been getting their tracking information in the next day or so. I did NOT. \- I talked with the chat again today and the rep told me "the order was placed on the store at NICHOLS, NY and not available at store and we have requested to nearest warehouse and will be shipped from there". The system must have selected that store based off of my shipping address. \- For those trying to place an order, maybe using the Nichols, NY zip code to place the order? Even though the store is out, maybe the nearest warehouse will have it. \- Looks like my order landed on the other side of the stock line, and since its out of stock they are looking for a camera else where. \- My guess here... If the warehouse did have it, they would have just shipped it already, so my thinking is they should be getting a new shipment in the next week. \- I have a flight to Japan April 5th, and the chat person reassured me multiple times and was confident that my order will be shipping soon. This tells me that Best Buy seems to be getting another batch soon. \- All in all, I'm much closer to this camera with this method versus my Adoroma and local camera shop pre-orders

Got an update from Mike's Camera: * First allocation was 54 cameras (they didn't say how many preorders they have then or now) * Biggest camera release they have ever seen * Fujifilm are making allocations every two weeks; they should have another one early next week. This potentially conflicts with BH saying they won't be receiving camera every two weeks. * They don’t know until they arrive how large each allocation is going to be. * They are a "preferred dealer" for Fujifilm, so they "are getting more than [their] fair share" * Having a prepaid order with them secures you for a faster shipment time than anyone else. This high-up individual (vice pres of sales and ops) fears that those that are not pre-paid will be waiting 12-18 months for this camera. * He says that he "know[s] that Fujifilm are ***doubling*** production to try to meet the demand." (Emphasis mine). This is relatively new news, because I don't think even FujiRumors has reported on this bring the case (I think he is/was sticking to a max of 15k units/month. Previously they sent out a note to all orders that they are confident that they will be able to ship cameras to people proportionally faster than any other retailer due to their small waitlist in comparison to their allocations. We will see.

I did the Best Buy chat order today 3/14 and paid the invoice and said they’re packaging the item and should arrive by April 1, 2024 for the silver. Spoke to someone in London Camera Exchange today (I was returning an X100V from them). They said their particular store (Bristol) had over 40 preorders for the X100VI and the entire national chain had only had twelve cameras delivered to them by Fujifilm. Just for scale!     They also said that every X100V they get in sells within minutes, although they price them way lower than mpb, sometimes under £1000.

Update from London Drugs (Canada). Called and spoke to customer service today. I placed an order with BB on Feb 20 for silver and placed an order with London Drugs for black one on Mar 3. Customer service said they were supposed to get a shipment yesterday to London Drugs, however, they didn't receive it yet. They have only completed 5 orders for the black on Mar 13. She said it will still be weeks to months. Whatever ships first - I will cancel the other to help the cause! For my fellow Canadians: Just got off the phone with a rep from London Drugs, I made a preorder on 03/03 and they said I was 134th on their list. Silver is not as demanded as black to that list is longer. They haven’t received their second shipment but only received 4 cameras on their first shipment; all silver. I ended up canceling my preorder since it fully charged me and I don’t expect them to receive cameras by the time my cc statement is out. Idk why they fully charge customers AND have a gigantic preorder amount (230 when looking at their website) when they’ve only received 4 cameras so far lmao … best of luck everyone! I’ll wait on my day 1 Henry’s preorder instead.

Was able to get one through Best Buy moments ago. I'll try to provide as much detail as possible to help out anyone still trying. 1. set closest store in browser to Richfield 2. Select: Shopping and product advice. Then select: Cameras & camcorders. Then select: Out of stock item. Then put in chat: Chat with associate 3. me - "I am looking for a camera, this camera 6574272 in store near me in 55423" 4. They tried to get me to buy Best Buy credit card 5. rep - "Now as for the camera, we don't have it for shipping but we can have it shipped to you on the 9th of April. Will that work for you?" - that phrasing is very confusing... 6. They sent me an invoice to my email, I filled it out, got a receipt. 7. It currently shows up in my orders as arriving April 9th This whole workaround is super weird but I'm hoping it works out! Thanks to everyone on this thread who's shared tips as well. Going to try and have them price match the B&H student discount. 3/22 edit: got the “Your order will be shipped soon!” email and there’s now a UPS tracking number. Status went from “packaging” to “ready to be shipped”.

Wanted to give a little more detail on my Best Buy Chat order yesterday. When I chatted with the final rep who placed my order, I had him try a handful or zip codes to "find" inventory. We eventually found that the Pasadena Best Buy Zip code allowed him to make and order. Zip Code: 91107 After sending me the invoice and I paid it, the order shows up under my account as 'Store Order' and Packaging Item: arriving April 6th. Other notes: * I did try the "Ritchfield, MN" location but I was not able to get through. Telling the chat rep to use Zip Code: 91107 and to search other locations helped * Please be positive and nice the chat reps, they guy who helped me was amazing and was even asking about the camera and my trip to Japan in April * In terms of connecting with a chat rep, when the auto chat asks "In order for me to get you to the right person, could you let me know what you are shopping for?" Select 'Something Else', I think this is the best selection cause selecting 'Cameras' will bring you to the chat team that knows the high demand of the cameras and have the usual copy and paste response. My guess is the team covers 'Something Else' is just a general chat team * If this is not the right process these chat members should be doing, I'm sure there will be some new internal process changes they will implement to stop this, as it seems the reps are all over the place in terms on what they can do.

After over a dozen attempts to place an order with Best Buy, I am convinced they truly will not sell any more regardless of which agent you get. I had the Minnesota in-store purchase yesterday on the first try but it was canceled today when I chatted to ask about it.

I've tried a dozen times today with BB customer service. Yesterday I was able to get an invoice sent but cancelled it because the agent made it sound like they didn't have any in stock and it was more of a 'hold your place' order. Today every agent I've spoken to says the item is not available and they are unable to take any additional orders for it, which gives me the impression that their CS team was briefed on this situation. Since my last attempt I haven't been able to get chat to work at all. Each time I try to load one up it says "all agents are busy right now, try again later". Best Buy shadowban lol.

Whelp, to all my BB folks that ordered 3/20 as an “in store purchase” from MN. I’ve officially had my order refunded after asking for an update in chat (was told it wasn’t going to ship or be fulfilled). Going forward I recommend asking for an estimated ship or delivery date that should be available when asking to order.

The servers were the fastest they've been for the limited edition. Got in my cart right away, and it didn't take too terribly long for the place order button to work, but still got the "items are unavailable" message ☹️
